The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 508

Chapter 508

Derek ignored that.

After all, there was a huge difference in strength between men and women.

Meredith felt helpless.

In particular, when she heard Easton's footsteps which were getting closer and closer, her eyes slowly

turned red.

Derek still couldn't bear to push her too hard, so he let go.

Meredith immediately took a step back, but accidentally bumped into the stove.

The scorching temperature burned her finger, and it hurt so much.

"Are you okay?"

Derek suddenly realized that he should not have done such a thing on impulse here.

Hurriedly, he grabbed Meredith's hand to flush it with some cold water.

But Meredith yanked her hand out. Feeling so painful, but she just bore it.

"Is this what you want? Get out!"

Derek suddenly did not know what to say.

Meredith meant something else by saying that instead.

Perhaps, she also thought of a lot of things in the past.

Derek fell into deep thought.

Seeing that Derek had no reaction, Meredith did not want to pay any more attention to him. She

immediately turned off the power.

Easton, however, went straight into the kitchen.

"Mom, what are you doing? Why are you ignoring me?"

"Easton, your mother accidentally burned her hand. Go out and wait for a while."

Derek came back to his senses, being afraid that Easton would cause more trouble, so he quickly

explained.

"What? Did you burn your hand?"

When Easton heard this, he hurriedly looked forward and saw several blisters on Meredith's fair

fingers. His heart ached so much that he pouted and blew on her.

"Does it hurt badly?"

Meredith was not that angry when hearing that.

"It's okay. I'll just flush it with cold water and apply some ointment later."

Easton nodded and stood aside, feeling a little uneasy as he watched Meredith flush it.

"Is it because I kept pushing, I'm sorry..."

Meredith looked at Easton who was remorseful, "Of course not, just..."

It was only someone who did something wrong that caused her to be scalded.

But Meredith did not say it.

She did not want to Easton felt that his parents were blaming each other.

"I burned myself accidentally."

Meredith took out her hand. After all, it was already very cold, and the tap water was bone-chilling. The

cold feeling made her feel uncomfortable.

"Why don't we go to the hospital..."

Easton tilted his head and thought that they should go to the hospital.

Meredith suddenly was amused because there is no need going to the hospital.

The doctor would say that it was nothing.

It was too much of a fuss.

"I'll just apply it later. Don't worry, okay?"

Easton saw that Meredith really did not want to go to the hospital, remembering that when he was sick,

he also hated seeing the doctor because he needed an injection and had to take very bitter medicine.

It seems that everyone hated going to the hospital.

"All right then."

Easton nodded. "I'll go find the medicine box. Mom, wait."

With that, Easton ran away.

"Ah, this child..." Meredith shook her head and knew that Easton could not find the medical kit.

She was afraid he was going to mess up everything in the house.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

"I'll look for it."

Derek was standing here, completely ignored by them. He knew that Meredith was angry with him now,

so he did not want to stand here awkwardly and take the initiative to leave.

Seeing him leave, Meredith heaved a sigh of relief.

Then, she looked at the dumplings in the pot and was a little annoyed.

It had been cooking for too long, and now it was rotted.

So it would be better to take Easton out to eat something today.

...

Derek walked out and, as expected, saw Easton rummaging around.

Easton did not know where the medicine box was, but there were always servants following him to

clean it up, so he just kept rummaging around.

"Easton, don't rummage around. You'll have to clean it up."

Easton was not very happy. "Then we have to find the medicine box first."

Derek ignored him and found the medicine box in the cabinet.

After all, when the house was renovated, he had personally come to see it, so he knew exactly where

the medicine box was.

"Wow, no wonder I can't find it. It's so high."

Easton mumbled. He was only a little tall now. How could he find such a high place?

Was dad playing with him on purpose?

"That's why I told you not to rummage around."

Derek handed the medicine box to Easton. It was not heavy, so Easton took it away happily.

Just as he was about to leave, he thought of something. "Dad, did you make mom angry?"

Just now, he noticed that the atmosphere was strange, but he did not ask because he found that

Meredith was injured.

"No."

Naturally, Derek would not admit it.

"Hee hee, you don't want to admit it. Do you want me to help you?"

Easton liked to laugh at Derek at times like this.

It was only then that he could laugh at his father.

"Do you... Think it's relaxing not to go to school today?"

Derek just refuted.

"Humph, then I'll go out with mother to see uncle Parker."

Hearing this, Derek frowned.

He slapped Easton hard on the butt. "Saying that again? Do you want to be taught a lesson?"

Easton replied fast, "Oh, I was just kidding."

But Derek still wanted to know what Easton and Meredith had just said.

"Then tell me the truth. What did your mother say to you?"

"Well..."

Easton thought for a moment. "Nothing. She just said that uncle Parker was a good friend of hers. He

helped her a lot in the past and saved my life. She told me not to argue with him and to be polite to

him."

Hearing this, Derek felt not good.

He was happy that Meredith only said Parker was a friend.

But he was also unhappy that Meredith still remembered what happened.
