Chapter 76
Violette POV
It’s been a few days since I’ve been out of the dungeon. I still feel sick, but I’ve not eaten anything to throw up. Every time someone tries to come in to feed me, I begin to shift.. it’s not like I can control it.. it just happens. I don’t want anyone near me.
Though I’ve forced myself to drink water, I can’t stomach the thought of food so I don’t bother. I crawled out of bed after Enzo brought in water for my bath, and I stood over the tub and stared at the water.
I will bathe myself.
I looked down at the ripped gown on me and untied the string between my sore breasts. I looked in the mirror across from me and noticed they were bigger as well. I held my hands on my belly and sighed.
“There’s no way,” I whispered to myself.
Loren had thankfully replaced my door, but unfortunately, there were no locks just as Viktor requested.
I was still very.. very angry. But I’d calmed myself down enough to think straight. I wanted to forget everything. To forget Viktor and his kind moments..
Everything.
I climbed into the bath and lowered myself in. Sobs escaped my throat at the thought of him. He didn’t care for me. None of them did. I held my breath as I sank under the water and drenched my hair. Only I didn’t want to come up for air.
I let all of the air out of my lungs, sinking me further into the tub until I hit the bottom. I held myself under until my sight grew black, but before I could pass out, I was pulled from the water.
“What are you doing?” Loren asked with fear in his voice.
“I’m bathing,” I said plainly.
“It didn’t look like that to me.” He said. I pushed his hands off of me and growled.
“You took me to that dungeon. I do not want to see you.” I growled.
“I’m on strict orders to watch you, Violette. I’m sorry.” He said.
“Get out,” I snapped. He did as I asked and walked out of the room, but left the door open.
I let out a growl as I stood up and stepped out of the tub and walked over to the door. I slammed it shut and made my way back to the tub and climbed in.
I began lathering the soap into my hair, the lavender scent soothing my nerves and sore body.. I quickly washed myself and rinsed my hair before stepping out and drying off. I grabbed the fresh gown he’d left for me and slid it on.
My nose caught the scent of food and I began gagging. I couldn’t stomach the smell. Why are they so hellbent in feeding me when I can’t even eat? I picked up the tray and walked to the door, sat the tray on the floor, and kicked it away with my feet before slamming the door shut once again.
I climbed back into bed and drank a bit of water, then picked up the book I’d been reading and opened it.
The door opened and I growled.
“Leave,” I said.
“Stop slamming the door or I’ll rip it down again.” Viktor said. His voice made the hair on my arms stand.
“Come with me.” He said.
“No,” I growled.
“Do you want to see Snowball?” He asked. Is this a trick? Because I will shift and hurt him.
“Why?” I asked. I placed down my book and looked at him.
“Please, Violette just come. You can see Snowball.. we can talk.” He said.
“I don’t want to talk,” I said.
“Fine. Then, let me take you to Snowball. He misses you.” He said. I began to move when he reached for me.
“Don’t touch me,” I growled. He put his hands up in surrender and backed away.
“Of course, the horse would get you to move.” He said under his breath. I glared at him in annoyance. I followed him down the hallway and stairs, ignoring the people staring and looking at me like they’d seen a ghost.
“Thought you didn’t want anyone to see me?” I asked.
“That doesn’t matter now.” He said. He led me to the side doors of the castle and opened them. I walked outside and when I saw him.. I felt so much relief.
I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck.. I’d missed him dearly in the time I’d been away.
I scratched his snout and he snorted. It brought a small smile to my face.
“You can ride him if you want,” Viktor said. I looked back at him.
“Are you not afraid I’ll try to run?” I asked. He shook his head.
“Nope. Because you only get to ride him if you’re with me.” He said. I let out a growl.
I wanted so badly to ride him.. but was it worth having Viktor touch me? I debated for a moment before climbing on. I didn’t move as Viktor walked over and struggled to climb on. I rolled my eyes as I held out my arm and he grabbed it and pulled himself up.
“Thanks.” He said softly. He held onto my h**s despite me trying to peel his hands off.
“I’m not falling off this thing.” He growled.
“This thing has a name,” I growled in response.
“I’m sorry.” He said with a sigh.
I leaned down and scratched Snowball’s neck and whispered to him.
“Let’s go, boy.. nice and slow,” I said.
I felt Viktor’s hands rub my h**s and it began to annoy me.. because it was making me feel things I shouldn’t be feeling.
“Will you stop?” I growled.
“Stop what?” He asked as he leaned closer to me. He leaned his face into my hair and took a deep breath and I growled.
“I’m just enjoying the ride.” He said softly. He moved my hair over my shoulder and kissed the nape of my neck. For a moment I leaned into it until my mind came back to reality.
“Stop, Viktor,” I growled.
“You stop. You’re the one fighting it.” He said. I looked back at him and saw that stupid smirk on his face.
“I will bite you if you don’t,” I growled. He leaned into my ear and spoke.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“Bite me. I dare you. I might like it. Actually.. i know I will.” He said. I closed my eyes as I fought with myself. Stop it, Violette.. he hurt you. Don’t cave. Please..
