The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 506

Chapter 506

Meredith was startled by Parker's sudden action and she subconsciously wanted to push him away.

But before she could do anything, Parker had already let her go.

"I'm sorry. I just can't help it. I've been abroad for a long time all these years. Maybe I'm also used to

their manners."

After hearing He Parker's words, Meredith didn't blame him.

After all, he only gave her a quick hug. And it wasn't so strange that Parker did so.

"Well... It's okay..."

Meredith said. But she still felt a little flustered. Just as she was about to leave, Derek had already

walked over with Easton.

Just now, they were on the other side of the road, and they couldn't stop it even when they saw Parker

suddenly hugging Meredith.

"What are you doing?"

Derek pulled Meredith behind him and looked vigilant.

Others might not know what exactly was Parker up to, but how could Derek not know?

This man was dangerous.

"Just a hug between friends."

When Parker saw Derek's angry face, he smiled nonchalantly and shrugged.

The more he showed like this, the angrier Derek became.

"Friends? Don't think I don't know what you are up to."

Derek glared at Parker face to face. He didn't show any politeness at all.

"Forget it. Parker only greeted me with foreign etiquette. There's no need to make such a fuss."

Meredith sensed the strong conflict arising from the two men, she then immediately persuaded.

"Parker, you can go back first." Feeling worried about what might happen if the two men continued to

glare at each other, Meredith quickly asked Parker to leave first.

Although Parker didn't want to leave Meredith and Derek together, he knew that this kind of thing

couldn't be rushed, so he didn't argue anymore.

But before he left, he saw Easton standing next to Derek. He then walked over and looked at the child.

The child looked more like Meredith than Derek. He smiled and pinched Easton's face, "You must be

Easton. I'll get to know you properly when I have the chance to see you again."

Easton had just been caught off guard and was pinched by a stranger. He felt bad and glared at the

man in front of him like a cat with its hair blown up, "Who are you? I don't want to see you."

"Easton, don't be so rude. This is uncle Parker, one of mom's best friends."

When Meredith heard this, he couldn't help feeling embarrassed and reprimanded Easton.

After all, Parker owned part of the credit for Easton's healthy growing up. No matter what, she wouldn't

allow this little guy to speak ill of Parker.

"..." Easton suddenly felt aggrieved when he heard Meredith, who had always indulged him.

In the past, Meredith never spoke to himself so fiercely.

Could it be that mom valued this man more than she valued me?

No matter how precocious Easton usually was, he was still a child after all. Feeling aggrieved, he ran

away directly.

Seeing this, Meredith had no choice but to look at Parker with guilt. Meredith then quickly chased after

Easton.

Seeing Easton running away and Meredith was chasing after him, Derek was not in a hurry. Derek then

looked at Parker coldly, "After coming back, what are you up to?"

"Shouldn't you know best about what I want to do?"

Parker grinned.

But when Derek looked at this, all he wanted to do was to punch him.

"Don't you dare hurt her."

When Parker heard this, he actually laughed.

He walked closer to Derek and slowly said, "Who hurt her? Do you want me to help you remember the

past little by little?"

Derek suddenly could not speak out what he wanted to say.

Parker knew Derek did not know what to say, then patted Derek on the shoulder tenderly, "For

Meredith's future happiness, I think you should stay away from her. She'll be relatively safer."

With that said, Parker had no intention of pestering him anymore. Parker then got into the car and

drove away.

Watching the speeding car driving away, Derek punched the telephone pole beside him.

This Parker...

...

Meredith chased after Easton for a while and held him.

After all, Easton was still a five-year-old child. And even he often exercised, he could not run fast with

his short legs.

"Easton, stop it."

Meredith held Easton in her arms, who was still struggling.

"I'm not messing around. You care more about that uncle anyway. Why are you still looking for me?"

The tone of what Easton had said sounded quite uncomfortable.

Meredith did know she should cry or laugh.

"Easton, can you stop talking nonsense? When did mom care more about uncle Parker? uncle Parker

helped me a lot when you were born. Without him, you might not have been born safely. Shouldn't I ask

you to be polite to him?"

Originally, Easton was still very dissatisfied. Hearing Meredith's explanation, he gradually calmed down.

"What happened then?"

Easton was brought up by the Xaviers from a young age and naturally knew nothing about what Violet

had done back then.

He had no idea either.

"I can't explain those things for a while, but what you have to understand is that uncle Parker is not a

bad person or an enemy of yours. He is a very good person. Without him, there will be no mother now.

So, please treat him better, okay?"

Meredith thought about it for a while and didn't manage to say what Violet had done.

She did want to implicate her child with the grudges harboured by the last generation. Besides, Violet

was the grandmother of the child.

"Then... Okay."

Seeing that Meredith looked very serious, Easton stopped making a fuss. He nodded sensibly. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

Meredith then smiled, kissed Easton on his face, and showed him the packaging box in her hand.

"Look, I specifically bought your favorite dessert. Do you still think mom doesn't care about you?"

Easton was just acting angrily as a child. Seeing that Meredith had really bought his favorite food, his

anger disappeared a lot, "I know. I'm sorry, mom. I didn't mean to contradict you."

Although Easton was young, he still knew that he should admit it when he was wrong.

Meredith naturally wouldn't blame him for anything. She grabbed Easton's hand and said, "Okay, mom

won't blame you. Let's go back now and heat up the food. You have not eaten anything since waking

up, right?"

Easton was reminded that he hadn't eaten lunch since noon, and his stomach started to growl at the

right time. He nodded sheepishly.

"Then let's hurry back."
