THE NEXT DAY

Tihana entered her office and tossed her bag on the desk.

She sat on her chair and seeing a heap of files to work on, she rolled her eyes.

They didn’t even help her out with any of the files, they were waiting for her to resume office.

She took a deep breath and made to start work but the entrance of someone stopped her.

“Good morning Mrs Linda.” She stood and greeted in a smile.

“Good morning Tihana or should I say Mrs Turner.” Mrs Linda walked to her also in a smile.

“Congratulations on your new wedded life. I couldn’t congratulate you properly on your wedding day.”

“It’s alright ma, I understand.”

“You must have seen the files on your desk, honestly they weren’t my intention. please pardon me for the bunch of files on your table, the boss specifically asked me not to help you with any of your duties here in the office.”

No wonder the files were much on her table, so it was all Aiden’s doing.

“There was nothing you could do, so I understand.”

“But can I ask something?”

“Yes, go on.” Tihana reluctantly said.

She was having a weird feeling about the question Mrs Linda was about to ask.

“I don’t have any bad intentions saying this but I think the boss bears a grudge against you, like there is something he has against you.”

“You are like a daughter to me and it is like my duty to tell if something doesn’t feel right.” Mrs Linda said again when Tihana didn’t reply.

“Thank you for the concern ma, I really appreciate but I don’t think it is what you are thinking ma.” Tihana said even if she knew what Mrs Linda said was the truth.

She couldn’t afford to tell Mrs Linda the truth as per one of the things in the contract.

If she tells Mrs Linda anything then she might understand everything which might complicate things for her.

It was best to keep it to herself.

“Are you sure?”

“Very sure ma.” Tihana replied still in that smile she’s been wearing since Mrs Linda came into her office.

“Alright, if you say so. Just make sure to always be in his good books.” Tihana nodded.

Mrs Linda sighed before leaving the office. Tihana sat down and rested back on her chair for a few seconds.

The door opened again and Wayne came in.

“The boss wants you to submit the blueprint file in his office now.” Wayne said in a little bow and left, not giving Tihana the chance to say anything.

Tihana shook her head as as she went to get the file. Thank goodness she has worked on it before today.

She left to Aiden’s office. It looked like he hasn’t arrived yet.

She shrugged and dropped the file on his table. It was better he hasn’t arrived yet.

She left his office immediately back to her own office.

AT THE SECRETARY DESK*

“Madam, please I’m not permitted to tell you anything.” The secretary pleaded with Blossom for upteneth time.

“And I said I won’t leave here if you don’t tell me what I need to know.”

“I said I can’t tell you that where my boss travelled to.”

“What is happening here?” Aiden said behind them.

Blossom turned to him and was taken aback. She thought he was out of the country, so how come he was standing in front of her?

“Did anyone not hear what I said? I asked what is happening here?” He repeated as he stared daggers at Blossom.

“Sir, she wants to know where you were but I didn’t tell her.”

Blossom glared at the secretary as she spoke.

“Yes, I want to know where you went to with that bitch of a wife you have.”

“I asked her not to tell you.”

“Really?” Blossom asked in disbelief.

“Yes and that is because I didn’t want your lousy self near me at all.”

Blossom could only breathe out heavily in anger.

“What were you expecting? To follow me? In case you don’t remember, I have a lovely who would willingly follow me anywhere I go.” Aiden smirked at her and it only increased her anger the more.

“Now, if you wouldn’t mind, I was just arriving and I have quite a lot of work to do in my office, I mean after a beautiful trip with my lovely wife.” Aiden said those words to infuriate Blossom and he got her where he wanted her.

Looking at Blossom right now, her looks could kill.

“If you would excuse me, I’m off to my office. You can leave when you wish to but remember not to disrupt anyone’s peace here.” Aiden walked out of her presence with Wayne who had joined him when the little drama with Blossom was going on.

“Call for a meeting, I want to speak with all the staffs.”

“About what?” Wayne inquired.

“I want to announce Tihana as the new head of the research and development department.”

Not like there was a bad motive behind it, he was only surprised.

“What did you say?” Wayne said again coming closer to Aiden who has also paused his steps.

“I want to make Tihana the new head of her department.”

“Look, grandfather asked that I do this. According to him, the wife of the owner of the company can’t be under someone apart from me.” Aiden clarified trying to clear the surprised look on Wayne’s face.

Wayne nodded in understanding. That was a smart move from grandfather.

“Grandfather is right, you should really make her the head, not only because she is your wife, but also she is dilligent with her work.” Wayne commented and Aiden scoffed.

“Just call for the meeting.” Aiden waved off as he walked into the elevator and it closed back.

Wayne shook his head in a small smile before leaving to do what he was asked.
