“| did wish her dead!” Donna burst out, her voice trembling with emotion. “Don’t think | don’t see what you're up to. Tomas fell silent. And his silence was the last straw for Donna.

“So, this really is what you're thinking.” Donna’s voice cracked, tears streaming down her cheeks, “I got it right. Haven’t you thought about how old your three children are? You still like her even now.”

Donna couldn't stop crying. She didn’t understand why she had given so much but couldn’t touch her husband's heart! From junior high until now, she had devoted the best years of her life to the man before her. She thought she was chasing the light.
