The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

105

Ethlyn opened her mouth to speak after a while, but she couldn’t because she might have to say the same things to Roselet if things wouldn’t work between Calvin and her. How could she expect a girl of barely five years to understand this when she wasn’t ready to understand that her parents were separating after knowing each other for around twenty-five years?

“By the way, Alpha Calvin, I must appreciate your medical team. Whatever dose they gave me healed me quicker than my wolf ever did.” Christian said, changing the topic and looking up at Calvin.

“Thank you. But I won’t take the credit for the work done by my Uncle Oliver; he is great with herbs and all these medicines.” Calvin said before adding, “At the same time, I promise you that I will take this compliment happily when both Ethlyn and Reva will raise the bar of the medical department of my pack.” He added, to which Ethlyn’s eyes widened, and she looked at him in shock.

“Ethlyn?” Christian muttered in equal shock as Ethlyn.

“Yes!! Why not?” Calvin said, shrugging his shoulder. He learned from Zordan about Reva’s pursuing her studies in medicine. So, basically, both sisters had their dream in the same sector. “I didn’t miss how proud you were feeling while talking about Lee in front of my dad.”

“I really hope that one day your useless girls will make you feel proud in the same way,” Calvin said, on which Ethlyn growled at him. “What? Nothing is there to feel bad about. It’s true. You both don’t know a thing.”

“Dadddd. He keeps teasing me about it.” Ethlyn complained, glaring at him.

“Well, he is not saying anything wrong. Either ignore him or shut his mouth by showing that you’re not useless.”

“Excuse me, both of you!!! Ethlyn, tonight at 8 PM.” By saying this, Calvin left, letting them spend their time together.

“What was that?” Christian asked in confusion.

“Actually, dad…” Ethlyn started narrating everything.

“Hey everyone!! Sorry for joining you all late.” Calvin apologized, joining the male teams who were playing football. “What is this?” he asked in shock, watching his dad, Bruce Collin, Zordan, Artemis, and Ethlyn’s Grandfather against Liara’s mate.

“Five against one?” Calvin laughed. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“Don’t laugh, Calvin. Theo is not letting anyone goal and also checking the score.” Artemis said, rolling his eyes.

“No way!! The score is already 1-0.” He cried. “I’m also joining you all.” Saying this, Calvin joined them. “Nothing personal, buddy,” he added, looking at Liara’s mate, who showed his thumb.

“Dad, so you got along with him?” Calvin asked Brandon, and he earned a glare from his father. “I got my answer.” He was about to start when all the females and pups joined them to watch the match.

“Who called them?” Brandon asked.

“I did,” Zordan replied. “What can be better than our mates cheering for us, isn’t it?”

“Yep!!” Ethlyn’s Grandfather agreed, waving his hand to his mate. “Let’s begin the game, Calvin.”

Calvin nodded his head and kept the football on the center mark, and looked into Theo’s eyes, who took his position. Along with him, others too took their position.

Calvin passed the ball to Zordan, but in a second, everyone saw how Theodore grabbed the ball before it could have reached near Zordan.

“What the hell!!” Calvin cried in shock while other was looking at it as if this was normal for them to see this. Liara started, clapping happily.

“Why can’t we see Uncle Theo when he runs?” Roselet asked in confusion, and other kids looked at their elders for their answer.

“That’s because Uncle Theo is a hybrid. Half Vampire and Half werewolf, that’s why humans can’t see him, and without your wolves, you all are just like humans.” Liara replied.

“Oooo!! That’s nice.” Roselet looked at her uncle in Aww. “He is different, just like Arline, who is half witch and half werewolf, isn’t it, Aunt Caroline?”

“Yes, sweetheart.”

In the next minute, everyone started stopping that one man from reaching the Goal area while Brandon was ready as a goalkeeper. He missed a goal for once; that wasn’t going to happen again.

“Damn!!” Theodore hissed when Brandon grabbed the ball when he hit it toward the goalpost. They both glared at each other before he threw the ball as hard as he could. Theodore quickly ran from there to reach the near-goal area.

While the pups and females were watching the match with interest by eating popcorn.

After forty-five minutes!!

“And the winner of the match is Uncle Theo,” Roselet screamed, running toward him happily and hugging his thigh.

“Pup… shoo… shoo!!” Theodore muttered, silently asking her to go away from him.

“You’re very funny, Uncle. But I’m not a dog.” Roselet giggled. “Come on, carry me!! Grandma told me that you don’t know how to behave around pups, and I have to teach you that.” Hearing it, Theodore helplessly picked her in his arms.

“Me too. Me too.” Arline came running next to him. Theodore also picked her up in his other arms. “It’s the first time you met us, and we met you, and you didn’t bring anything for us, Uncle Theo. It’s a ground rule to always bring something for kids.”

Both princesses of the house started teaching him a lot of things about pups, as asked by Sophia. Liara looked at her mother and smiled widely.

“She is great, isn’t she?” Calvin spoke.

A/N: Sorry, Today I wasted my time scolding myself for not completing this story yet instead of writing story. I was kind of pissed at myself and wasn’t happy with this month’s performance. My highest word count is 146K a month, and I have touched 90K this month, the lowest in the whole of 2022. Feeling so disappointed.
