Since yesterday, I’ve been unable to tell hominic that it’s time, I thought it would be easier through a text message, but it’s just as difficult. I’ve typed at so many times but can’t seem to just send, so here I am, still trying to muster the courage to do it. 

However, a’ll have to wait because I’m already on my way out so we can leave for the hotel, Sophie’s launch will be starting soon and we’re net supposed to be late as we’ll have to go through the red carpet first. 

The event is being held at one of Dominic’s five star hotels. 

“Vanessa We need to go,” he says from the other side of the door as he knocks an

Quickly, I smooth down my body hugging black dress and slick back ponytail, then carry my purse as I rush to the door. He’s obviously already downstairs. 

As soon as I open the door, my eyes widen at the sight of him waiting for me. He’s in an elegant black suit tailored to his toned physique and 

slick back hairstyle to accentuate his chiseled features.

It even comes to mind that this might be a great time to tell him what I’ve been struggling with since yesterday, but his phone suddenly rings. There’s actually a part of me that’s actually glad because I still can’t bring myself to do it. 

As soon as we arrive at the hotel, I can already see the photographers outside and they swarm our limousine, security swinging into action. 

Dominic steps out first and holds out his hand for me as he looks around, all the lighting of the evening illuminating his features, 

The moment i place my hand in his and step out, my heart flutters. Our fingers intertwine and I find myself smiling. The best part about this is that he won’t even know it’s because of him. Why did I have to feel this way about someone I first thought was nothing but an asshole? 

Protected by security, we stop at a restricted area on the red carpet and pose for the photographers waiting on the other side of the barrier, the camera flashes constantly going off 

As he faces forward, he holds me so close by the waist that I can’t help but look up at him with a heart fluttering smile as I place a hand on his chest, something which the photographers seem to love. 

I soon realize what’s going on and snap out of it, taking the first step away from that area and he follows suit. I don’t know why I got so carried away for everyone to see.

While I keep touching the diamond necklace, he stares at my neck and collarbone area, and I assume it’s only so he can internally brag about what he’s just done for all to see.

“Hey, eyes off my wife,” Dominic says to him, wrapping his arm around my waist as he kisses my cheek. And just like that, my heart flutters again and I feel a tingling sensation rush to my chocks 

“Come on, I’m just looking at the diamond necklace,” Frank chuckles. 

“I want to see it up–close, too,” Jake chimes in as he joins us, staring right at my neck. “Damn, it’s gorgeous. You look like a goddess.” 

“Thank you, I chuckle. 

Dominic kisses my cheek again and proudly says. “Of course she looks like a goddess.” 

With his possessive hold on me, I look up at him and he smirks at me. I know he’s doing this because everyone’s watching, but being in his arms right now is unlike anything I’ve ever felt before.
