Chapter 1677
Suddenly, James' eyes lit up as an evil thought came to mind.
Since he could not get his hands on Bella, he could at least vent his anger on the substitute!
He immediately called his secretary. His gaze was lascivious as he ordered, "Call the manager of Pivotage to have a drink with me."
Even though Yvonne was not planning to greet any customers tonight, she was still dressed to the nines from head to toe. She wore a light purple silk dress, revealing a large patch of flawless and fair skin on her back. She was sexy and exquisite.
It was the image she needed to maintain as Pivotage's manager.
Shaking the glass of wine in her hand, Yvonne walked into the monitoring room, full of screens.
Two employees there immediately got up and bowed. "Ms. Yvonne!"
"Is everything normal?" Yvonne's red lips pressed against the glass, taking a light sip.
"Yes. It's just that James brought some of his friends over and is having fun in Room S001."
An employee hesitantly asked, "Ms. Yvonne, James and Mr. Christopher are mortal enemies. What should we..."Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
"Since we are a business, all customers are welcome. James booked our most expensive private room, so we should give him a good time. Grudges don't interfere with making money."
Yvonne curled her lips disdainfully. "Tonight, the price for everything on the menu in S001 is doubled."
The two employees snickered. Yvonne was prepared to empty James' bank tonight.
Yvonne sipped her wine while sashaying to the surveillance screen, which was like an inescapable net, her eyes scanning the screens sharply.
Since she was a teenager, Christopher started training her in multiple aspects. Surveillance was one of them, which honed her eyes to be as sensitive and keen as a detective's.
An ordinary person would only feel dizzy when they looked at these densely packed screens, but she could remember the faces of every single person who appeared on the surveillance cameras in a few minutes. If there were any anomalies, she could detect them in seconds.
Just as she prepared to leave, her pupils shrank suddenly, and she focused on a screen in the far corner.
Drew's hard-to-ignore, striking figure flashed by.
Although he disappeared in the blink of an eye, Yvonne still saw him. That image was etched deeply into her mind.
Drew was not a member of Pivotage, so how did he get in?
What was he planning?!
Yvonne breathed hard to calm her pounding heart and suddenly turned around, smiling. "You've worked hard the whole night looking at the surveillance cameras. I prepared some snacks in the lounge. Go on and take a break. I'll keep watch over here."
"Thank you, Ms. Yvonne! You're so kind!"
The two employees left happily.
Yvonne secretly breathed a sigh of relief, then skillfully began typing on the keyboard, pulling up the footage of Drew.
Under the high-definition surveillance camera, the man's handsome face struck her trembling pupils. His sharp eyes were cold as ice, irresistibly drawing her in.
But she had no time to admire it further, as she quickly deleted it.
Drew completely vanished from the surveillance.
Although Drew was a special agent with top-tier counter-surveillance skills, he still underestimated Christopher's meticulousness and Pivotage's surveillance system.
The so-called privacy was merely to ease the customers.
This place was riddled with spy cameras. It could be behind the mirror or inside the flower pot. Even a fly would be caught by one of the cameras, let alone an adult man, and a strikingly handsome one at that.
However, Drew remained calm and moved swiftly without a care. If he could get in, he could get out.
