Chapter 86 Freya’s Escape

Purchase them all Nathaniel’s patience was wearing thin as he watched Freya haggle.

They had been standing there for a good ten minutes, attracting curious glances from passersby

His attire was clearly high–end, indicating his upper–class status. Yet, here he was, standing in front of a stall selling low–quality handicrafts.

His female companion, wearing a mask, appeared thin and frail. A scar adorned her forehead, and she was holding a teapot, arguing over fifty cents with the vendor.

Nathaniel felt a sense of discomfort.

“Buy them all,” he reiterated, eager to leave and return to Newport Villa with Freya.

Freya glanced at Nathaniel, seeking confirmation, “Can I really buy them all?”

Nathaniel nodded, a decision he would soon regret.

Freya bought everything in sight, and Nathaniel’s arms were soon overflowing with her purchases.

He had no choice but to follow her, all the while wondering where Koen had disappeared to.

He had left the hospital without his bodyguards, confident he could handle Freya and ensure her safe return to Newport Villa. He was determined not to let her escape.

“Mr. Morgan, could you hold this, please?”

Freya had purchased a set of sandalwood root carvings. The carving was long, and she walked over to Nathaniel, her hands full.

Nathaniel was already burdened with her purchases and found it difficult to move.

As he reached out to help Freya, the root carving in her hand suddenly fell onto his head.

His arms dropped, scattering the items he was holding. Nathaniel was taken aback by Freya’s sudden attack. He instinctively ducked, but the carving still hit him.

He clutched his head, watching as Freya darted into the alley across the street.

“Freya!”

Nathaniel, in a state of panic, chased after her. However, Freya’s surprise attack had slowed his reaction time, and he could only watch as she disappeared around a corner.

“Freya!” Nathaniel clutched the back of his head, blood seeping out. His eyes were filled with anger.

He gritted his teeth, his expression stern. “Freya! How dare you!”

Freya darted into the labyrinthine alley. Antique Street was a tourist area and part of the old city.

Chapter 86 Freya’s Escape

Freya ran like a madwoman, silently repeating a series of numbers in her head.

For this escape, she and Peyton had memorized the map of Brusville.

Finished

Peyton, worried about potential mishaps, had cycled through this area multiple times, marking key points. on the map.

She had noted which alleys to turn into or continue straight, which were cluttered with debris, and which had food stalls.

Freya, fearing she might lose her way in her panic, had carefully numbered these intersections.

As she ran, panting heavily, she continued to recite the numbers in her head.

One!

Freya took a left into a narrower alley.

Two!

She continued straight ahead until she reached a dead end. The houses here had been built decades ago, encroaching on each other’s space, leaving only a narrow gap for one person to pass through.

Three!

Freya squeezed through the gap, dirtying her clothes. Nathaniel had spent a small fortune on her casual sportswear when they left the hospital.

She didn’t have time to worry about her clothes. She could always change later.
