30. Mates, part 10.
MARGARET PROMISES REVENGE
Two days later…
The moon brought with it calm winds, the sky with several stars, a pleasant night, but no one watched. In the snow only the footprints of two middle-structure women were left behind, the direction they headed was directly to the base.
“Welcome, ladies Van Helsing,” an officer greets them.
Mary and Margaret just nod their heads and enter the base, quickly climb the flights of stairs and are already passing through the entrance door on the second floor that is private to the Van Helsing family.
“I thought you two had moved,” Occisor says sitting on the couch looking at them with a serious face.
“Oh, that’s sweet. You missed us, huh?” Mary drops her bags on the floor and walks to the couch and squeezes Occisor’s cheeks.
“You’ll never know,” he says as he smiles and removes Mary’s cold hands from his cheeks.
“Where’s Sasha?” Mary questions as she sweeps the room with her eyes.
“I hope she’s already seven feet below the…”
“She’s in the shower,” Occisor rolls his eyes, “I’m glad you came back safely, Margaret,” he says mockingly.
“Whatever,” Margaret says. Son of a bitch! He swore he was going to kill her and now he’s brought this scum’s female into the base, she thinks.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
During the mission, she was about to explode in anger, she knew that the mission was Occisor’s and she also knew that it only took so long for the two of them to have more privacy. The urge to scream, torture and kill Sasha was great, but she couldn’t go against Mary. And now, apparently, even Occisor is defending that woman. Which makes Margaret even angrier.
“Every day I get more and more thrilled with the love between you,” Mary says, leaning against the sofa and unzipping the zipper of her leather jacket.
“I’m going to my bedroom, I’m not hungry.”
Turning her back, Margaret picks up her bag and sets off to walk to her bedroom, but before she opens the door, the bathroom door is opened revealing Sasha in a see-through nightgown, the young vampire doesn’t fail to notice the wolf’s body in front of her. She has more curves now, she thinks and looks at her angrily.
“Is that how you intend to seduce him? Wearing a whore’s outfit?” she asks, looking the girl up and down.
Sasha doesn’t like Margaret’s looking at her like that, but she also doesn’t understand the meaning of her words.
“What’s a slut?”
“Wha… What?” Her incredulous gaze doesn’t change Sasha’s actions at all. “You’ve got to be kidding me!” Margaret takes a deep breath to calm the latent anger in her being, and as she inhales she smells Occisor mixing with Sasha’s scent. “You’ve already been to bed with him, haven’t you?”
She doesn’t expect an answer, she just opens the door to her bedroom and enters, then closes the door with a great force causing the surrounding walls to shake and that makes Sasha a little scared.
If she’s here, then so is Mary, she thinks cheerfully and walks quickly to the room where she sees Mary sitting smiling while talking to Occisor.
“Welcome back, Mary,” Sasha draws her attention with a big smile.
“Oh! Thank you dear,” the oldest smiles at the young woman and turns her gaze to Occisor.” You could follow her example, right, Occisor?” she slaps him on the shoulder and he only laughs. “I miss the time when you smiled when I arrived at the base after some mission, it was the warmest reception.” Mary gets up from the couch and walks to Sasha. “Thank you dear, I am back,” she ends smiling.
Despite Mary’s cold body, Sasha feels warm and very dear in her arms. She reminds her of Guila’s affections.
Mary smells Occisor exuding from Sasha’s body and her smile increases even more, but she says nothing.
“Come on, honey, I brought you lots of stuff,” she pulls her by the hand and sits on the couch.
Mary returned from the mission with three large bags, one with her belongings and two she brought from traveling with many things for Sasha. The red-eyed vampire opens the first bag and a large amount of clothes make Sasha’s eyes widen, she grabs it one by one. Dresses, skirts, pants. Most of them are dresses. A women’s leather overcoat, choir pants and boots.
“They’re all so beautiful,” she says emotionally as she smoothes the soft fabric of the garments.
“Yeah, she’s sure gonna look great in them, right, Occisor?”
“She can’t get more beautiful,” he says and the comment makes Mary smile widely and Sasha’s face turns red. “Jokes aside, the dresses that will look beautiful being used by you, who are the real beauty.”
What the hell happened to Occisor in just fifteen days? Selene was very quick, Mary thinks, watching them. He’s gentler now, he hasn’t done anything rude, he praised her, what a breakthrough! Mary’s silly smile is that of a mother proud of her son, even though her son does not see her as a mother.
“Now let’s go to the second bag.”
Mary hands the bag to Sasha. Inside the bag are creams for her skin and her hair, a comb, some ornaments that she doesn’t even know how to use and also two notebooks. Among all things this was what drew the girl’s attention the most. She opens one of the gray cover notebooks and sees pages in white.
