THE NEXT MORNING*

Tiana woke up feeling energetic. She smiled when she remembered how Aiden took care of her yesterday, even if she was in pain, she still saw everything.

Who would have thought that the arrogant and grumpy Aiden Turner was also nice? No one at all.

Though, she was still feeling the pains but it wasn’t as strong as yesterday’s.

she shrugged off the thoughts as she undressed herself and went into the restroom.

She came out minutes later and picked out a blue shirt and a black skirt. She wore her clothes and in less than twenty minutes, she was ready.

She took her bag and left the room.

TEN MINUTES LATER*

Tihana walked into her office. This was her new office since her sudden promotion to the head of department.

She sat down and tossed her bag one side. She restarted the computer in front of her after stretching her body.

She resumed work and worked on the files on her desk.

The telephone rang and she picked it up.

“Come to my office with the new reports.” The call disconnected immediately. She rolled her eyes before dropping the telephone.

How did he know she has arrived?

Tihana scoffed and took up the files he asked her to bring. She left to his office which was not far from hers.

“Good morning sir.” She said trying to act professional. Aiden didn’t reply, so she just dropped the file.

She made to leave but stopped again after remembering the previous day.

“Thank you.” This was when Aiden looked at her.

“For?” Aiden raised his brows in a mischievous smile. Tihana guts told her he just wanted her to say it out. She took a deep breath.

“For what you did yesterday.”

“I see. I actually thought you wouldn’t say it.” Aiden rested back on his chair, rubbing his beards.

“But I just did, so can I go back to my office?”

“No.” Aiden uttered.

“Since, you’re now the head of department, you’ll start doing your job.”

“I don’t get, I already started my job way before now.”

“You think?”

“I don’t only think, I know so.” Tihana nodded.

“You seem to amaze me but no worries, I’m still your boss and I can order you around here in the office.”

Aiden threw some files to her.

“Work on those.”

“Alright.” Tihana uttered without complaint and turned to go back to her office.

“Come back.” Aiden said.

She groaned within herself and went back to him.

“You’ll do it here in my office, now get to work.” Aiden grinned.

“What if I need some tools, where would I get it?” Tihana doesn’t want to stay here with him in the office.

“And what are these tools you’ll be needing?” Aiden asked as he rubbed his beards.

“Like a laptop, a pen.” Tihana listed out and Aiden laughed.

“Is that some excuse to go back to your office?” Aiden asked in a smirk. He understood what she was trying to do.

“Not at all, you and I know I might need them.” Tihana defended.

“I don’t know.” Aiden shrugged.

“Anyways, I have all that you mentioned here in my office, if you need any of them, check the shelf.” He said again, pointing to the shelf.

“So get to work.” Tihana huffed and sat down.

Aiden smiled and went back to his laptop, leaving Tihana to wallow in her anger.

Aiden was so loving the scene in front of him.

“Do you really mean it?” Mr Norman asked in a smile.

“I will definitely come, trust me.”

“Alright bye.” Mr Norman hung up still smiling.

“Where are you off to now?” Blossom asked. She was sitting in the living room with her father.

“I’m not going anywhere.” Mr Norman replied as he scrolled on his phone.

“Are you now saying I’m deaf?” Blossom asked with a stern face.

“No darling, I didn’t say that.”

“Then what are you trying to say? Cause I clearly heard what you told your business associate.”

“This is a misunderstanding princess, I wasn’t referring to now. I only said I would come to the business party he is hosting.” Mr Norman explained to his daughter.

Blossom suddenly became interested as she shifted closer to her dad.

“A business party?” She repeated.

“Does the party have a limit?” Blossom asked and her father found the question strange.

“I don’t think so. With what I know, all the business tycoons in America are invited.” Mr Norman shrugged.

“Really?!” Blossom’s face lit up.

“Yes. Why are you asking by the way?”

“Nothing.” Blossom said hastily.

If all the business tycoons are invited to the party then that means Aiden would be there but he might be there with his wife.

She scoffed as she rested back on the couch with a frown. She suddenly went closer to her father again.

“Dad, can I come with you?” She pouted.

“Sure.”

Blossom rested back on the couch in a mischievous smile. An idea just popped into her head.

A knock on the door made Trenton raise his head up from his laptop.

“Who is there?”

“It’s the secretary sir.”

“Come in.” He grumbled and continued typing.

The secretary bowed as she dropped the files on Trenton’s desk.

“You have a card sir.” The secretary said and gave the car she was holding to her boss.

“You can leave.” The secretary turned and left.

Trenton rested back on his chair as he opened the card. It was an invitation card to a business party.

He shook his head and continued his work.

Diana entered her office and sat down with a great thud. She was just returning from a meeting in the conference room.

She exhaled deeply, closing her eyes in the process. Tiredness was an understatement for what she felt right now.

Her phone rang and she brought it to see who it was.

“Hello dad!”

“Yes, I’m fine and you?”

“Yeah, I know and I’m really sorry. It’s just that I’ve been very busy lately but don’t worry, I’ll come see you one of the days.”

“Really? Meet at a party?”

“Alright, if you say so. I will attend the party.”

“Dad?” She whined like a child.

“I’ll definitely bring my boyfriend along with me.” She smiled before disconnecting the call.

She checked the time and it was already closing hours.

She picked up her bag and left the office after locking the door.
