The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 48 That bast*Rd!

“Doctor, will she be alright?” Aiden asked for the second time with his hands on each other on the doctor’s table.

He was unusually worried about how she suddenly collapsed and it made him think if Trenton did something to her before he arrived.

“She is fine Mr Aiden.” The doctor replied in a small smile.

“Are you sure?” Aiden asked.

“I can’t lie to you on her case sir, believe me.” The doctor answered and Aiden sighed in relief.

The doctor opened a file beside him on the table and took out an envelope.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

“Congratulations, Mr Aiden, you’ll soon be a father.” He said with his smile wider than before.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Aiden asked trying to figure out what the doctor really meant.

“We found out that your wife is pregnant sir.” The doctor repeated still with the smile and stretched out the envelope to Aiden.

Aiden stared at him with widened eyes as he collected the envelope from him. He tore it up immediately like he didn’t believe the doctor and brought out the neatly folded paper in it.

He opened it and became more shocked than before.

“Is this really true?” Aiden found his voice to ask.

“Yes sir, it is.” The doctor nodded with his smile slightly beginning to fade away.

Though, this wasn’t the first time he was seeing this shocked expression on an expecting father, but he just couldn’t fathom why Aiden had this look on because the others always had a reason.

Aiden didn’t know weather to be happy or sad at the news, he only gulped down nothing as he took in a deep breath.

Truth be told, he has sometimes wished for this day to come but he still had one fear and that was if Tihana was ready, especially now that they were having issues.

He quietly folded the paper back and put it in his inner suit pocket then stood up.

“Take me to her ward.” He ordered and the doctor stood up with a nod.

“Please, follow me.” He led Aiden out and within a minute, they were in her ward.

She was up already and seemed to be in thoughts.

Aiden wondered if she has already been informed but was proved wrong when she asked a question.

“What happened to me?” Tihana asked noticing the people in the room.

“You fell unconscious but thankfully you were brought in here quickly and now you are fine.” The doctor replied.

Tihana sighed and took a glance at Aiden who also stared back at her keenly.

“Can you discharge me now, since you said I am fine?” She asked, making sure not to meet Aiden’s gaze.

He has been mysteriously quiet since he entered.

“Sure, I will but that won’t be now because we still have to do some checks on the baby.” The doctor divulged in a teeth revealing smile.

Tihana furrowed her eyes at the doctor like he had gone mad or something.

“Leave us alone.” Aiden voiced out, stopping the doctor from saying what he wanted to say.

Aiden went closer to Tihana on the bed in slow steps, she was beginning to find him creepy with how he’s been acting since he came in.

Without further hesitation, Aiden brought out the test result, he gave it to her and she collected it after staring at him for a while.

She slowly opened it and didn’t clearly understand what was written, so she took her gaze back to Aiden.

“You’re pregnant.” Aiden stated dryly and the paper dropped from her hands.

“She is pregnant?” They heard from the door and Aiden turned to look.

“She is pregnant?” Grandfather asked again, this time with a broad smile as he walked to the couple.

“What are you doing here, grandfather?” Aiden asked.

“I heard what happened to your wife from Wayne, so I decided to visit since she is my grand daughter in law.” Grandfather said with his hands apart. He was in all smiles.

He turned to Tihana with a cheeky smile.

“Wait, you’re truly pregnant?” He repeated.

“You’ve heard it grandfather, she is truly pregnant, the doctor confirmed it.” Aiden replied instead to save Tihana of the stress.

“Oh my goodness!” Grandfather squealed like a child and engulfed Tihana in a warm embrace.

He also pulled Aiden into the hug and Aiden almost choked due to how tight grandfather held him into the hug.

Grandfather disengaged after a while.

“Congratulations, my dear. This calls for a great celebration.” He announced ecstatically.

Tihana tried her possible best to give grandfather a warm smile like she was happy and only Aiden could observe the sadness behind the smile.

Mr Norman entered into the house with a not so bright expression. He was still bothered about Tihana being his daughter.

“Welcome back Sir.” Nanny Grace greeted and Mr Norman waved at her, heading upstairs.

“Your daughter is back sir.” Nanny Grace announced loudly enough for him to hear.

Mr Norman paused on the staircase as he turned to nanny Grace.

“Blossom is back?” He asked with shock and she nodded.

He hurriedly resumed his steps to his daughter’s room as he guessed she must be there.

Nanny Grace smiled at this before going back to what she was doing.

Mr Norman opened the door and right there on the bed was his daughter, Blossom.

Blossom also turned when she noticed a presence in her room and she happily jumped on her father who in turn accepted her in joy as he twirled her around.

“I missed you dad.” Blossom whined still holding tight to her father.

“I missed you too my princess.” Mr Norman said in a wide smile and released her.

“Who released you?” He asked the one question on his mind.

“I also don’t know dad, I was in the cell when a warden came to free me.” She replied and her father sighed.

“I’m really glad to see you again in my arms and I want you to promise me one thing, that you won’t repeat this ever again.” Her father said cupping her cheeks.

“I also regret what I’ve done dad, and I promise I won’t do it again.” Blossom replied with face down and her dad smiled before hugging her again.

“Have you had your bath?” He asked after disengaging.

“Before you had even told me.” Blossom replied.

“I trust you.” Her father smiled.

“Dad, are you okay?” Blossom asked noticing the weary look behind her father’s smile.

“Yes, I’m fine, why do you ask?” Mr Norman answered immediately.

“You look so stressed out to me right now, what is the matter?” Blossom asked back.

“Or have you been worried about me?” She asked again with her eyebrows raised.

“Yes, you know getting you out of that cell became my top priority and I think it took a great toll on me physically too.” Mr Norman replied immediately.

“Thank you dad.” She said and embraced her father.

“You’re welcome my princess.”

“Okay, let me go and freshen up, ask the cook to prepare us something, I’ll come down to join you soon.” Her father said as he disengaged and she nodded.

He smiled at her again before leaving.

Blossom sighed and also left her room to the kitchen to do as her father instructed.

“Are you sure you can wait here for him, ma’am?” The maid said as she served Blossom a box of juice in a tray with a glass cup in it.

“How many times do I have to repeat myself? I said I will wait here for him till whenever he arrives.” She said with a glare that made the maid step back a bit.

“I’m sorry ma’am.” The maid apologized immediately with a bow.

Blossom didn’t reply, instead she just rolled her eyes as she went back to scrolling on her phone.

The honk of a car was heard from the outside, making Blossom look out the window. She guessed he must have been back and just like she guessed, he came in seconds later.

She furrowed her brows when she saw a bandage on his body. She stood up and walked briskly to him.

“Hey! What happened to you?” She asked with worried look on.

“I scrimmaged with a fucking bastard.” Trenton replied looking surprised to see her.

Blossom touched the bandaged spot and he groaned slightly.

“Who did you fight with?” She asked yet again as she folded her hands underneath her boobs.

“I will explain that later but first, how did you get out?” Trenton asked trying to ease his curiosity.

“Well, it seems as if Aiden reconsidered.” Blossom replied with a shrug and Trenton’s mind flashed back to when he threatened him at his office.

“So, the bastard did as I told him.” He mumbled with an almost invisible smirk.

“What is it?” Blossom asked.

“Huh?” Trenton raised a brow.

“You just muttered something.” She explained.

“Oh! It’s nothing.” Trenton shrugged.

“Are you sure?” She asked again and he nodded.

“Okay then, let’s take you to your room.” She said and gently placed his hand on her shoulder before they proceeded upstairs.
