The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 1734

Carrie learned how to put on a front, shutting herself in the studio once she got home and focusing on painting without revealing any emotion.

Yasmin did not notice her unusual behavior.

If she had to say there was anything different with Carrie, it was her paintings. The colors grew darker and heavier, and Yasmin found it harder to understand. Carrie heard that Ryan returned to the Hoffman residence to meet Logan, which made her uneasy. She waited for him to come home while painting in her studio. She waited a long time, but he did not return. Eventually, she was so exhausted that she could not hold on, falling asleep among the piles of paint.

It was early in the morning when Ryan hurried back.

Seeing his beloved fiancee sleeping on the table, the colorful paint smearing her face and body like a cat, he could not help but smile fondly.

"Mr. Hoffman, why are you so late? Young Madam has been waiting for a long time."

Yasmin asked worriedly, "Did the conversation about your engagement go well with Old Master Logan?"

"Grandpa has agreed to let me handle it myself." Ryan stood at the door, staring deeply at the sleeping girl with affectionate eyes.

Yasmin was excited. "Really?!"

Ryan raised his fingers to his lips, hushing her. "Yeah. After I left the Hoffman Residence, I went to the Meteor Atelier in Hatchbay. I heard they have some good materials and fine items recently. I was afraid they'd be snatched up if I was late, so I rushed over, trying to find something suitable for Carrie. I'm only free today. There will be more work tomorrow, so I thought I'd get everything done today."

Yasmin could not stop the bitter feeling rising in her heart. She said hoarsely, "You've worked hard."

"It's nothing. Everything will get better slowly."

As he spoke, Ryan took out a thin, long box from his pocket and opened it in front of Yasmin. Lying inside was a finely carved jade hairpin with a beautiful luster.

Yasmin's eyes widened in astonishment, deeply attracted by it. One look was enough for her to tell how precious it was.

"It's so pretty and perfect for Young Madam."

"How can my princess always use a pencil to tie her hair into a bun? Qnly such an expensive hairpin suits her."

A gentle light shone b

Yasmin nodded in agreement.

"Oh, and one more thing." Ryan pulled out another box from his coat pocket and handed it to her. "This is for you."

Yasmin was stunned, hesitatingly

"Emerald signifies prosperity and growth," Ryan said lightly.

"This is too much. I can't take it."

Yasmin's hands trembled as sheet

held the box, trying to return it to Ryan in a panic, but Ryan pushed it back into her hands.

"Isn't your birthday in a few days? This is your birthday present. Take it; it's from me and Carrie."

At this point, Yasmin had no reason to refuse. She choked up, “Thank you..."

"I don't know if I could make it back to celebrate your birthday, so I'll wish you a happy birthday in advance, Yasmin.”

As his words fell, Ryan walked softly into the room, toward the one he loved.

Yasmin's reddened eyes brimmed with warm tears, and she clutched the necklace tightly in her palms, pressing it to her heart.
