The Daring Billionaire’s Wife by Lypstical

Chapter 132

Dominic

What I saw between Vanessa and Patrick has bothered me so much that I can't take it anymore and here I am, opening my mouth to her without thinking. Now that I've made it known that I have something to say, her look of curiosity makes me realize I didn't think things through as I barged out of the bathroom with this towel on me.

It doesn't take long for me to figure out what to say and I know it's wrong of me, but it's the only way that I can talk about this.

"I punched Patrick in the face for kissing you," I say to her for a start.

"You did what?"

She raises her eyebrows in shock and I can't tell if it's because I punched Patrick or the fact that I know.

I shamelessly nod to myself, having no regrets about what I'm about to say

"Yeah, I punched him. What actually happened was that he wasn't too careful while we played and he ended up getting hit a few times. He even assumed that I was being too rough with him and thought it was because of what happened between you two. He brought it up as a confession but there was no need because I saw the two of you earlier."

Her jaw drops as she looks away. "You...you saw us? Why didn't you say anything when we spoke earlier?"

"And then what? It's none of my business. I already made the assumption that you two are a couple."

She sighs. "There's absolutely nothing going on."

"You're right about that. Patrick also made it seem like there was nothing going on. I only punched him because that was the reaction anyone would expect for me, but..."

"But what?"

"He actually seemed surprised that I reacted that way. It was strange."

"He was strange with me too after that kiss."

As soon as she mentions it, I clench my jaw and can hear my heart race a little. Why is it still bothering me even after talking about it?

"How did you even see us?" she asks.

"I went for a drive with Frank and caught a glimpse. What were you thinking by being in that alley with him? Where were your bodyguards? What if someone caught that on camera or something?" "I didn't know that it would lead to what happened, okay?"

"I can only hope that no one else saw that." I exhale sharply as I look away, wishing I didn't see it myself.

"If you only saw Patrick's lips on mine, then I guess you didn't see the part where I slapped him."

"You did?" I ask, instantly looking back at her in surprise by this new information.

"Yeah, I did, right after he kissed me."

Just learning about this makes the load in my chest lighter and I press my lips together for a few seconds, wondering why it feels like I want to smile.

Composing myself, I say, "But why did you even slap him?"

"I didn't want any part of what he did." She twists her face in disgust.

Hearing it from her own mouth makes me feel much better and I'm once again filled with a pride that I can't even show her.

Just to show her that I'm still upset, I maintain my poker face as I say, "Why didn't you tell me about this?"

"I didn't see the need for it." She shrugs.

"What do you mean by that? You and I have an agreement."

"There was nothing to tell you."

"I still deserved to know as soon as it happened."

She scoffs. "Aren't you getting a little too entitled? It's not like you told me everything that happened between you and Carmella." "That's different and you know it." I get closer, towering over her. "Next time you kiss Patrick, make sure you say something."

She glances at the towel covering my lower half. "There won't be a next time for that."

"Don't be so sure about that."

"I'm sure. I made my feelings clear to him when I told him I don't love him. I feel nothing for him."

"Did you mean it?" My voice is quiet.

She looks up at me, her expression soft. "I meant every word. I really feel nothing for him."

Her gaze drops to my Adonis belt, then back up to my face. It's only now that I realize I'm standing too close and making it harder for her not to look at my body.

As I take a step back, I glance at her thighs and I'm certain I see her press them together. I tell myself to look away and not even dare make assumptions of what it could mean, but it's too late. It's been over a month since I fucked and lately, it's only gotten harder to keep myself under control.

"I'm surprised you don't seem upset anymore when you haven't yet solved the problem," she says, snapping me out of it.

"What are you talking about?"

"I read the second article and I'm certain it upset you. That's why you've been so different today."

I clench my fist once again with a sigh. Since she doesn't need to know that the only reason I was upset was because of her kiss with Patrick, I decide to keep the information to myself.

"I didn't think Carmella would give out more details so fast," I say to her. "Now I have to fix this. I'm meeting her tomorrow."

She suddenly rises to her feet. "What? She's back?"

"No. I'm flying out to meet her."

She shakes her head in disbelief. "That's what she wants."

"I know, but for now, I just need to find out her conditions so she keeps her mouth shut about this."

"But what if her conditions are a bit too extreme?"

Her gaze meets mine as I look down at her and she actually seems worried. But why would she be?

"As long as it's something I can give her, I will," I say to her.

She chuckles bitterly. "Are you that desperate to prevent the truth from coming out?"

Her tone sounds like she's mocking me, and it makes me glare at her as I take a step forward.

"You know the answer to that." My voice is low but authoritative. "Don't you dare ask me that again."

The room then falls silent as I feel her submissiveness under my gaze and tone. It's unexpecte but I sense it. Seeing her in this state only arouses a certain need.

Suddenly, she steps to the side to get away and clears her throat. "You should go in and take a shower. I'll go in after you."

I shut my eyes, wondering what I thought it was that was about to happen just now.

Even as I head into the bathroom, I can't stop thinking about it but suddenly, something else crosses my mind and I stop in my tracks, feeling awful.

"How did it go with your dad? How's he doing?"

I face the floor, ashamed that it's only now that I'm asking her about him and it's all because my rage clouded everything else...and my lust just now.

She chuckles and I slowly raise my

head as she begins to tell me all about her day with him. I still can't get over how I constantly check up on her but this time, I didn't want to just because I was upset with her, but why would I be so upset over something that doesn't concern my feelings?

It's already 11 a.m. and I'm frustrated that I have to do this just so Carmella and I can come to an agreement.

As I head to the address she gave me, I talk to Frank over the phone.

"Who would've thought that you'd be meeting your ex-girlfriend just to get blackmailed?"

"It sounds extremely shitty when you put it like that."

"But that's exactly what's happening!"

"Just make sure you cover for me in case of anything."

"Hey, have I ever failed you before?"

"No, but there's always a first time."

"It definitely won't be this time!"

I chuckle. "Thanks, man."NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

After my call with him, I check on Vanessa just to find out how she's doing. Things are back to normal, unlike yesterday when I didn't want to do this, except I still can't figure out why I was thrilled to learn that she slapped Patrick.

The car stops at a red light and I

lean back in my seat, the submissive look she gave me last evening

flashing in my mind after I turned a little dominant during our

I

conversation. The things I wanted to do to her at that moment take over

and even after the green light, I can't

seem to shut them out.

Sex is obviously the last thing on her mind, especially with me, which is why this will only ever be in my head as I continue to feel the desire to satisfy my needs.

I arrive at the apartment twenty five

minutes later and it's a total

downgrade from the apartment I gave to Carmella. Nothing will ever compare to that luxury and she has no one but herself to blame for it

even though I don't see that

happening any time soon,

Bracing myself, I ring the doorbell a few times and I can actually hear her coming to the door in her heels.

The door finally opens and from the floor, the first thing I see are her black stilettos. My eyes travel up her legs. Then comes the red lace fabric barely covering her thighs with her hip poked out and a hand on

her waist.

"Hey, babe," she says flirtatiously.

I look past her cleavage so I can see her face and everything about her only looks seductive - from her hair with a large side part to her makeup, making me realize what I'm about to walk into.
