"Alright, Claire, you should head back now," said Sherman.

"Why are you stopping me from speaking? Everything I said is true. Can't Miss Rita handle the truth?"

Claire looked aggrieved, and Rita's expression turned cold.

"Miss Claire, why don't you just come right out with it? There's no need to beat around the bush. You're acting quite different from when we met during the interview. I thought you were the straightforward type.'

Rita shifted her gaze aside. She could not quite discern which version of Claire was the real one. After all, they had a pleasant conversation during the interview, but at this moment, she seemed like a different person. In fact, she was acting more like the resentful wife she performed on stage.
