The Killer Queen (Noella Briony)

Chapter 323

Chapter 323

Peregrine just wanted to get out of this godforsaken place as fast as he could. He had truly fallen for Larson's tricks, believing that Palmer wouldn't touch him!

Not only was Palmer off his rocker, but that girl from the Schnabel family was a lunatic too! If those two ever got hitched, Peregrine couldn't even begin to imagine the hellish life they'd endure.

Staring at the dozen or so folks perched on the wall, toting sniper rifles, it was clear to any seasoned eye that they were hardened by battle!

How could these people be at the beck and call of Ms. Schnabel, a mere slip of a girl?

Blood streamed down Peregrine's knees, yet no one dared to step forward to help.

Noella coolly said, “Ivan, give Peregrine a hand.”

“Sure thing, Boss!”

With a chuckle, Ivan grabbed Peregrine's arm, dragging him like a dead dog all the way to the hall, forcing his head down to pay respects to Kendra Fowler multiple times.

Noella glanced towards Larson and the others. “Y'all need a hand too?”

Larson's muscles were convulsing! Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

While Noella did this, Palmer stood by her side, grinning from ear to ear, his eyes brimming with pride and joy as if he were looking at his most treasured possession!

Elara was dumbfounded! “Holy moly... My sister's too cool! Did Grandma Harriet teach her this?”

Helen gave her a glance, her eyelids slightly raised. “Probably, but Harriet wasn't nearly as bold as Noella in her youth. This girl is more like your grandad, bold and brash, but I like it!”

Seeing Noella's actions, Helen felt like she was glimpsing the woman who once roamed the borderlands. Noella also carried a lot of young Marcel's fearless spirit.

Sexton felt a wave of nostalgia. “Noella reminds me a bit of Xavier.”

Peregrine's head was bloody, constantly hitting the ground, feeling like he was on the verge of a concussion!

Facing Noella's gaze, Larson and the others were petrified, their movements exceptionally obedient as they knelt, their actions swift and efficient.

Larson was filled with regret. He thought he came here to cause a scene, but the only scene to see here was Peregrine getting his head smashed against the floor.

Peregrine had already passed out, eyes rolling back as he frothed at the mouth, unconscious!

The roar of the Mastiffs echoed not far behind, Larson's actions more agile than when he paid respects at his own father's grave!

"Kendra, we wronged you back then, but let's be clear, we weren't the masterminds!"

Back then, some members of the Pollack family were momentarily blinded by folly. They thought harming Kendra would doom Emeric Pollack, and indeed, Emeric renounced his claim. However, they did not expect Palmer to turn out to be a hundred times more formidable than Emeric! None of Emeric’s sons were ones these distant relatives could afford to provoke!

Palmer took Noella's hand and walked inside the hall, finding a stool and carefully wiping the dust off before letting Noella sit.

“Wait for me here.”

“Okay.”

After settling Noella, Palmer approached Larson.

“Dear nephew, this is all a misunderstanding…” Larson wanted to argue his case, but the next second, his face was met with a solid punch. The taste of blood filled his mouth, and touching his face, he realized several teeth had come loose!

Palmer's gaze was profound, but his lips curled into an extremely cold smile.

“A misunderstanding? Uncle Larson, it was right here, in front of me, that you burned my mother alive! Are you saying it wasn’t you who set the fire? And it wasn’t you who lured away all the Pollacks, leaving my mother alone at home? Who else but Uncle Peregrine orchestrated the downfall of her family, causing a series of car accidents? A misunderstanding, or the Reaper's mistake?”

Larson swallowed his words.

How had Palmer found out about all these things?

Palmer snorted coldly. He looked down at Larson with an imposing presence, like a hawk in the night ready to strike its prey at their weakest moment!

Palmer's revenge wasn't absent; it had always been waiting for the right moment!

“Are you suggesting that someone else orchestrated the deaths of my mother and Uncle Jacob’s wife? Regardless, you go wait in hell first. Someone will join you soon enough. After all, we can’t have my mother wandering the netherworld alone, can we?”

Larson was soaked in cold sweat! “Palmer, listen to me! You can’t do this! We’re family, for better or for worse!”

Palmer looked at his elder brothers as they entered the hall.

Despite appearing distant for years, hardly interacting on the surface, in secret, each of the brothers had been strategizing and plotting. They had waited many years for this day to come!

Kingsley, expressionless, said, “Clean this up quickly. Mom doesn’t like them; it’s disgusting to look at.”

Quinlan surveyed the group of middle-aged men kneeling in the hall.

“Neatly arranged, all fools. Together, their ambition and greed are sky-high, but their brains are pitifully small.”

Had it not been for their greed, they wouldn’t have been manipulated into harming Kendra!

Larson had even attempted to repeat his scheme against Noella, but those he sent turned to ashes! The only thing Larson received was a bill from the funeral parlor.

Larson had thought the Schnabels were looking out for Noella, only to discover she didn't need anyone's protection at all!

After witnessing their respectful bows, Palmer rubbed his wrists. "Annie, arrange a vacation for them. The uncles have indeed worked hard over the years. Uncle Larson, especially, has been busting his back for the Pollack Group, practically going broke. I feel bad; let's just send him on a vacation."

Annie bowed. "Yes, the helicopter is ready. From now on, you'll be spending the rest of your days at Lockhart Prison."

Lockhart Prison!

Palmer was actually sending them to that hellhole!

"Don't worry, I'll make sure you all stay alive. Death would be too easy for you. As a law-abiding citizen, I prefer sticking to the traditional ways of solving problems," Palmer said coldly.

Laws? What laws could possibly exist in Lockhart Prison! In that place, even those with the strongest wills couldn't survive, enduring inhuman torture daily!

Noella yawned, waving her hand. "Monk, your prayers are really hard on the ears."

Horatio scratched his bald head. "It's their stench that’s getting to me. Let's get them out of here quickly!"

"Ivan, did you hear that? Lend a hand, and drop something off at Lockhart Prison on your way."

"Got it!"

The members of Polaris Star jumped down from the wall, each carrying a member of the Pollack family's distant relatives.

These pampered folks stood no chance against the well-trained members of Polaris Star. Quickly, they were hoisted onto the helicopter, which soon vanished over the Pollack ancestral home.

What awaited them was Xavier's deadly game!

The Pollack brothers stood quietly in front of the memorial hall, gazing at the photo above.

Emeric walked over to Noella, squatting down to meet her eye with sincerity. He could tell the little girl had put in a lot of effort today.

"Thanks, kiddo."

"No thanks necessary, I wasn't exactly helping you on purpose."

Emeric raised an eyebrow, noticing Noella's gaze drifting towards Palmer.

"I did this, all for Palmer!"
