Chapter 2004
"The Lionhearts?"
Frank rubbed his chin as he frowned in thought. "No. I know for a fact that they want the spiritron vein and are trying their best to keep things quiet.
"After all, if the government takes me down, the spiritron vein might end up falling into their hands, and that's bad news for the Lionhearts. But who could it be, if not them?"
While Frank racked his brains, Juno giggled. "Hehe... By the way, I've heard that you're quite popular with women, darling-even the new ones you met."
"Phoenix Ardron?!"
As Frank remembered the name right then, he also quickly remembered by connection the name of Phoenix's fiance Josh Dellon, who was the Hoxton commissioner.
"It was him?!"
Frank did a double take as he pieced everything together.
Stanley claimed that he had only recently returned since he had been elsewhere half a year. He also added the first person he met since then was Frank, not Geon.
In fact, it was at that meeting when he asked Frank to kill Geon...
Was it possible that Stanley was friends with Josh?
Even as Frank pondered, Juno sat and watched him work, smiling as she rested her cheek on her hand.
Suddenly, a dart shot in through the tavern window straight at Juno's face!
"Hmm?!"
Frank came to his senses right then and caught the dart bare-handed.
"Oh, that's some really quick reflexes. I'm so lucky-I'd be dead if not for you."
Juno patted her ample bosom as if panicking, but Frank could see right away that she was pretending.
Still, he did not expose her and passed her the dart. "Find out yourself who wants you dead."
"Hehe. That's unnecessary."
Juno smiled. "Open the dart."
"Open the dart?"
Frank raised a brow.
Still, after taking a closer look at the dart, he noticed a button at the

He poked it gently, and the dart split in two with a click, while a yellow note dropped out.
"Hehe. That's how we pass messages around here." Juno smiled.
Frank pursed his lips—there was no way that was possible, not with how fast the dart was thrown.
If Juno had been a second slower, the dart would have really killed her.

Seeing the surprise on Frank's face, Juno hid a smile behind her palm. "That's how things work in this profession—you're walking on a tightrope every moment, and if you're not good enough, you die. That's all there is to it."
"Could you actually be concerned for me, darling?"
Staring into Juno's dewy eyes, Frank nodded in a rare moment of honesty. "Of course. You've helped me a lot.
"Eh?"
Juno was actually left stunned by Frank's words, and she appeared at a loss.
