“How could you do that to my Son!” Ms Turner was yelling at grandfather who surprisedly was sitting calmly.

“Don’t be a problem now Moreen. Everything is fine.”

“When will you stop huh? You tell me! You did the same thing to your son, My husband, and made me married to him under a contract. Which eventually we ended up being stuck together because of Aiden.”

“You should be grateful to me. I gave you life, a better version of yourself. I’m only doing the best for Aiden, he’s needs a heir.”

Ms Turner sat down and stare at him blankly.

“Aiden is not yet old. I’m not against him getting married. I’m against the fact that this marriage is based on lies and no love!”

“It won’t last. She’ll leave once the baby is Borne.”

“I won’t allow that to happen. You have done enough, and I came here to tell you, to stay away from Aiden.”

“Are you threatening me , woman! Aiden is my grandson.”

“And he is my son. Stay away from him! You’ve done enough already, all you care about is the company not about the family. I feel disgusted to be standing before you.”

And just like that, Ms Turner got herself slapped on the face by grandfather. It had taken her by surprise as she held her cheek, staring at him.

“Did you just .. slapped me!?”

“Watch what you say to me. I’m only doing my best for the family! Aiden refused to get married and the company will be at stake when he eventually retired and have no heir.”

“Aiden is just 33! If not 32!.”

“He needs to get married early to be able to train his child.”

“And marrying someone he doesn’t love is the only thing you can think about ”

“Aiden is a playboy.”

“He is my son! I don’t care what your reasons are. I tell you again, stay away from him. And about the lady in question? I’ll make sure she gets the life she deserves… I won’t have her bow to your feet the same way I did. And this fake marriage? I’ll make sure it isn’t fake.”

“Your plan about her leaving after the baby? That too I’ll be against. You don’t know the pain of a mother having to leave her baby behind. ”

“She signed the contract. if she feel she couldn’t do it she could’ve said so.”

How furious she had been after getting to the bottom of all this. She entered her car but didn’t drive out immediately, She led back and breathed down the air she doesn’t know she’ve been holding in.

The next thing in her mind, was meeting whoever it is this lady was.

“Tihana never told me and won’t take my calls.” Diana said tiredly..

“Aiden was the one that informed me tho. You need to check on her and make sure she’s okay, Aiden is complaining about this new annoying behavior of her’s and I told him perhaps it’s the pregnancy.”

“Annoying behavior?” Diana scoff.

“Aiden is really something else, He got her into this mess and now he sees her behavior as annoying. Damn, how much I want to kill him with my barehands.”

“I won’t let you. I won’t let you be a murderer.” Wayne chuckles.

He have to add that last part after getting a glare from Diana.

“Whatever. I’m so worried about her right now.”

There was silence, and while Diana think of Tihana and why she haven’t called or accept her own calls. .. Wayne on the hand stares at Diana’s face.

Truth be told, he is just realizing how attached he had become to Diana. It was as if she became his newest buddy that no day passes without him having to think about her.

If not for his work and his hands being tied down with work, he’d like to spend all day of his being around her.

“I wanted to ask you something. Diana.” Wayne said.

Diana snap out of the thought and look up and Wayne. She didn’t reply and just pick up a glass of water, Wayne nervously watched her as she drinks.

“What?”

“Why are you doing this? I mean, keeping a fake boyfriend.”

“What are you talking about? I explained to you already that my father is pressuring me. That was even why Tihana ended up with that devil in the first place. Why? Why are you asking again?”

“How long do you think you can continue doing this? We can continue doing this?.”

Diana stared at him for a while.

“Is everything okay? Did My Father said anything to you that made you worried. Trust me, this deal is only between us and Tihana as long as you never told anyone else. ”

“I understand. But I think it’d better if you get yourself a real boyfriend. Not a fake boyfriend for hire. This fake dating won’t solve the case that you’re still single and lying to your father.”

“Okay that’s it! What’s your problem.! Are you tired of the deal, then let’s cancel it.”

“That’s not what I mean Diana.”

Before he can finish, Diana was already standing and carrying her hand bag.

“I thought you’re better and can understand my situation. But it seems you see me as someone who’s desperate. I’m trying to save a face here, don’t paint me black. The deal is over and I’m out of here.”

Diana walks away and Wayne have to pick up his phone and run after her. Outside the restaurant, it was getting dark already.

“Diana wait up.”

“What is it?” She stops and turn to him.

“I’m sorry if you misunderstood any of my words. I’m only trying to say that we shouldn’t keep lying about this.”

“I get it. And I just said the deal is over, I don’t want to have you around me no more. Alis, you’re just like your boss.”

“Diana please…”

“Diana.” She heard a voice behind her and she turned to look behind her. And there stood Tihana, looking as miserable as ever.

“Tihana. What’s wrong with you?”

Tihana slowly held her tummy as tears rush down her cheeks.

Diana wondered how Tihana already know she’d be here. What is she saying, anyone knows she always spend her evening here. It was mostly with Tihana until she got married and now she started doing it with Wayne which will also end tonight.

“My baby… I’m bleeding.”

“Oh My! ” Diana gasp.

Tihana fall unconsciously but Wayne was able to catch her before she hit the ground. She’d be seriously hurt if she had fallen down on the hard floor.

Wayne turn to Diana. “Get the car!”