“What are they for?” she asks, looking at Occisor.
“It’s a diary, darling,” Mary answers even though the question was not addressed to her. “In it you will be able to write anything, a random thought, a feeling that you do not want anyone else to know, what happens to you in your daily life, or else, write about your past and what it means to you. In short, it is a small book where you decide its content and no one but you will read it.”
“That’s amazing,” Sasha smoothes the cover of the notebook, “Putting what I think in words is certainly wonderful, but…”
“But?” Mary asks in order to know what made her sad.
“I didn’t learn how to write,” she says sadly, looking at the floor.
“I’ll teach you,” Occisor says. Sasha looks at him with emotional eyes, the joy she feels makes him happy too, and she is making the most of that joy. “I’m sure you’ll learn fast.” Sasha’s smile is huge. “After all, I’m the one who’s going to be teaching you.”
“So coy” Mary says, smiling.
“Can we start now?”
“Tomorrow morning”
“But what about hunting?”
“You’ve already learned, our lesson ended when today you managed to capture and kill the leader of the herd with your own strategy.”
“Were you teaching her how to hunt?” Mary asks. Occisor nods. “What gun did you give her?”
“We hunted in our lupine form, she said she didn’t want to hunt like humans.”
“Ah, I see.”
Mary smiled inside, Sasha managed to get him to transform again. They were making progress.
“Mary, I want you to have Officer Marcos transferred.”
“Why?”
“He touched Sasha, when I arrived he even hit her.”
Mary widens her eyes and directs them to Sasha who has her head down and a lump formed in her throat, she is holding on so as not to cry again.
“You hit him back, right?”
“She doesn’t know how to defend herself, so I had to assume that role.”
Mary sighs, the sadness in the young woman’s face is notorious. Mary hunts in her mind the memories of when she saw a ragged girl in the pack of the genuine alpha, and now needs to confirm.
“Sasha.”
“Yes,” she looks at Mary.
“Are you part of the genuine alpha pack?”
Sasha’s chest rose and fell slowly, as the sigh of sadness. It wasn’t easy to remember that fact, even though she couldn’t change it, she wished she could forget it.
“Yes, I am the genuine’s daughter, his shame to be exact,” she replies and a tear falls from her eyes.
“It was to be expected,” Margaret enters the room.
“Shouldn’t you be in your bedroom?”
“I couldn’t stand the hunger after fifteen days without eating. So, daddy’s little shame, what are you doing here? You’re here to infiltrate, aren’t you? Set an ambush and kill the traitor of his kind, or…”
“I only came to this town because Guila sent me, she said this would be the safest place for me.”
“Who are you trying to fool, girl?”
“What happened?” Mary is intrigued.
“On the day of the last fight between the alphas, Guila and Bruno gave their lives so I could flee. She said no one would come looking for me in a hunter’s town. ”
“I still don’t understand the reason for your escape.”
“I shouldn’t have been born, the stains on my back represent my brother’s blood, who should be alive, not me. I endured all kinds of humiliation and torture, my father never forgave me and my mother also hated me.”
“Oh my, you poor thing. Do you really think I’m going to believe this little sad story?”
“Shut up, Margaret,” Occisor growls, startling her.
“Go on, dear,” Mary strokes Sasha’s shoulder.
“It was decided that the winner of the fight would have the right to mate with me and after a male cub was born, he’d kill me. The cub was going to be the one who would take the place of heir.”
Occisor closes his hands in a fist, the urge to hunt even more the damned lycanthropes has increased by a hundredfold.
“I’m sorry I came into your lives like that,” she can’t hold her sobs. “But I didn’t want to live like that anymore. I couldn’t stand the smell of blood anymore. Watching humans being tortured… See Guila all purple and with broken teeth whenever an alpha spends the night there.”
“You and your fake tears…”
“I said shut the fuck up!” Occisor speaks loudly, taking the three by surprise.
“Who do you think you are? Have you forgotten that I am the eldest?” she asks in disgust. “Respect me, you…”
“To hell with your age and respect, try to respect my mate if you don’t want to get in a fight where you will lose badly.”
Margaret shuts up, her eyes watering with hatred. This is not the end, she promises herself and leaves the room.
“Don’t mind her words, dear, just give her a little more time. I will teach you self-defense, all your mate knows you will too,” Mary says gently, smiling. “You want to learn, Sasha?”
“Yes, I do!” The young woman’s eyes shine, finally she is being taught to be independent.
“Great. After writing classes, we’ll start with self defense.”
And then, as Margaret corroded with rage, the three of them went to their rooms to sleep.
Well, Mary went to sleep, but Sasha and Occisor…
