Taylor's eyes widened in surprise.

Bella caused such a huge mess, almost shaking the foundation of the Iverson Group and ruining Christopher's reputation.

But Christopher let it go with merely a sentence, "mischievous and naughty"! He must have the most lovesick brain in the world!

"Not wanting to involve Bella is just one of the reasons. Another point is that if the police took the investigation on this matter seriously, it would be bad for us." Christopher added.

Taylor heaved a sigh of relief as he heard it.

"If she has truly come to her senses, she might actually have some brains on her," Christopher said casually.

On the other side, Bella, Justin, and Ralph had a distressed look.

"We thought we had him, but evil is always one step ahead. I didn't expect him to walk free in less than two days. How infuriating!"

Bella's eyes turned red with rage, wanting to slam her fist on the coffee table, but Justin's warm hands caught hers, holding her hands tightly as he pressed them against his chest. " Bella, I get that you're angry, but don't hurt yourself. If you want to vent, hit me instead."

"Then wouldn't I be angry and distressed at the same time? That's even worse!" Bella threw herself into Justin's arms, rubbing her head against his firm chest like an angry kitten, scratching and clawing at his neat shirt.

Justin's eyes were full of affection as he held her thin waist, letting her do what she wanted.

"Stop acting all lovey-dovey! Think of our next step!" Ralph shook his head, unable to watch any longer. He had no mood for this.

"I'm afraid we might not be able to make a move against Christopher now."

Justin's large palm rubbed the soft skin on the back of Bella's neck, his voice deep. "We need to approach this from another angle."

"Now that we've alerted him, that venomous viper would definitely lay low, not making any moves for a while. Sigh... It's such a pity we didn't manage to deal a heavy blow!" Ralph sighed regretfully.
