“Who was the person with whom I slept?” Ethlyn asked, reaching back to her previous topic.

“Ethlyn, I now know that you didn’t cheat on me, but it was just an accident.”

“That’s not the answer to my question.” She said sternly. If Nathan would have heard Roselet’s conversation, even then, he would have observed that even Roselet used to speak the same line when she didn’t receive the answer to her question.

“The same Blood Moon Pack from this Beta is coming?”

“Yes, the same Blood Moon.” Nathan agreed on which Ethlyn clenched her jaw. “Now, don’t start getting mad at each and every pack member of the Blood Moon Pack for whatever happened in the past because it was your mistake that you went in his room. He didn’t come into your room.”

“Really? Everything is my mistake, then where the hell was you when I was in heat that night?” Ethlyn questioned him in anger.

“Mind your tone, Ethlyn. I’m the Alpha of the pack, and I won’t accept you are disrespecting me. I’m trying to mold our relationship, but you’re getting mad at me as if I did something wrong with you. And I didn’t know you were in heat that night. You couldn’t handle yourself after a couple of drinks. That’s why I brought you our room and returned back to the ball.”

“And you never came back from the ball to check on me? Huh? Where were you that night, then? You told me previously that you were with me that night. Hmm? When I woke up in the morning, I found some money on the table, which you accepted, leaving for me so that I could reach the pack by taxi as you had to leave for another pack as soon as possible.” Ethlyn bombarded a number of questions on Nathan.

Ethlyn chuckled, laughing at her own situation. “A man is allowed to cheat on his woman, but the same woman can’t do the same with her man even by mistake.”

“Ethlyn…”

“Open your mouth only when you can speak the truth,” Ethlyn said, and when Nathan didn’t open his mouth, she left from there.

‘Loyal men are almost NIL in this generation.’ She thought, and surprisingly, she didn’t feel any pain after finding out about Nathan’s betrayal. Maybe all her feelings died the day when he rejected her. After reaching home, she sat in the living room, thinking about everything. At the same time, she saw Reva roaming in the kitchen and looking for something. She grabbed the leftover food and after started serving it on the plate.

“What happened, Ethlyn? Why are you sitting in the dark?” She questioned, feeling a pair of eyes on her.

“Because that’s what my life is now.” She mumbled, and Reva reached near her with a plate in her hand and switched on the lamp.

“Nonsense. Stop thinking in a negative way. All you need to grab the hand that will pull you out of this darkness, but you’re not ready to grab anyone’s hand.” Reva pointed out, having her dinner for the second time. “I know mom is acting cupid between you and Nathan and also wants you two to get together again, hoping he to be that person who will pull you out of this darkness. But I want to ask whether it is working?”

“I don’t want to talk about it. Tell me, why are you eating dinner twice?” Ethlyn asked, changing the topic.

“Ahh! About that… my wolf is restless. I don’t know why.” Reva responded, eating the food. “And you know, whenever I’m stressed by thinking something, then I eat. I don’t understand what is making my wolf so restless. I hope it will get better by morning.”

“What… what kind of vibes is she getting?”

“Nothing,” Reva responded. “That’s why I’m stressed, wondering whether it is good news or bad.
