Silence filled the air. The pair sat there helplessly, as if abandoned on a stormy, deserted island.
"There's something that might be helpful to you." Oscar suddenly remembered something. He lowered his voice and said, "The night before last, the eldest son of the Larson Group, Aaron Larson came to see Christopher. They had a long conversation in a private room."
Yvonne frowned.
"That guy came in looking like he was ready to chew someone up. But after talking to Christopher, he seemed much calmer when he left. I was at the door with another bodyguard. But the soundproofing of the room prevented any sounds from escaping. So, I couldn't hear anything." Oscar sighed in frustration.
However, this bit of information was enough to spark an idea in Yvonne.
The Larson Group was a leading pharmaceutical company in the country.
As far as Yvonne knew, Christopher had been helping the boss operate pharmaceutical businesses domestically, and his first goal would be to suppress the Larson Group.
Christopher was ruthless and would never collaborate with the Larsons.
So, his meeting with Aaron must have been to set some insidious trap for him.

When Taylor came to see Christopher with freshly decanted red wine, he immediately understood what had happened from the state of the room.
He set down the tray and hesitated before handing over a photograph.
"This was taken by the person you sent to follow Ms. Smith today."
Christopher lounged lazily on the sofa with a whip in his left hand. He raised his right hand and took the photograph between his fingers.
In the photo, Drew pinned Yvonne against a tree and gently kissed her cheek. It was an incredibly tender
scene.
"Look how captivated Yvonne was."
Christopher sneered, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "She used to only look at me like that when she was by my side. It seems she truly loves Drew."
Taylor furrowed his brows tightly. "Mr. Iverson, what do you plan to do about this..."
"Although she's been with me for many years, I can't keep a woman who's given her heart to another man around."
Christopher's eyes were half-closed as he curled his lips into a smirk. "But in the spirit of making the
most of what one has, let's keep her around a little longer. After all, she's a bait to lure Drew into the trap. Isn't that right?"
"You're right."
Having worked with Yvonne for many years, Taylor had a certain fondness for her and always treated her with care.
