The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 2 Then make me a grandchild?

“Tihana, are you okay? Geez, why didn’t you grab an umbrella before coming back?” Diana asked as she rushes to her.

She wasn’t expecting Tihana to be back home anytime soon, but when she heard the knock on the door, she got worried because she wasn’t expecting anyone and Tihana already said she won’t be back till tomorrow.

Actually, Tihana’s Ex-father is a truck driver and is hardly home. Tihana being thrown out to the street by her stepmother, the only place she call her second home is Diana’s apartment.

Early, she had gotten a call from her stepmother that her father is coming back. Had she know this will happen, she won’t have bother even going there.

Tihana didn’t reply her as she instead circle her hand around Diana’s waist, hugging her.

That was when Diana heard her whimper and realizes she had been crying. She didn’t try to push her away despite the fact she was wet.

Diana instead hugged her back and console her even without knowing what went wrong. But she knows for sure that whatever that had happened to Tihana, must be related to her stepmother.

“Come sit over here Tia, I’ll get you a cloth to change” like a baby, Tihana obeyed and went to sit on the mat.

Diana walks into her room and pick out some of her wears. She had planned to go shopping with Tihana probably tomorrow or next so she can pick out new wears for her.

She walks back to the sitting room and gave the cloth to Tihana.

“Change into them while I go in to boil some hot water. I can’t take care of you if you catch cold and you know how bad that will be.”

Tihana didn’t respond as she couldn’t even bring herself to say anything. She’s still short of words as she tries to make herself believe she was dreaming.

Diana sighed and walk into the kitchen, she plugged the electric kettle and pour enough water in it , then waits for it to boil..

She approaches Tihana after and handed the cup of hot water to her.

“What happened to you sweetheart?” Diana asked worriedly after Tihana had taken the cup from her.

Tihana didn’t respond immediately and Diana waited patiently. Giving her enough time till she’s ready to talk.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“He’s not my father” Tihana muttered slowly.

The words had been too hard to come out of her mouth but she finally said it. Diana didn’t understand what she meant immediately and so she raised her eyebrows in confusion.

“Who? What are you talking about..?”

“My father… Diana, he’s not my father.” Tihana said again , this time she spoke a little louder but her voice was cracking.

“You should get some sleep Tihana. Just go to bed and we will discuss about this tomorrow, you look a total mess and I can’t pick out a word from what you’re muttering.” Diana told her.

She helped Tihana sat up from the mat and then she lead her to her bedroom where Tia lay down silently like a baby being pet to sleep.

Diana turn to leave the room but she noticed Tihana was holding her arm. She raised her eyes at her.

“Don’t go anywhere Diana, don’t leave me too.” Tihana muttered as tears rush down her cheeks.

Diana look at her friend for a while and then smile slowly as she dragged out a chair and sat on it. She patted Tihana’s hair and held her hand tight.

“I’m right here, by your side.”

The chauffer drives the car slowly out of the airport. Wayne turn to Aiden and remove one of the eye phone he have on.

“You should call your mother that you’re back.”

Aiden eyed him but didn’t say a word. “What’s my afternoon schedule?”

Wayne looks away from him and bring out his iPad. He understands Aiden lives a busy life and don’t always have time, but he’s the only son and he should at least always include his mother in his affairs.

“Uhm Boss? You’ll be having lunch with your Grandfather”

Aiden’s eyes sparkles as he leans up from the chair, he hit his palm on the chair and growl.

“Seriously! Why does it have to be so?” Aiden shouts at no one in particular.

Wayne didn’t say another word as he just power off the iPad. Trowing a fist and nagging can’t get him out of the fact that he’ll be seeing his grandfather.

Ofcourse he’s always the least person Aiden wants to see. Wayne looks at him again and chuckle.

He enjoys seeing the look on his face whenever he gets a news that he’ll be meeting with his grandfather.

“What time will it be from now?”

Wayne look at his wrist watch and back at Aiden who is already looking tired.

“In forty-five minutes time” Wayne tells him and again, Aiden growls.

“Drive to my office” Wayne said to the chauffer who nods and change the GPS map.

Wayne smile and lean back on the car. Loving the look on Aiden’s face.

Aiden Turner walks into his office as he removes his suit flying it to wherever it’d be able to land.

