The Princess Slave

Chapter 17

Viktor POV

“My King, what a lovely slave..” King Gatlin said. His mate stared angrily at Violette who hadn’t done a thing.

“She is, isn’t she?” I asked as I brushed a piece of her white hair over her shoulder. Tonight, I will be breaking in my slave. Though.. she’s probably already broken in so it won’t be much fun.

“Very nice breasts.” Gatlin praised them. She wore a white sheer gown that tied in the breasts. You could see every outline of her body.

“A bit cheap looking, if you ask me.” Gatlin’s mate grunted.

“Oh Mary, you’re just upset your breasts aren’t perky like that anymore. Go get a drink.” Gatlin grumbled. How mates could ever treat each other like that completely baffles me. Mates are to be cherished and loved. Taken care of and never hurt or talked down to. Not whatever it is they have.

I walked over to my throne and sat, Violette was already at my feet. I found myself unable to keep my eyes off of her at times. I figure it’s probably her heat flaring back up, but it still bothers me that I do so.

Minerva has begged me to move her across the castle.. but I just can’t seem to bring myself to. It also makes me angry that Minerva even thought to ask me to.

I looked down at Violette. She sat on the floor staring at her fingers as she played with them in her hand. No. She’s not moving rooms.

“King, Viktor,” Richard said as he bowed in front of me. I noticed out of the corner of my eyes that Violette tensed at the sound of his voice.

“Richard.” I nodded.

“Is the slave still unable to touch or are you sharing now?” Richard asked.

“No, Richard. I won’t be sharing my slave.” I said bluntly. He scoffed and shook his head.

“What a shame. Poor slave probably doesn’t know what it’s like to feel good.” He snickered. I stood up and growled.

“Mind your tongue in my kingdom, Richard,” I growled. He turned his back and walked away not saying a word more. If it wouldn’t start another war, his head would be on a spike in the front of the castle.

It’s been silence from King Arthur since his attempt to have his daughter killed. It only makes me curious as to what he might be planning. He’s a very vindictive wolf, and he can be very harsh.

Memories of being drugged on high doses of wolfsbane daily flooded my mind. After her father captured me, he experimented with different dosages of wolfsbane. He would see how I would react to the whip with more or less.

I gripped the arms of my throne and closed my eyes. I shouldn’t think of it. I got out. It’s over. He had his fun, now it’s my turn.

I glanced at Violette. A small smile is visible on her face as she’s lost in thought. How does she die that? How does she smile knowing this will always be her life?

As people danced, smiling and laughing with their mate.. I dreamt of finally finding my mate. Dancing, embracing each other. Violette would be of no use. She would no longer be my slave but merely a maid. I would never touch another woman again.. she would be the first woman in my bed. The only woman who can ever carry my pups and continue my bloodline.. but it’s highly unlikely I ever will.

Usually mates know instantly. The pull is tremendous and you just absolutely know you’re looking at your mate. The need to mark them is instantaneous. But when my family was cursed, all of that was taken away and we were left guessing.

It was a sick prank. That’s what this war between Violette’s family and mine used to be. Then her Father took it way too far.

The mate bond will only reveal itself after I’ve mated my partner and marked her to seal reversal. If the mark disappears, she’s not my mate and I’m cursed to keep searching. I’ve just never found anyone who seems remotely interesting.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“My King.. may I ask for this dance?” Princess Amelia walked up to me confidently. She is quite beautiful.. she’s tall with an olive skin tone and dark brown hair. Her bright blue eyes studied me as I sat on my throne.

“I don’t see why not.” I looked at Violette and spoke.

“Do not move, slave,” I growled.

“Yes, master.” She replied without moving an inch. If it wasn’t for Amelia tugging on my arm I would have punished her for not looking at me as she spoke.

I pulled Amelia in, placing a hand at her waist and the other in her opposite hand. She placed her other hand on my shoulder and the dance began.

“Is that the Princess, miss Violette? Is she your slave?” She asked.

“Yes, she is. Didn’t you know?” I asked.

“My parents never really let me around her because of her Father. So that means they never talked to me about her either. I was just curious as to why she’s your slave..” She said.

“Because our kingdoms are in a war and I’ve got the answer to the end,” I said. I looked over at Violette who was still sitting peacefully on the floor minding her business.

“Speaking as a Princess, we aren’t copies of our parents and we don’t control what they do.” I stopped dancing and looked at her blankly.

“Im sorry. It isn’t my intention to offend you..I’m just saying. Maybe she isn’t like the rest of her family at all. I’m nothing like my parents. And thank the moon goddess, I’m proud to admit that.” She chuckled.

“Yes, your parents are a bit..”

“Stupid? Rude? Mean to each other? Yeah. I know. I don’t know what went right with me.” She said. A small smile came to my face and I flashed a look at Violette. I looked at my throne but she was nowhere to be seen.

Where is she?
