The Priceless Bride: A Tycoon’s Obsession

Chapter 71: Straight Man

Much more reliable than everyone around her, such as Briar, and Liam who keeps saying he regrets it…

Surprisingly, in response to her initiative, Callum actually pulled her away, walked to the bedside, and dialed the hotel’s internal line, “Room 1206 needs a medical kit, thank you.”

After saying that, he hung up the phone without giving the other party a chance to answer.

Aurelia: “…” With such a foul breath and expression, it would be strange if anyone sends him anything later.

Unexpectedly, within three minutes, the doorbell of the room rang. Aurelia ran over to open the door. It was the service lady carrying a first aid kit.

She took the first aid kit and thanked him politely, “Thank you, Auntie.”

“You’re welcome, little girl.”

Back in the room, Callum opened the first aid kit, found what he needed, and pushed Aurelia into a chair, “Sit still, I’ll clean your wound.”

“Ah? Can you?”

The man gave her a cold look and said, “When I was a special forces soldier, I did a lot of this kind of thing.”

“Ah, you really have been a soldier!” She said that when he was standing on the school playground, he looked like a professionally trained soldier. I didn’t expect that he had been a special forces soldier! Tsk tsk tsk…

“Then why did you come back to be the president? Wouldn’t it be better to be a special forces soldier?” she asked puzzledly.

I really want to see Callum in military uniform, he must be super handsome!

“It’s a long story. I’ll tell you later when I have time.” The man opened the disinfectant and skillfully dipped the cotton swab in the disinfectant.

“Hiss…” The wound disinfectant was a very cheap one, and the quality was a bit poor. It stung the wound and it hurt a bit. Aurelia grimaced in pain, but fortunately, she could still bear this level of pain. However, if it were any other delicate girl, she would definitely cry in pain!

Callum paused, this disinfectant had no effect on him, and he forgot to remind Aurelia, who was a girl. His tone softened a little, “Bear with it, it will be over soon.” His hand moved three times faster.

“It’s okay, it’s okay. I can bear it.” If her two best friends saw Aurelia like this, they would definitely scold her severely.

If it were any other girl, she would definitely hum a few times on purpose to win the man’s sympathy.

But Aurelia deliberately made herself look like she wasn’t in any pain at all, and didn’t even think about acting cute…

After a moment, she looked at the man who was carefully cleaning her wound and couldn’t help asking, “Callum, why did you come to me?”

Callum said nothing, taking out a Band-Aid from the medicine box and putting it on her.

“Can I not put on a band-aid?” She refused to put a band-aid on her face. It looked weird! It wasn’t a big wound.

The man also refused, “No, I’ll take it off tomorrow morning.”

“… Okay, then why don’t you answer the question I asked you.”

The man put the medicine box aside and said casually, “You are my Sweetie, isn’t it normal for me to come to you?”

“…” Couldn’t this man say something nice to tease her? After a long while, she finally said “oh” in a depressed tone.

Callum rushed her to the bathroom, “Take a shower and go to bed. You have a flight tomorrow morning.”

“I haven’t had enough fun yet!” She meant it.

Callum really couldn’t understand why she had to stay here even though she was robbed. The man didn’t bother to talk nonsense with her. He just pulled her into his arms and threatened in a deep voice, “Are you going to listen to me?”

“…” Aurelia rushed to the bathroom to escape his dishonest hands, “I’m going to take a shower first.”All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Aurelia took a shower in the bathroom with a trembling heart, and when she came out, Callum was working.

The cell phone she had put aside just happened to ring. She walked over to see the caller ID. Aurelia hesitated for a moment, then walked to the balcony and swiped the answer button.

“Hello.”

“Aurelia, what happened? I just finished a meeting.” Liam’s voice came from the other side.

Aurelia looked at the dark lake and curled her lips, “It’s okay, go ahead.”

“Aurelia, I’ll pick you up when you get back.”

“No, Liam, don’t call me anymore. I’m married now. In order to avoid Hubby misunderstanding, let’s contact each other less!”

Liam was silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled, “Aurelia, you don’t have to lie to avoid me. You’re only 21, how can you possibly get married?”

“Aurelia.” A deep male voice came from behind her. Aurelia’s back stiffened. Did Callum hear it? She promised Callum that she would not text Liam anymore.

Liam on the other end of the phone obviously heard it, “Aurelia, who is that man? Why are you still together so late?”

Aurelia turned around and saw Callum standing behind her, staring at her with an unpleasant expression.

Feeling inexplicably guilty, she hung up the phone in a hurry, “Of course it’s me, Hubby. I have something to do here. Bye.”

Looking at her phone, Aurelia didn’t know how to explain to the man in front of her. She smoothed her hair and said, “Well, don’t misunderstand…”

Callum said nothing and turned back into the room.

…Aurelia had no choice but to follow, looking at the man’s back, and continued to explain dryly, “Uncle Finnegan, I really have nothing to do with him now.”

Callum turned around, his sharp eyes falling on her face that was flushed with anxiety, “What can make me believe you?”

Aurelia sighed, put her phone aside, hugged the man’s waist, kissed him, and asked softly after a long while, “Uncle Finnegan, is this okay?”

She offered him a kiss, so of course he wouldn’t refuse! Not only would he not refuse, he would even ask for more.

He silently held her tightly in his arms and blocked her red lips again…

The moment they hugged each other, the room suddenly became filled with an infinite atmosphere of ambiguity. Aurelia was carried to the big bed by the man at some point, and he locked her tightly under him when they were infatuated.

Early the next morning

A woman followed the man out of the hotel. If you look closely, you will find that both of them look very bad.

The man’s face was livid, and although the woman was in good spirits, she was obviously a little depressed.

Jim, who was behind them, was carrying Aurelia’s luggage and didn’t dare to breathe. He could certainly feel the subtle atmosphere between the two people.

Are they quarreling again? That shouldn’t be the case. They don’t seem to be angry.

Could it be that Mr. Finnegan disliked the room he stayed in last night? Did he not sleep well? He had clearly suggested changing to a better hotel, but Mr. Finnegan refused!

It’s really puzzling. Never mind. As an assistant, he won’t worry about it anymore.

They went to the VIP lounge at the airport and sat opposite each other. Aurelia glared at the man opposite her, “Straight man! Straight man! Straight man cancer!”
