Fane shook his head. He had planned out his next steps. Whether or not he would succeed would depend on his luck, but as long as he managed to do what he needed to, he would benefit a lot.

Fane took a deep breath before he said, his expression stern with resolute, "We can't leave; we need to join them. Not only that, but we have to emerge as victors."

Rudy had a look of complete shock as he stared at Fane, realizing how committed he was. Earlier, Fane had just said that he was right, that going in would put himself in a lot of danger. This battle was already a huge problem for Rudy. Participating was equal to throwing oneself into the problem with not much to gain from it!

Rudy's lips twitched, suddenly finding himself at a loss for words.
