The Trap
Chapter 62 The Trap
Just when Ramos was about to pull the trigger.
The sound of an explosion was coming from the front gate of his mansion.
“What is that?” He asked. He turned to his men and asked them to check the premises.
A few minutes later, one of Ramos’s men ran into the room, looking panicked.
“Sir, there are some people here who are destroying and killing all of your men outside.” one of his men said.
“Who the hell is that?” Ramos asked.
“I don’t know sir. Maybe they are the Sanchez brothers?” one of his men said.
He thought deeply that could it be true. Could it be Alfredo coming to take Raven and her father and then kill him?
He couldn’t wait to find out.
“Gather some of my things and let’s leave this place immediately.” Ramos said.
“What about the rest of the men sir?” One of his men asked.
“They have fought well and I think they should do whatever it takes to protect me.” He said.
“Let’s get out of here.”
“What about your first and second wife sir? They are still in the building?” one of his men asked.
“I walk alone. Let’s go and grab whatever supply you can and let’s get the heck outta here.”
Ramos and his men rushed to gather their belongings, and as they made their way out of the building, they heard a voice echo through the halls.
“Ramos!” the voice said. “Come out and face me!”
Ramos recognized the voice – it was Alfredo. He was coming to confront him, and there was no way to escape.
Ramos turned to his men. “You know what to do,” he said. “Protect me at all costs.”
“Come out and face me Ramos Escobar!” Alfredo said
But Ramos wasn’t ready to confront anyone. He simply took what he could take and made a run for it slipping through his secret passage way and ordering one of his men to protect him with his life while he gets enough time to escape.
He slipped through the secret passage way and made a run for his life.
As Ramos ran, he could hear the sounds of battle behind him. He knew that his men were putting up a brave fight, but he also knew that they wouldn’t be able to hold off Alfredo and his men for long. He needed to get as far away as possible, and fast.
He ran down the corridor, taking twists and turns, until he came to a dead end. He cursed under his breath – he was trapped. There was no way out.
Then, he heard footsteps approaching. He knew that it was only a matter of time before he was caught.
“There is no way out of here, Ramos.” A familiar voice spoke behind him.
He turned to see who it was and was surprised when he realized that it was Raven herself.
“Raven? You did this?” Ramos asked.
“Well, you shouldn’t underestimate people. You always thought that people were beneath you because you had money, power and influence. But I don’t see those things saving your ass right now.” Raven said.
“So it was part of a plan to make the Sanchez brother leave you behind and not negotiate with me to save you and give me the information I want.” Ramos said.
“So you fooled me, huh? You bitch played me!”
“No, Ramos. You played yourself. The moment you killed my father, that was the last straw and I am done playing with you and so it’s time that you find out who I am.” Raven said.
“Who you are?” He asked.
“Who are you?”
“Well… I will leave that for your mind to figure out, but the information and the necklace you seek. I do have them for it belongs to me and so you can never have it.” Raven said.
“What if I had killed you?” Ramos said.
“I knew you didn’t have the stomach for it and you know why? Because you saw me like a helpless girl who just wanted to protect her father and so you used that to trap me in your mansionCopyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
And that was the mistake you made, Ramos. I gave you many chances not to do what you did, but you chose to kill my father right in front of me and that’s when I knew I couldn’t hide who I am from you anymore.”
“Who are you…?” Ramos asked.
“You will find out soon enough.” Raven said.
But before, the men Raven ordered to capture Ramos were able to get him, he pressed a button and then fell into a hole and disappeared.
“Find him!” Raven ordered.
“I want him alive.”
She returned to the basement, Alfredo walked up to her.
“Where is he?” he asked.
“He escaped, but your men are searching for him as we speak.” Raven said.
“We were close to getting him and now he slipped off our fingers. How are we going to capture him now?
He is going to gather more men and then we are going to start all over again.”
“I have a plan,” Raven said, her eyes glinting. “I know where he’s going to go next, and I know how we can catch him.”
“Where?” Alfredo asked, eager for any information that could help them capture Ramos.
“He’s going to his old hideout,” Raven said. “It’s the only place he feels safe, and he’ll go there to regroup. We can set a trap for him there.”
Alfredo considered this for a moment, then nodded. “Let’s do it,” he said.
They spent the next few hours planning their trap, carefully considering every detail. They knew that Ramos was a crafty man, and they had to be careful not to underestimate him.
Finally, everything was ready. They were in position, waiting for Ramos to arrive.
And then, they saw him. He was walking towards the old hideout, unaware of the trap that was waiting for him.
“Now,” Raven whispered. “Let’s get him.”
The men sprang into action, moving quickly and quietly. They surrounded the old hideout, cutting off any escape routes.
Then, Raven stepped forward. She could see the look of surprise on Ramos’s face as he realized what was happening.
“It’s over, Ramos,” she said. “You’re finished.”
“You think so?” he said, a cold smile on his face. “You’re forgetting something.”
“And what’s that?” Raven asked, her heart racing.
“I have something you want,” he said.
“What do you possibly think I would want Ramos apart from killing you?” Raven asked.
“I… I…” Ramos didn’t know what to say since he knew he didn’t exactly have anything.
