He frowned, not expecting her to initiate a divorce. She had drugged him last night, while she asked for a divorce in the early morning.

“What’s wrong with you?”

Grace glanced at him coldly. She seemed tiny compared to Edgar, but her firm look made her seem as intimidating as him.

“You’ve badgered me into divorcing you, haven’t you? Since you were forced to marry me by Old Mr. Fallen, and now that he has passed away, no one can stop you from marrying Nancy. Don’t you want to make her official Mrs. Fallen?”

Edgar pinched his lips and took a deep look at her.

Would she really be generous to give up the title?

Seeing her serious look and aware that she didn’t seem to be lying, he snorted and said levelly, “Don’t regret it.”

Grace sneered. She had never been so determined.

“The only thing I regret is marrying you.”

After that, she turned around and went out decisively.

Edgar stared at her fading figure for a long time.

“Grace used to be obedient and gentle when staying with me. But today, she seemed to take a tough stance.

“Did I do her an injustice?

“But if it isn’t her who drugged me, who else can it be?” Edgar thought in confusion.

The two of them went to the court that morning.

Grace, in a plain and old-fashioned shirt, and Edgar, in a high-end black suit, looked strange when standing together. They attracted the attention of many passers-by.

But Grace didn’t care about the looks. She just could not wait to end their relationship.

In less than ten minutes, this depressing marriage finally came to an end.

At the sight of the divorce certificate in her hand, Grace was in a trance for a moment.

“Behave yourself from now on.”

The cold voice rose. When Grace looked up again, the man had already disappeared. He didn’t ask her to stay, nor did he give a glance at her, as if he had never existed.

“That’s good.”

Grace laughed and shook her head helplessly.

Since he was so indifferent, they’d better be strangers when meeting again.

She came back to her senses and walked to the side of the road.

Suddenly, a limited edition black Bentley commercial vehicle halted in front of her.

The car door was rolled, and a middle-aged man with gray hair strode toward her under the escort of four bodyguards.

After realizing who it was, Grace raised her chin slightly and said with instinctive elegance, “Dad is really omnipotent. I’ve just divorced, and you come here.”

The butler, Uncle Lloyd, bowed deeply to her with a flattering smile and said, “Miss Smith, the three years agreed between you and Mr. Smith have passed.”

He paused, glancing at the divorce certificate in Grace’s hand.

He then pretended to be regretful and said, “It seems that you failed to make Edgar Fallen fall in love with you. In that case, you should fulfill your promise and return to S City to inherit the family business.’

Grace frowned and remained silent for a long time.

At the age of 15, Grace was kidnapped, lost her memory, and was raised at the orphanage in Frant City. Later, she was taken back to the Fallen family as she happened to save Old Mr. Fallen. It was not until she came of age that Old Mr. Fallen forced Edgar to marry her.

On their wedding night, something unexpected happened and Grace surprisingly regained her memory. Ridiculously, she kept thinking of Edgar at that time and refused to go back with Uncle Lloyd. Finally, she made a three-year agreement with her father.

Now recalling what had happened back then, Grace thought these three years spent pursuing a man who didn’t love her had been a waste of time.

“Mr. Smith really misses you. Miss Smith, please come back with me. Don’t be angry with

Mr. Smith. He…”

“Uncle Lloyd.”

Grace interrupted him. Her face turned stern when she thought of the past. “He has that woman by his side, and the Smith family doesn’t need me. I have something important to do in Frant City. I won’t go back.”

In the past two years, Grace had been secretly investigating who had made her lose her memory and end up in Frant City. She found the person responsible was likely in the Smith Group, but she still did not find out who it was.

The enemy remained behind the scene at present, so it was too dangerous for her to return to the Smith family.

What’s more, she was reluctant to go back and exchanged glances in speechless dismay.

Uncle Lloyd sighed and said, “Mr. Smith is right. You still blame him and refuse to go back so easily.”

Uncle Lloyd then respectfully took out a VIP black card and said, “This is the credit card for you. There are 5 billion dollars in it.”

Then, he waved his hand to the bodyguard behind him, and the bodyguard swiftly handed a brand new contract to Grace.
