The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan)

Chapter 432

Chapter 432

Cordelia stepped out of the office door, thinking to herself, “Dustin sure has a lot of faith in Harold,

allowing him first dibs on the project.” It was clear that he considered Harold as his star pupil. Dustin

was an authority in investment, and with his endorsement, Harold was destined to make it big.

Moreover, according to Sally, there was a basketball game coming up, and Harold was a key player. If

she messed up his game because of this matter, she could very well become public enemy number

one of Birchwood College's basketball team.

Cordelia decided to wait a while before telling Harold. After all, she was a divorcee with a child, not

exactly the most eligible bachelorette.

...

"Miss Alana, Cordelia left the University of Edinburgh for Birchwood College and became an

independent director for Empower Operations. Coincidentally, Lumos Enterprises has also partnered

with Empower Operations, and they reconnected. However, the grudges of the past few years probably

aren't that easy to let go of. Plus, there's a young man at Birchwood College who's been chasing after C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

Cordelia. This young man is the son of the housekeeper from the Ronan family, and he's quite

impressive."

Inside the hotel, a man in a black suit reported to Alana.

"Oh? Do Ronan and the young man know each other?"

"They do. The young man is probably hesitant to bring up the matter in front of his family due to the

age gap between him and Cordelia. He probably wants to win her over first."

Alana chuckled, "Isn't that a coincidence? I'm not sure if it's meant to be! What about Samantha? Isn't

she filming a teen drama these days? Have her film at Birchwood College, show her Harold's picture,

and let her trigger Harold to confess his feelings. Make sure she doesn't blurt out anything about

Ronan. Only reveal this matter when Harold and Cordelia are getting closer, that would be fun. I bet

Ronan hates her for not taking care of their child. He'd be furious knowing another young stud is

pursuing her. Also, have Tabitha flaunt their child in front of Cordelia."

"What should Tabitha say?" The man in the black suit asked his boss.

"She doesn't have to say anything. Her mere presence is the biggest provocation to Cordelia. I don't

want Cordelia and her child to reunite. I want her to go crazy! Just like her mother!"

"Alright, I'll arrange it as soon as possible."

With that, Alana burst into laughter.

Back in the day, The High Society became an expected hit, and Alana's film company became top-tier

in the country. She was super successful.

These past few years, Alana's star shone even brighter.

After Samantha’s incident, Alana realized she had been seeking revenge on the wrong person and

started treating Samantha slightly better, perhaps with a hint of compensation. Samantha also knew

how to read the room.

Samantha signed with Alana's agency, and Alana started pushing resources her way. Now, she was a

second-tier actress, not because the company wasn't promoting her, but because her height and looks

were limiting, and she wasn't exactly popular with the public. Pushing her further could cause a

backlash.

She wasn't your average the girl-next-door type; she was more of a stylish, sophisticated "femme

fatale." Her acting in The Grand Hotel was the best of her career and won her numerous fans.

Even though she was only a second-tier actress, Samantha now had a big house and a constant

stream of endorsements, which was one hundred times better than her time in Roseville.

The man in the black suit told Samantha about the teen drama shooting in Birchwood and showed her

Harold's picture.

"Well, isn't he handsome," Samantha remarked.

The man in the black suit scoffed at Samantha. "Whether he's handsome or not has nothing to do with

you!"

Samantha rolled her eyes. She was playing a teacher in the drama.

"Of course. You can learn how to play a teacher from your cousin," the man in the black suit suggested.

"I haven't seen my cousin in years. I kind of miss her. Who would've thought, she has resurfaced? Now,

I can stand tall and proud in front of her. Where's the script for the teen drama? Give it to me." She took

the script from the man in the black suit.
