The Divorcee and Her Three Chaotic Children (Olivia Clarke and William)

Chapter 19

Chapter 19

It had been five years, and she had never touched William’s hand before. Something has been telling

her that William Kinsman did not understand her. But if only she had a chance, she would make him

utterly enchanted.

By then, no one would be able to stop them from getting married, Lucian or that mysterious woman be

da mned!

A determined look spread across her face. She washed up at once and changed into her nightdress.

Then she lifted the blanket and slid into bed, waiting for William to come in.

The lights were intentionally left off. She wanted to make this a surprise for him.

But she was just in bed when she realized something was terribly wrong.

“There’s someone on the bed!” she thought.

Did William come back when she was bathing!?

Gianna’s heartbeat raced faster with excitement and she threw herself into the arms of the man in bed.

“Wow, I did not take you as someone so intense, Ms. Clarke!”

Hearing the teasing voice of a man who was not William was enough for Gianna to spring out of bed

with a scream.

With a click, the lights in the room were turned on.

Her face went pale. Trembling, she looked closely at the person on the bed. That was not William, but

Jameson! Jameson Smith!

“What a huge embarra**ment!” she grimaced deep inside.

She drew up the fabric of her nightdress to shield what parts of hers still exposed as she thrust a milky-

fair and slender finger at the man with rage, “Jameson Smith!? What on earth are you doing here?!”

She was certain that she was right in William’s room. But why would Jameson be here at all?!

“What? Do I need your permission to use his bed? As for you, what business do you have in here

dressed up like that?”

“Vile monster!” Gianna hissed with venom, although she was worried that someone else outside might

have overheard her.

Nothing had happened, but if the rest of the Kinsmans knew about this, word would spread, and

everyone would begin gossiping about her.

“Maybe I am. But you appear to be even worse than I am, Ms. Clarke.”

Furiously, Gianna swung an arm at Jameson out of anger, although he deftly deflected it.

*Get out of here! Or I’ll make sure William hears about this!”

“So what if he hears about this? Did you not caress my chest so lovingly and tenderly just now?”

Jameson hissed with frost and ridicule, “Or do you think I’ve outraged your modesty in any way at all as

if you have any honor in the first place?”

Gianna involuntarily stag gered backward.

“What do you mean by that, Jameson? What else do you know?!”

“What? Scared?

I’ve been nothing but loyal and loving to William! I’ve nothing to be scared of!”

“Loyalty? You and I both know that’s a quality that you’re severely lacking, Gianna Clarke. If I were to

hear once again that you are having nefarious designs on William, you can bet that I’ll be coming for

you!”

Jameson stared at Gianna intently, the fury in his eyes unquenched by what feeble attempts Gianna

was trying to win his sympathy and pity

Her mouth opened as if to say something worthy of a protest, although nothing came out.

Pleased by her reaction, Jameson trotted out of the bedroom.

Gianna leaned by the wall, feeling a sudden chillness a**ailing her. Trembling, she felt so helpless and

paralyzed that she could barely move.

Fear budded in her, stretching and spreading rapidly into her limbs like venom that kept her immobile

and anxious.

“How could Jameson Smith, a man whom she had always dismissed as worthless, show such strength

and ferocity at her!? What has gone into him?”

Jameson pensively headed to Lucianis bedroom. He was just inside when he felt the searing gaze of

William Kinsman on him.

“William, Jameson responded, wanting to tell him what happened, “Spare me that unfriendly look. Did

you know who I just met inside your

bedroom?”

“Cut the c rap. Come here and have a look at Luci.”

William snapped in a hushed tone to avoid waking up the child who had just fallen asleep.

Jameson anxiously strode to the boy and checked his pulse. Next, he checked the temperature,

heaving a sigh of relief at last when everything

was normal.

“Luci’s all right. So what is wrong here?” Jameson asked William after having a look at Ezra.

As they talked, William and Jameson moved towards the study. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

“Tell me, if a child is afraid of thunder, would a parent lock the child in the attic during a storm?”

“You mean the child’s real parent?”

“Kind of.” Gianna is Lucian’s biological aunt after all.

“The parent should be at the hospital to get her head looked at. No sane parent could do something

like that.”

William did not respond.

Hearing those words left a strange sensation of numbness on his scalp.

He had a bad feeling.

“Even a normal adult with consciences would not do such a thing to an innocent child, never mind real

parents,” added Jameson. “Did something like this really happen? Who’s this wicked parent?”

But William deflected by putting forward another question, although the somber looking on his face was

apparent enough. “So if a child’s parent failed to protect their offspring enough, would that cause some

sort of psychological trauma to the child that he or she would grow up to be a reclusive introvert?”

“Of course. If the damage is not much, then it won’t be a real personality trait. But if prolonged, then he

could be like what Luci used to be. Come on, William. What’s wrong?”

Jameson stared at William’s darkening countenance, and his face turned aghast with dawning

comprehension. “Wait, you’re referring to Gianna! Gianna Clarke!? I told you before! I told you that

she’s a wicked thing! That’s why she had tried to teach Luci to jump off a building! You didn’t believe

me back then! And do you know who did I find skulking in your room? Gianna Clarke. She tried to get

into bed with you and even threatened me to not tell you!”

Gianna had never struck him before as a good person.

He had suspected Gianna to be the one behind the death of Old Mr. Kinsman. He had never once

believed that Old Mr. Kinsman was dead because of Olivia.

She was such a gentle soul!

For years, William had not been able to extricate himself from the hatred he harbored towards Olivia for

her involvement in his father’s death. Anyone who so much as mentioned her name would suffer a

terrible fate.

And Gianna has been fawning around William all the time that he could not find any proof of her deceit!

Yet now, William seemed to have realized that Gianna was hardly the sweet and innocent damsel he

had thought! Would that mean that the day when justice would finally be returned to Olivia is coming

near?

Sure enough, William’s face twisted with dark anger.

His fists clenched into tight balls, and fury swirled in his eyes. “Go,” he hissed at Marshall, “I want

Gianna under surveillance at all times.”

“Yes, sin”

In the meantime, inside Lucian’s bedroom.

Ezra’s eyes regain their mirthful glimmer the moment he heard nothing coming from the room.

He had nearly fallen asleep. But fortunately, his mother came up with the idea of hiding in the attic. She

knew that the Kinsman residence had an attic that he could hide in.

But she had forbidden him from seeing his brother before coming back.

That displeased him. Was he a monster? Would he eat his own brother for breakfast?!

He had come here to teach the bad guy a lesson and fight to defend his mother’s name. Yet she chose

to accompany his little brother and curl up in the comfort of his bed to tell him stories! That really was

displeasing to him!

He sat up and draped his blanket over him. Next, he checked his phone and found the conversation he

had with his mother and began typing a
