24 hours back, San Francisco.

“I’m extremely happy for your help, Nikolai,” The American mob boss said with a beaming face. He had been requesting the Russian don a hand in tackling the Irish mafia for months. There has been a conflict happening between these two mafia groups for a decade.

“Christopher, I only accepted your request because of the help you offered in the past… in Boris’s case,” Nikolai said,

Everyone sitting around the oval-shaped conference table was watching Nikolai with respect and a hint of fear in their eyes. Nikolai is one of the most feared and respected dons in the underworld mafia. He’s known to keep his promises and also the bloodshed he creates if someone stands against him.

“One thing I want to make it clear to you all…” he said while glancing at everyone, “Since everything is settled down… My people must not be involved in any of your matters… if you need help with anything… Inform me!” He said in a serious tone and a quite dangerous look on his face.

“I’ll be more than happy to help… only if It’s a serious matter but… if I find any of my men being involved in your matters without my consent! I will have to forget about our friendships,” he declared.

The air in the room suddenly changed into serious and pin drop silence enveloped the board room. The warning behind his words was clear to everyone. No one would ever dare to go against the Russian don, knowing what he’s capable of. This man shows no mercy who hurt his people and every single person in the mafia knows his cruelty is worse than dying.

“One more thing, the shipments will no longer be sent to my mansion… I don’t want to put my men in danger because of it… it must be sent to the warehouse instead,” He ordered while getting up from the chair.

Christopher nodded his head at him with a small smile, “As promised, money will be sent to you tomorrow…” Christopher shook his hand with Nikolai, “My men will deliver the shipments along with the money!” he added.

Nikolai nodded his head and headed towards the exit, “Actually, why are we even negotiating with him… he’s just returning the favour back,” Nikolai stopped as Christopher’s son, Killian’s words reached his ears.

“And about involving your men… Please… we have enough men to handle our situations…”

Nikolai turned his head back and glanced at Killian. The 22 years old man, Killian, sat in the chair with his right leg over his left while everyone in the room stood up in respect to Nikolai.

“He’s a kid! Ignore him!” Alan Cooper, the Right hand of Nikolai, whispered into his ear.

Christopher kept signalling his son to shut up but Killian ignored his father’s warning and went on.

“Actually, why don’t you do us a favour… Why don’t you send that woman… What’s her name… Ah! Penelope… I heard she’s good with hacking and other stuff!… You know what I mean!” he said with a smirk playing at the corner of his lips.

“I might teach her… those..” his words stuck in his throat as Nikolai marched towards him, grabbed his collar, and lifted him up in the air. His toes were barely touching the floor. Nikolai slammed his upper body onto the conference table, everything on the table stumbled and fell on the floor.

Killian stared at the barrel of Nikolai’s gun pointing at his forehead, fear was evident in his eyes as he gulped hard and shivered in terror. Nikolai clenched his jaw in pure rage, Gripping his gun tightly.

Penelope is like a sister to Nikolai and he will not tolerate it if anyone insults or badmouths her.

He pressed the barrier into Killian’s forehead while gritting his teeth and glaring at him, “Five seconds…” he said, glaring at him. Killian stared at him with fear and confusion.

“You have five seconds to apologise… Or else… No one can stop me from pulling this trigger,” He declared,

Christopher immediately rushed towards Killian, “Apologise!” He ordered Killian with a hint of fear and urgency to save his son from the Russian don. Killian glanced at his father and stared at him in disbelief.

“Apologise! RIGHT NOW!” Christopher yelled at Killian,Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

He glanced at his father and noticed the fear in his eyes. Killian never saw his father so desperate and sacred. It didn’t take a second for him to realise how dangerous this man is. Looking at his father scared to death.

“I-I’m so-sorry!” Killian immediately apologised to Nikolai,

“I’m really very sorry, I take my words back… forgive me! Please forgive me!” He begged while shutting his eyes with fear.

“Nikolai, Forgive my son! Please! He doesn’t know how to talk to elders! Forgive him!” Christopher apologised and almost begged to forgive his son. Nikolai glanced at Christopher and only because of his good deeds, Nikolai let go of his son and stepped back.

He tried to control his anger and glanced at Killian, who stood beside his father with his head down. Nikolai’s eyes moved to Christopher who had an apologetic look on his face and was clearly ashamed of his son.

Nikolai’s rage wasn’t something that could be gone in j

Without saying a word, Nikolai turned on his heels and marched out of the meeting room. Darwin, Alan, and Cole marched behind Nikolai, equally angry at them. Darwin glanced at Nikolai and took a note of how angry he was.

“I think you need to go for a walk to calm yourself down,” He suggested, while stopping in front of their car. Nikolai glanced at Darwin and shook his head, “I need to head back to Nob hill,” he said.

“We can go attend the meeting there!” Alan added, “However it’s just about the supplies, we can check it for you!” Alan said while glancing at Darwin. Nikolai glanced at both and sighed, “Fine! I really need to calm myself.”

He strolled in the opposite direction as Alan, Darwin and Cole drove away. A cup of coffee would be the best option right now, He thought and headed over to a cafe nearby. His mood has been completely ruined because of Killian and his comments.
