Ethlyn couldn’t control a stupid smile from appearing on her lips whenever her eyes used to land on the flowers. At night, she gasped when she saw her favorite dish on her plate. She wasn’t interested in eating boring hospital food. She didn’t wait for a second and tasted her favorite Sushi. And the moment her tastebud hit an amazing flavor, she recognized who had cooked it.
And the fact that Calvin had cooked it for her was more like a shock to her. She couldn’t understand what he was up to.
And from where he came to know about it?
She kicked all those thoughts away and enjoyed her meal.

On the other side, Calvin smiled after knowing that Ethlyn enjoyed her meal. He had heard somewhere that the way to the heart was through the stomach. So, he used it that way, and at the same time, he was positive that somewhere… a tiny part of his mind would recognize the taste of the food that he had prepared because she loved food cooked by him even though she never admitted on her own but the continuous moan while having breakfast had told him everything.
“Dadddddyyyy”
“Yes, love.”
“I have to confess something,” Roselet spoke, munching the Sushi in her dinner.
“Hmm. Go ahead.” Calvin said, having his dinner with her.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“Therecanbeachancethatmommycangetpregnant.” Roselet spoke in one go. Calvin narrowed his eyes and broke one large sentence that she spoke in one breath, ‘There can be a chance that mommy can get pregnant.’
“I’m sorry.” She whispered, looking everywhere except looking at him.
Calvin smiled and pinched her cheek, “Don’t be sorry because your mommy is not going to get pregnant.”
“Not going to get pregnant?” Roselet asked in surprise. “But I had changed that medicine.”
“And do you really think that your daddy is that stupid?” Calvin laughed, messing with her hair. “I have crossed your age twenty-seven years back, princess. I had given the right pills to your mommy along with the one which you had given to me. That was also good medicine, by the way. It helps Ethlyn to heal quickly.” Calvin said and winked at the end. “I haven’t given birth to you, love. But I definitely know what you think?”
“When you knew everything, then why didn’t you scold me then?” Roselet asked in a low tone.
“I didn’t scold you because I love my baby girl a lot,” Calvin said, pinching her cheek again.
“You didn’t even make me realize that you already know everything.”
“Well, that’s the trick. Sometimes you have to act in the way the other person wants to surprise them with your move. It’s a lesson. Keep it in your mind so that you can use it in the future.”
“Sure, Calvin.”

“Hello, Nathan!!”
“Elena? Why have you called me?” Nathan asked, getting annoyed with this woman. He couldn’t believe that he had once loved her. He came to know from Christian Smith, Ethlyn’s father that what she had done in his life and how she had actually messed it up a big time.
He cursed that moment when he decided to be with her that night. Though he had ended his relationship with her after coming together with Ethlyn but that night, he just couldn’t control himself from talking to her and checking on her to see how she was doing for one last time when Ethlyn wasn’t by his side.
And it cost him the most precious things in his life. Not just that he ended up cheating on his mate, but also his fated mate ended up sleeping with someone who was not him.
“To apologize to you,” Elena spoke, to which Nathan scoffed. Anger was clear in his voice. Not just was he mad at her but also at himself for not trusting Ethlyn when she kept saying that the pup was his. He should have trusted her that she couldn’t have cheated on him.
Even recently, when she mentioned getting trapped in all this but he again trusted her and brushed that topic away.
“Your apology is five years late, Elena. And your apology can’t bring my mate back into my life. You intentionally planned all this, didn’t you? And I’m sure you have called me because of some motive; otherwise, there is no way you would want to get in touch with me, knowing very well how much I wanted to kill you.”
“I’m really very sorry, Nathan. I really am.” Elena apologized on which Nathan rolled his eyes at her fake words. “That’s why I called to you to tell you that Moon Goddess gave created a chance because of which you can have your mate back.”
“Listen, Elena, I love her, but that doesn’t mean I will stoop that low where I will plan and plot to separate Ethlyn from her daughter,” Nathan growled in anger.
“What if her daughter wants Ethlyn to choose whomever she wants? What if Ethlyn had forgotten about having a daughter? What if Ethlyn doesn’t have any memories of anything that happened to her? Perfect chance, right?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean….” Elena told Nathan about Ethlyn’s amnesia and how she had no memory of her life after her seventeen birthday. Not just that, she also informed Nathan that no one was trying to remind Ethlyn about her horrible past, which she went through. “This can be a perfect chance for you to have your mate back because back then, Ethlyn had a crush on you, and she liked you a lot.”
“How do you know about all this? Nathan asked.
“Because someone inside the pack is my well-wisher. Anyways, that’s not the point of discussion. I have given you the suggestion; following it, or NOT is your choice.” Saying this, Elena disconnected the call and broke the Simcard only to throw it away.
‘I will never let you stay happy, Ethlyn. NEVER. You just can’t have the best always. I won’t let that have.’ She swore in her heart.

Ethlyn was about to sleep when she saw something in the basket of apples. She leaned toward it and grabbed the paper in it.
‘Maybe I didn’t love you
Quite as often as I could have
And maybe I didn’t treat you
Quite as good as I should have
If I made you feel second best
Girl, I’m sorry I was an idiot.’
Ethlyn’s heartbeat rose after reading this. She kept reading it again and again with a big smile on her lips. By now, she knew that Calvin had asked Liara to make her stay in the hospital for fake treatment. To be honest, she hated staying here. It reminded her how she ended up missing her daughter’s childhood by staying in the hospital.
But this time, if staying in the hospital meant getting a chance to see this side of Calvin, then she would stay her whole life here.
‘He told me that he will be back again.’ She thought. ‘Maybe he would have got busy with our daughter.’ Ethlyn didn’t realize when she ended up falling asleep while she was waiting for Calvin.
When Calvin walked into her room, he mentally cursed himself for coming late, but then he wasn’t sure how she would have reacted after finding him again and again in her room.
“Sorry, Our daughter took my time tonight, OR I was thinking of coming here sooner.” He whispered, looking at her sleeping figure. “Sorry reminds me that I have to apologize to you for multiple reasons and for multiple numbers of times.”
“I’m sorry that we fought and argued.
I’m sorry for all the trouble that ensued.
I’m sorry I took you for granted.
I promise it wasn’t what I had intended.
I’m sorry I made you feel so bad.
Forgive me, kitten; I swear I’m going mad!!” He apologized again in a low tone. He wanted to lean toward her and steal a kiss, but he was scared that if he would get caught, then his image would be tarnished in front of her AGAIN.
