The Russian Don – A Dark Mafia Romance

Julianna.

“If not?” I asked, breathless, Sacred.

“Simple, She’ll be dead in a minute,” He smiled, I stared at him speechlessly, and I did something very embarrassing, I begged.

“Please,” I said desperately, “Don’t do this,”

“She’ll be just fine if you behave,” He said, his eyes boring into mine.

I watched him frozen in place, I didn’t understand what to do now. My obedience is now tied to Stella’s life. Should I fight him and escape from here? If so, What would happen after that? He will become angrier and search for me and will bring me back in here. He hasn’t hurt me yet, and I don’t think provoking him would be a good idea.

He’s much larger than me, so much stronger. I could see the thickness of his muscles in the shirt he’s wearing and I’m barely reaching his shoulders. While I examine the merits of fighting someone who probably outweighs me by a hundred pounds, I’m sure he would make the decision for me.

I sigh in defeat, “Okay,”

“Good,” he said in a softer tone,

Evil Bastard!

“Now, Get out,” He ordered, grabbing my arm and pushing me towards the door.

“Asshole,” I muttered under my breath and stepped out of the door.

As soon as I stepped outside, My eyes landed on Flora, who was waiting for me outside. She instantly smiled at me as she saw me and walked over to me.

“By the look on your face, my guess is, he must have not approved of something you asked,” she said,Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

I nodded my head, “Yeah,”

We headed back to the room, he put me in. I was pacing back and forth, “Son of a bitch,” I kept cursing him while pacing in anger.

Flora was just watching me, “Who does he think he is?” I groaned in frustration. I sat on the bed feeling defeated by this arrogant man, I glanced at Flora.

“I know you want to escape from here but there is really nowhere to go,” She said, “We are on a private island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.”

The sinking feeling in my stomach worsened. “Whose private island?” I asked.

That’s a dumb question, Julianna, My subconscious muttered.

“Nikolai’s of course,” she replied,

“Who is he? Who are you people,” I asked, my voice steady as I spoke to her, she doesn’t make me nervous like Nikolai.

“Nikolai Vasiliev is a Russian mafia don, I’m here just to take care of you,” she said, “I guess he already told you this… You have to work with me in the kitchen every day from now,”

“Yeah, he told me,” I said,

So, he’s a mafia boss. No wonder he gave me chills.

“Why am I here?” I asked while taking a deep breath, “Please don’t tell me he brought me here for pepper-spraying him because that’s a ridiculous reason,”

“I don’t know, You’re here because Nikolai wants you here,” she replied,

“And you don’t see anything wrong with that?” I asked, but I didn’t get it. How is this woman going along with him?

Is he threatening her the way he’s threatening me? Is he holding her captive as well?

“Nikolai does whatever he wants, it’s not for me to judge his actions,” she shrugs,

“Is he holding you captive as well?” I asked, widening my eyes,

“No,” she chuckled,

“He’s like a family, like a son to me,” she said with a warm smile on her face.

“He’s like a son to you and yet you see him holding us captive?” I asked, “He’s literally forcing me to stay here against my will…”

“Listen dear, I can’t interfere in his Business,” she said calmly,

“He might have his reasons for keeping you both in here, otherwise Nikolai would have let you go by now,” She said seriously and walked out of the room.

I brought this upon myself, god Why did I even meet him in the first place? I tried to push the thought away and decided to open the window, maybe fresh would help me think of possible ways to escape from here. I walked towards it, I opened the window and fresh warm air filled the room.

Flora was right, even If I tried to escape from here I couldn’t even get out of the main door. From the window, I could see how big this place is. I had never in my entire life seen this huge place, There was a huge garden in front of my window with different kinds of plants.

Huge double doors were located at the entrance and there were tons of bodyguards all around the place with guns. The security in here was so damn tight. There was a huge water fountain placed in the middle of the driveway, splitting it into two. The estate was surrounded by tall trees all around it.

It was beautiful.

Looks like this mansion is located in thick woods.

The room they gave me was big, with a bed in the middle and tall bookshelves lined up on the wall with a stack of books. I explored the room and was now walking towards the bathroom. I opened the bathroom door and walked inside, I saw a soap, toothbrush, and toothpaste. In the shower stall, I found body wash, shampoo and conditioner, all expensive brands.

Looks like the Russian don is super-rich, I thought while looking around.

The fact that I’m exploring the room instead of screaming and crying amazes me, but I’m not crying because no matter how much I cry and scream it won’t help. He will not let me go. Now that he made it clear that Stella’s life is at stake, I have to stay strong and face Nikolai rather than cry like a coward.

Suddenly the door of my room opened, and I saw Flora walking inside, “Julianna,” she called while strolling towards me.

“Yes?” I asked,

“Here, I’ve bought some clothes for you,” she said, handing the neatly flooded clothes, I took them.

“Take a shower… I need you in the kitchen,” She said, “Will you..” I cut her off,

“Of course,” I smiled,

Working in the kitchen is better than staying locked in this room. I can also look where Stella is. I quickly showered and put on those clothes. A pair of white lacy panties and a matching bra as underwear and a mini black sundress with buttons in the front.

I followed Flora to the kitchen through the quiet hallway. My eyes widened as I reached the stairs and saw how beautiful the interior was and how huge the mansion was. Everything was deadly silent. My eyes roamed around every expensive piece of furniture in that spacious living room.

I could hear Flora chuckling looking at me gaping, “You like it?” she asked,

“Yes, such a beautiful mansion,” I said while climbing the stairs looking around,

“If you want, I can show you the rest of the mansion,” She offered,

“Please,” I replied excitedly.

The kitchen was particularly impressive, with top-of-the-line appliances and gleaming granite countertops. I helped Flora prepare dinner for everyone in the mansion. Apparently, there are tons of members living in the mansion and she prepares food for them all. The maids in the mansion do everything but cooking, she told me that Nikolai doesn’t want anyone to cook other than Flora.

“You do it alone?” I asked surprised,

“No,” She chuckled, “I’ll take help, of course, I won’t let Nikolai discover it,”

“God! Cooking for these many people is hectic,” I said,

“Yeah,” she replied, “Now that I have you to help me, It wouldn’t be that hectic I guess,” She smiled while we carried the plates over to the huge dining table.

She’s sweet, and spending time with her is completely distracting me from the situation I’m in and my thoughts of Nikolai.

That Devil!
