The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning

Chapter 1248

Chapter 1248

Blake thought, ‘The person Cecilia is afraid of? Her Achilles’s heel?’

She might not know Cecilia’s weakness, but she knew who could

really get under her skin. There was this saying that everyone had

one. And for Cecilia, the only person who could keep her in check was

Zach.

Blake stood by the open door, bowed in gratitude, and said, “Thank

you, Dr. Stewart. I have an idea of what to do now.”

Kai walked to the bedside quietly. Seeing Lana was about to wake up, he gently held and coaxed her.

Lana asked, “What’s wrong?”

Kai smiled, “Nothing. Go back to sleep.”

His gaze deepened as he stared at the illuminated desk lamp, ‘Zach, M know you wouldn’t back

yourself into a corner. Actually, you’ve

orchestrated all of this. Regardless of Cecilia or Madelyn, it’s al within your plan. Otherwise, why would

I say you’re cunning?

‘Kevin was indeed a part of your plan, a pawn in it. However, y put all your chips on Blake this time.

As the person who knew Zach the best, Kevin surprisingly did not figure out exactly when Zach learned

about the connection between

Blake and Cecilia. Kai thought, ‘Zach, you’re really something! You’ve

schemed everyone, and even you are a part of the plan this time.

Hope that things work out in your favor.’

As Blake drove home, she suddenly noticed someone walking toward her with a distressed look. That

person was none other than Liam. She thought, ‘Why is he showing up here at this hour? And in this

freezing weather, too?’

She parked the car on the side of the road, quickly got out, and jogged over to him. She asked, “Liam,

do you know what time it is now? Why

are you here?”

Liam coughed gently a few times, “I couldn’t stop worrying about you. Is everything sorted out?”

Blake avoided eye contact. It seemed like there was hesitation in her heart, and she was reluctant to

share it with him. So, she changed the subject and said, “Looks like it’s about to rain. Let’s head back.”

Back at the apartment, Blake turned on the heat. Then, she went to the kitchen and poured a glass of

water for Liam. She handed him the

glass, “Have some to warm yourself up.”

She walked over and pulled open the curtain; it was almost daylight outside. She was exhausted from

the day. So, she plopped down on the sofa next to Liam, grabbed some fruits from the tray on the table,

wiped them with her hands, and started eating.

She barely had anything to eat the whole day. On the way to buy pastina for Lana, she grabbed a piece

of bread and casually had a few bites to get by.

“Blake, is everything going smoothly?” Liam asked.

Blake held onto a pillow, nestled against the sofa, and nodded with a

drowsy expression. She was nearing complete exhaustion. She

answered, “No major issues for now, but he didn’t provide any

information when he spoke to me. I’ll have to figure out a different

way.”This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
