Ms. Lovett turned off the chandelier and switched on the nightlights to help her sleep. Under the dim light, Freya was getting sleepy and started to doze off. However, she did not sleep well. She was having a nightmare where the child was covered in blood, and he was trying to reach her for help

She turned her face away from him, but just as he leaned forward to check on her, Freya’s entire body tensed up, as she stopped his body with both of her hands. She looked at him in terror, worrying that he would try to get intimate with her again.
Nathaniel wore an awkward expression. He took a deep breath before getting up and covered her with the quilt. “I’ll sleep in the next room. You don’t have to work tomorrow, so try to get some rest at home.”
“You don’t have to worry much about the drafts for Andala Corp. Just send them in after signing the contract. You can just relax in the villa.”
Freya’s heart sank upon hearing it. Is he going to lock me up again? How long is he going to be in grief after knowing about the baby? If he’s going crazy, will he lock me up forever as revenge?

For the next few days, Nathaniel would come back to the villa to eat with Freya, despite having a heavy workload. They would even take a walk together in the garden. Although they were having bad blood and barely talking to each other, they still made the fake impression of a normal couple. Their lives seemed boring, yet strangely peaceful.
This day, Freya emailed the blueprint of the East Saeville Nursing Home to Mandy, before walking the dog in the garden. Nathaniel gave this golden retriever to her, hoping that it could be her companion whenever she felt lonely. She never had a pet before, and she was always busy with her work. She could even put her daily routine aside when she was immersed in the blueprint. To her, she did not have the time to look after a pet.
