The Contracted Ever After (Cordelia and Ronan)

Chapter 394

Chapter 394

Ronan had already caught up with the situation through a video call with Janice. At 9 o'clock this

morning, Jessica took the kid out to enjoy the sun. While Jessica was chatting with other moms in the

park, the child went missing.

Ronan wasn't as frantic as Cordelia. He calmly dialed the U.S. branch of his company to book two

plane tickets to Millstone, then called Alana.

"You took my kid, huh? Do you want to end up behind bars?" He warned Alana in a gruff tone.

"Mr. Evans, you've got it all twisted. It wasn't me, it was the child's grandmother, Allison, who took him. I

heard about it and have already retrieved the child for you. Shouldn't you be thanking me, Mr. Evans?

While you were cozying up with Cordelia in the States, I was the one taking care of your child," Alana

retorted.

Cordelia thought to herself, “I knew it.” She wasn't one to worry over anything.

Also, who was this grandmother Alana was referring to?

"I'm heading home now. If you dare lay a finger on my child, you'd better watch your back!" Ronan Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

warned Alana.

"I'll wait for Mr. Evans’ return."

Ronan headed to the airport donned in his suit, with Cordelia tagging along. On the way there, Cordelia

seethed with resentment towards Ronan, blaming him for what happened to their child. If anything

happened to their child, she vowed not to let him off the hook!

On the plane, Cordelia wept non-stop, blaming Ronan in between sobs.

"Enough, stop crying, will you? Why do you always cry when things get tough?" Ronan glanced

sideways at the sobbing Cordelia.

Cordelia stopped crying and dozed off for a while. She was still mad at Ronan and ignored him

throughout the journey.

Upon arriving home, they found Alana sitting on their living room couch, cradling Callum, who was fast

asleep. Janice had been standing by the entire time.

Seeing the weary couple return, Alana commented, "Both of you came back together? Allison, the

child's grandmother, just wanted to see him. She took him when she saw the nanny was gone. I have a

score to settle with Allison, so of course, I couldn't let her have her way. I got your child back for you.

Here, take your child."

Ronan signaled Janice with his eyes, and she took the child from Alana.

"Who did you say? The child's grandmother?" Cordelia caught on to that phrase.

This was the first time Cordelia had seen Alana up close. She was beautiful, but her heart was as cold

as a snake's. She was far more ruthless than Deanna. Deanna was cruel, but she was stupid. Alana,

on the other hand, was cunning and had the means to always pinpoint Cordelia's weaknesses.

"Didn't Mr. Evans tell you? Your mom, Allison, was my assistant years ago. She seduced a popular

young actor, August, and had his bastard child—you. Being pregnant out of wedlock was a disgrace, so

she had no choice but to give you up. And she stole an emerald ring from me when she left. See, isn't

this it?" Alana held up a ring for Cordelia to take.

Step by step, Cordelia approached Alana and took the ring from her hand. It was identical to her own.

This ring couldn't be Cordelia's; hers had sunk to the bottom of the lake in Millstone Park. There was no

way they could have retrieved it.

"Mr. Evans, you should thank me this time. Allison stole your precious son. I don't condone anything

she does. Plus, you had warned me before. I am familiar with your status and the power Lumos

Enterprises has, so I obviously listen to you," Alana said with a smile.

Cordelia studied Alana closely as she spoke, then said, "You're not Alana!"
