Freya turned on her phone to look through the materials as she took notes. Once she had some inspiration, she would draw it out with a pencil.
She made some soup for Peyton so that she could drink it after work to sober up.
While she was deep in her thoughts, she stopped writing.
If she could earn more than enough, she would pay off her mother’s medical expenses. And she would ask Peyton to resign her job as a bar girl.
Her health declined drastically from working in this field of work.
Peyton loved flowers. When she was young, her father was a coal miner; he died in a work accident.
Her late father’s pension was being scammed by her mother’s new boyfriend. Her mother killed herself by jumping into the river. Her grandfather had passed away a long time ago, so she lived with her grandmother.
When she was in high school, her grandmother fell ill. So she became a bar girl to earn money in order to pay for her grandmother’s medical expenses.
In the end, her grandmother passed away, and she was stuck in this hellhole. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Peyton once told her that she loved flowers. In her memory, only when the summer arrived, her grandmother’s garden would be full of calendulas; it would always be her all–time favorite.
Freya drew the white t–shirt full of calendulas for Peyton.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door impatiently
She was stunned as she looked at her watch; it was two o’clock in the morning.
Usually Peyton would be back at their rental house around three o’clock at midnight; their life schedule. was always upside down.
Three o’clock was actually the earliest that she could be back; most of the time, she came back even later.
She thought that Peyton forgot to bring her key.
“Wait for a while, Peyton.” I’m coming. She put her drawing pencil away, and she walked to the door.
She opened the door and said, ‘Peyton, did you forget to bring the…”
She froze seeing who was on the door, she stared at the man in disbelief.
This was an old building; there was not a security guard around. The gate of the building was long gone; maybe someone stole it to sell.

There was dim light from her house that shone on Nathaniel’s handsome face; he was wearing a custom–made black suit, and his tie was loose.
He looked out of place in the building, which was so old, and he seemed vibrant.
He glared at her, and he reeked of alcohol.
She was terrified looking at his expression, and she took a step back and wanted to close the door. However, he blocked the door with his arm, strangled her neck with another hand, and shoved her into the living room.
She screamed, but her neighbor was far too indifferent to care about her.
Her eyes widened; it could be seen that she was terrified. She raised her hand to push him away.
He pinned her hands and pulled them above her head, and he pinched her waist to restrain her from moving.
He bit her mouth, and when she gasped out of pain, he kissed her even harder.
This was their first passionate kiss after three years, although he was forcing it on her.
He felt overwhelmed as he was surrounded by her scent; she was trembling in his arms. He snapped. and lost control.
He wanted her crazily, right here, right now.