He adjusted his tie and sat down, crossing his legs together.

“You’re not seriously not going?” Wayne asks his Boss who was backing him and didn’t respond for a while.

“Do I really need to go? I just arrived from a one week business trip! I’m tired and deserve to rest as well look into this two weeks records.” Aiden tells him and Wayne nods.

“But you know Grandfather will be furious if you don’t go? At least give him a phone call.” Wayne advised.

“A phone call? He’s going to nag too, I’ll just send him a message. Yes, a text message”

Aiden dips his hand into her pocket and brings out his cell phone. Clicking on his grandfather’s contact, Aiden attempts to send him a message but he got distracted when his office door flipped open.

No one dares to come into his office without having an appointment with him. So he raised his head to look at the door.

Aiden got up at alert, and stood up almost immediately when he realizes who it was. Wayne smile a little and take a step backward.

“You know he’s coming don’t you?” Aidan whispered to Wayne eyeing him badly.

“Trust me Boss, none of this was my idea” Wayne defends himself.

“And where’s that Old Unmarried grandchild of mine?” Aiden’s grandfather yelled walking closer to them.

Aiden swallowed and forced a smile on his lips, walking forward him.

“No one told me you were coming. How are you doing Grandfather?”

The grandfather stopped walking and stare at him, he raised his walking stick to point it at his grandson.

“You miserable grandchild. Are you trying to be nice again? Oh my God! You just stayed two weeks overseas and you’re already looking older than me?”

Wayne chuckles but shuts up when he saw the look on his Boss’s face.

“Grandfather, are you doing this again?”

“What? I’m very sure Wayne told you that you’re supposed to come have lunch with me, were you planning to not show up at all?”

Aiden looks over at Wayne, begging him to help with his eyes. Wayne nods and approaches them.

“Good afternoon Grandfather, My Boss is actually preparing to come meet you. But since you’re already here, why don’t you just sit down and I will order for some drinks?”

Grandfather looks at Wayne and then at Aiden and scoff.

“Look at Wayne, young and a sweetheart! I wish he’s my grandson and I won’t have to deal with you”

Aiden didn’t reply as he watches his grandfather walk over and sat down. He adjusted his tie again and went to sit opposite him.

Wayne bows a little and walk out of the office. Now, leaving the two old men’s.

“Grandfather, I’m just 32… I’m not that old already” Aiden complained when he’s sure Wayne has left.

“You’re already older than me. Tell me, did you find a girlfriend over there? I was told there are lot of white girls abroad, don’t tell me you didn’t go out with any?.”

“Wah Grandfather, I told you I’m not interested in girls. I don’t wanna date any of them”

“Why?”

“Because!” Aiden sigh and scratch his head as his grandfather stare at him attentively.

“Because I’m busy. I have such big company to manage, I possibly won’t have time to go on a date and pet a lady everytime.”

Aiden’s grandfather sighed, shakes his head negatively and lean back on the couch.

“You have become even worst. I got married at 22 Aiden. I had your father at 25, what? I’m still able to take care of everything till date.”

“We’re not the same grandfather”

Grandfather raised his stick and made to hit Aiden who stood up immediately, running to stand at the back of the desk chair to avoid getting hit.

“I don’t care if you want a girlfriend or not. What’s your plan about getting married?”

Aiden sighed and moved away completely from his grandfather. He went to lean on the wall and bring out his phone.

Texting Wayne as fast as he could. “quick! Come save me”

He turned back to his grandfather. “No plans at all grandfather.”

“Do you want me to die before my time. Why don’t you have no plans to get married?”

“I don’t even have a girlfriend Grandfather!” Aiden tells him, pushing himself back not to yell.

“Because you don’t want to! At 32 you’re still single, why not get a hold of one of your flings and get serious with her?”

Aiden sighed and told him he can’t. He’s rich and busy, None of the girls out there is his standard.

And probably, all of them wants him for his money.

“You can’t? Alright Aiden. Whatever decision you take, But do me a favor?.”

Aiden eyed him. He hates his grandfather’s favour request but then, there’s no way he’s going to get away from him.

“What?”

“Since you don’t want a girlfriend and don’t want to get married. How about you make me a Grand Child?.”
