Chapter 54 – Prepare
LAURA
The summer is ending and the whole pack is working to get ready for the cold. I am in a few weeks I
will b e 4 months pregnant and with that have only a month left until our little Xander will join us. Liam
still works hard on the warriors and is gone from home a lot. I know he is doing this because he wants
to be ready and protect everyone.
He even called the council, and they sent 50 of the most skilled and dangerous warriors from a special
unit Valerie has also been working, putting up magic that will specifically tell us if anyone with evil
intentions is getting close. Liam and I decided to give her back the vial that contained that last blood
there was from Zara, and wasn’t used for the protection spells. We wanted to see if any more visions
would happen. So far there was nothing.
I and the twins are outside but not far away from the house. And 4 warriors are here guarding us, one
of them being my dad. The twins walk around trying to catch insects. They are laughing and I feel a
solid kick from inside my belly, I guess he is looking forward to meeting his siblings. Out of nowhere,
Zara cries out and I react by walking as fast as I can over to her. I see a small cut on her finger and
figured that she must have cut herself on a grass straw or maybe a branch. I take her finger kiss it and
let my tongue lightly heal the cut. As her mother, I can heal my children when they have not gotten their
wolf yet. I just did anticipate what would happen next.
I gasp and hold my head. Flashes of pictures run through my mind differently. And none feels like they
fit together. And then it’s gone, and I am back in the garden shocked and confused about what
happened. I look at my dad
“Call Valerie, and Liam too,” I say.
*I am here.” I hear his voice and see Liam come out of the house, only wearing shorts sweaty and dirty.
H e hurries over to us.
“What happened, I felt your confusion and shock.” He asks me, looking around and scanning the entire
area with his eyes.
I explained to him what happened and together we sit down with the twins, waiting for Valerie to arrive.
Liam stays right with us and I know he is anxious to find out what she can tell us, and before we know it
Valerie is entering the garden,
“Your highnesses, what can I help with?” she asks and I explain to her what happened.
VALERIE
When I received the call from the queen’s father I knew it had to be important. I find them all in the
garden, and when I enter I get a sense that a small portion of magic has happened here.
Your highnesses, you wished for my presence.”
“Valerio, thank you for joining us. And please call us Liam and Laura.” The king greets me and I bow
slightly
The Queen told me what happened after she had healed the little princess. I walk over to the queen
teaching on my hand,
Please take my hand.” Holding her hand I take the other finding the vial with the remains of the blood
from the inte princess, open , puiting my finger to cover the opening of the vial hipping it to the blood
touches me, and I am sucked into a vision.
*VISION*
I am in a camp made of hundreds of tents. Wolves are training, in both wolf form and as humans. The
man I saw from the first vision is walking through the camp with another man.
“Everyone seems ready.” The other man says.
“We are. Soon it will all be mine.” The first man, the Alpha says.
Then everything flashes and it feels like I am jumping in time to what the future could be.
There are blood and death everywhere. Innocent wolves, women, elders, and even children. It’s a
massacre with too many lives being taken. And all because they came as a surprise.
*VISION ENDS*
I am back to the current time, and the people I have decided to help and support. I look at the king and
queen.
“Get ready. They are coming.” I tell them.
“When?” The king asks.
“I can not say for sure. But they are on their way. So soon, very soon. The vision showed that much.
But it also showed that if we are being surprised hundreds of innocents, women, elders, and children
will die.” | tell the king. And rage fills his eyes and they glaze over for a second.
LIAM
I mindlinked Mack, and it doesn’t take long before he arrives. I look at every one.
“Mack get all women, elders, and children to the bunkers. Place ten guards at each one, inside and
outside. Laura, the kids, my mom, and Cora will be in the one under this house. I want 50 men here
around and in the house. Make sure each bunker has food and water to last for at least 5 days.” I order.
“Liam.” Laura begins.
“It is not negotiable Laura. I want you and our kids safe.” I tell her.
“But.” I stop her.
“No baby.” This is what it will be. I won’t let him get anywhere near you… I will protect you. That is my
job, asking, your mate and husband, and as a father.”
“But Liam. I don’t want to lose you. Please. You didn’t see what I did.”
“No, I didn’t. But now I know to be prepared.” I walk over to her and hold her in my arms.
“Baby, listen to me. I cannot fight this if I don’t know if you are safe. I NEED to know you are safe
Laura. I will not survive if I lose you.”I beg her and I can see it in her eyes, she gives in and nods her
head.
“Okay, I will do as you say. But you need to promise me, that you will come back to me.” She whispers.
I smile and bend down capturing her lips in s crushing kiss.
“Promise.”
Now, everything happens fast. And before I know it only me, Mack and all the nearly 1000 trained
warriors are to see, waiting
We are waiting the whole night. I have a feeling, and that tells me I won’t have to wait for long. Only

Thear a noise and close the mindlink. Just as I am about to say something a loud horrible sound fills
the night. And a shout comes running. “They are here…”
