The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 497

Chapter 497

Since it was a Caesarean, Andy couldn't be the only one there. There must be nurses helping.

"Well, I can't remember it."

Wesley shook his head. No matter how hard he tried to recall it, he couldn't remember all the details of

what had happened more than 20 years ago.

"..." Meredith bit her lower lip tightly and had a headache.

Derek frowned, "I have a way to make him remember everything."

Both of them looked at him incredulously when they heard this.

"What do you have in mind?"

Wesley had an ominous feeling.

"Hypnotize him."

Derek replied calmly. Hypnosis was a way to bring out the full potential of the brain. When being

hypnotized, people could often remember things they didn't think they knew.

Brain didn't place everything on the surface, and people knew many things subconsciously.

"What? I don't agree."

When Wesley heard the hypnosis, he thought of the surreal scenes he had seen on TV.

He thought that if the hypnosis failed, he might become a lunatic or a fool. In the end, he didn't get

anything and sacrificed himself.

When Derek heard this, he sneered, "It doesn't matter whether you agree or not. Do you think I just

paid Ava's medical bill out of sympathy?"

Derek had always been merciless towards people he hated.

Wesley was even angrier when he heard this, "I just don't agree. What can you do to me?"

Seeing his attitude, Derek's expression became even more indifferent, "It doesn't matter. I'll send Ava

to rehab first, and then let your little shop be bought. I have plenty of ways to deal with you..."

Hearing this, Wesley was depressed like a deflated ball. He had an ambitious attempt to deal with

Derek without a sense of his pitiable limitation, so he was bound to fail.

Seeing that he had calmed down, Derek contacted the hypnotist.

Soon, the man arrived.

After the hypnotist arrived, he gave Wesley a simple mental hint, and then he shook his head, "I'm

sorry, this gentleman is too resistant to my hypnosis. With my ability, I can't break through his

psychological defenses."

"How could this be..."

Meredith was full of hope, but when she heard this, she became spiritless.

"But there are people who can hypnotize him. Mr. Dennis, a great hypnotist, may be able to do it."

Meredith frowned when she heard the hypnotist's words.

Dennis...

The name sounded familiar to her.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

It was just that she couldn't remember anything for the time being.

"I see. Thank you."

Meredith said nothing more, and Derek immediately sent someone to find Dennis.

Seeing this, Wesley said, "Since you can't hypnotize me, let me go back first."

"No, I'll arrange a place for you to stay until I get what I want. Before that, you can't leave."

After that, Derek asked someone to take Wesley away.

Of course, Derek didn't treat Wesley badly on purpose. He just asked people to keep an eye on Wesley

and not let him have a chance to escape.

"I'll get someone to look for Dennis."

Derek glanced at Meredith and patted her on the shoulder, signaling her not to worry.

Meredith nodded. Now, it was no use for her to worry. She could only wait quietly for the result.

Derek's men soon found Dennis's residence. They heard that he was eccentric, so they specially

prepared a handsome reward for him.

Dennis was wiping the photo in his studio. He looked at the woman in the photo with a very gentle

expression, and he was careful not to damage the photo.

He frowned when he heard that someone was looking for him.

"They're from the Xavier Group."

"Xavier Group? Is it Derek's company?"

Dennis was no longer calm. His hand trembled and he almost dropped the photo frame on the ground

and broke it.

The car accident a few years ago came to his mind.

Back then, he was entrusted by Parker to take Meredith away, but unexpectedly, they were involved in

a serious car accident.

Meredith disappeared in the river, and he was lucky to be rescued with only a slight cut to his face.

Because of this, he was left with a sense of guilt. Although Parker did not blame him, he still hoped to

make it up to Parker.

However, Parker remained faithful to the girl he loved even if he had lost her. Dennis had introduced

Parker to many good girls, but Parker never accepted them.

It was unexpected that the Xavier Group would come looking for him now.

Even for Parker, he couldn't help that man.

"Tell them I don't want to see them. Let them go back."

When Dennis's assistant heard this, he hesitated, "But they're offering ten times the usual price, and if

we offend the Xaviers..."

"Cut the crap. I don't have a voice in this studio?"

Dennis didn't care how much money they gave him, but just asked his assistant to kick Derek's men

out.

Derek's men were confused as they thought they were already very sincere. Dennis was really

eccentric.

Derek was at the company, waiting for news from his men. When he learned that Dennis was unwilling

to accept his entrustment, his face immediately clouded over.

"You can't even do such a simple thing. You good-for-nothing!"

His men were scolded and dared not talk back.

When Meredith saw this, she knew that the reason why Derek was so agitated was that he didn't want

her to be anxious. Meredith was touched. She walked up to him and said, "Don't worry. That's what the

hypnotist is said to be. He's cranky. Why don't we go there ourselves and show our sincerity?"

"It's my fault..."

When Derek was comforted, he did not breathe a sigh of relief. Instead, he was very angry.

Nothing went right for him these days.

He even needed Meredith, who should be most anxious, to comfort him now. He shouldn't be like this.

"You've tried your best. I appreciate it."

Meredith held Derek's hand and they stayed there for a while.

Then, remembering that the priority now was to convince Dennis, Meredith immediately let go of his

hand, "Let's go talk to him."

Derek was enjoying having his hand in hers. After all, it wasn't often that Meredith was willing to touch

him on her own, but he managed to regain his composure quickly.

"Okay, let's go."

Then they headed to Dennis's studio according to the address in their hands.

After a while, they arrived at their destination.

"Please tell Mr. Dennis that I'm Derek."

Derek handed his business card to Dennis's assistant and asked him to look for Dennis.
