Chapter 51 Another Option
“So you have been the one along Raven. I had a clue, but I wasn’t sure. I have always known that those boys never released you out of the goodness of their heart, but because it was all part of their plan huh?” Ramos said, his voice laced with anger.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
“I have always told you that one day, you would meet your end and it could be by me or the Sanchez brothers.” Raven said.
Ramos walked up to her and slapped her hard on the face. She fell down, but started laughing.
“Hahaha.. Are you angry?” she asked.
“What?” he asked.
“Are you angry that those boys beat you at your own game?” she said.
“The problem you have Ramos is that you underestimate others because you believe that you are smarter and stronger than them, but the truth is that you are just a fool who believes that no one can defeat him.” Raven said.
“You know nothing,” Ramos snarled. “You think you’re so clever, but you’re just a pawn in someone else’s game. And you’re too arrogant to see it.”
“If I’m a pawn, then what are you?” Raven asked. “You’re not even the player. You’re just a tool, used by someone else to carry out their plans.”
“But you think you are so smart.”
“Shut up!” Ramos yelled, his face turning red with anger. “You’re just trying to trick me, but it won’t work. I’m not a fool, and I won’t be played like a pawn.”
“Where are they?”
“Where is who?” Raven asked, playing ignorant.
“Raven, Raven, you and I know that I have my ways to persuading you to reveal what I want.” Ramos said.
“Just leave my father out of this. This is between you and me. My father has nothing to do with this.” she begs.
“Well, you see, he does, because he is the one who got you into all these mess. If he hadn’t borrowed money from me, maybe you won’t be here and you guys would have been a happy family.” Ramos said.
“You’re a monster,” Raven spat, her eyes filling with tears. “You’re trying to manipulate me, and I won’t let you. I know you’ll never hurt my father, because you’re just all talk. You’re a coward, and you’ll never actually do anything.”
“I’m a coward?” Ramos asked, his voice dangerously quiet. “Let’s see how brave you are when I bring your father here.”
“You won’t!” Raven yelled, her voice shaking. “You won’t lay a finger on him!”
Ramos smiled. “We’ll see about that.”
Raven’s heart was pounding in her chest. She had no idea what Ramos was capable of, but she knew she had to protect her father at all costs. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself.
“You’ll never touch him,” she said, trying to sound brave. “I won’t let you.”
Ramos’s smile disappeared. “Don’t make promises you can’t keep.”
“What do you want from me?” Raven asked, trying to keep her voice steady. “Just tell me what you want and I’ll give it to you.”
“Now, you are talking!” Ramos said.
“You will tell me where those Sanchez boys took Carlos family or I will kill your father by feeding him to my pet shark and you know I don’t bluff.”
“I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.” Raven said.
“You’re lying,” Ramos snarled. “You know where they are. You’re just trying to protect them.”
“I’m not!” Raven protested. “I really don’t know where they are.”
Ramos walked over to her and grabbed her by the throat. “You’d better start talking, or I swear I’ll make you regret it.”
Raven struggled to breathe, but she knew she couldn’t give in to his demands. If she told him where the Sanchez brothers were, they would be in danger. She had to find a way to get him to leave her alone.
Raven knew she had to act fast. If she didn’t come up with something, Ramos would kill her father. And she couldn’t let that happen.
“Fine,” she said, her voice shaking. “I’ll tell you what you want to know. But you have to make me a promise first.”
Ramos raised an eyebrow. “Oh, really? What kind of promise?”
“You have to promise that you’ll let my father go if I tell you what you want to know,” Raven said, trying to sound confident.
“You know I can’t do that. I can’t let your father go because I know the type of person you are Raven. You would try to do anything to destroy me, but your father is my only way to bend your will to do mine.
So look for another option, because I ain’t releasing your father.” he said.
