Chapter 331
Chapter 331
With a huff and a puff, Ronan managed to carry Cordelia only a few steps before having to put her
down.
"What do you weigh now? Two hundred pounds?" Ronan frowned, eyeing Cordelia up and down.
"No way! Quit your nonsense." Cordelia poked Ronan in annoyance.
The pair boarded the elevator and headed upstairs.
As soon as they entered the room, Ronan had Cordelia pressed against the door, showering her in
kisses.
The kisses left Cordelia breathless and flustered.
"You start dinner. I need to rest." Cordelia's forehead was lightly beaded with sweat.
She was exhausted.
Back in the room, Cordelia lay on the bed, scrolling through her phone while resting. She noticed
Ronan liked the latest post on her Facebook timeline.
His like was a declaration to everyone that the picture wasn't taken stealthily but with his consent.
All colleagues who liked or commented on the post would likely receive a notification.
Cordelia shot him a message on Messenger. [Are you free? Not cooking?]
Ronan didn't reply. He was probably busy.
By the time he entered the bedroom to call Cordelia for dinner, she had dozed off.
Ronan nudged her, waking her. She held his hand and smiled.
"I think it's quite nice without Janice here," Cordelia casually mentioned during dinner.
"You're happy when I'm busy?"
"Well, doesn't the husband have to help out when his wife is having his babies?" Cordelia retorted
nonchalantly.
"What did you name the kids?" Ronan didn't respond to Cordelia's comment, asking his question
instead.
"Uh, I haven't thought about it. You're the cultured one, you think of something." Cordelia sounded
indiffere
Ronan paused. “How about Callum Evans for the boy and Edith Evans for the girl?”
“Which does Edith represent?”
“Edith represents tranquility.”
“Hmm, it's a beautiful name, with a beautiful meaning.” Cordelia's face lit up like a blooming flower.
“Why are you only interested in the girl's name? Don't you like the boy?” Ronan asked Cordelia, his
brow slightly furrowed.
“I prefer girls a bit more. I don't have that much of an attachment to boys. So, I am more fond of the
little girl's name. I can imagine her round eyes, when I braid her hair in the future. She will definitely be
beautiful,” Cordelia spoke dreamily, forgetting to eat.
“Why would she definitely be beautiful?”
"Just like you. If she looks like you, she'll be beautiful," Cordelia said.
“You don’t care about the boy at all.” Ronan seemed somewhat disdainful of Cordelia's blatant
preference. "I've already set up the trust fund."
"What trust fund?" Cordelia asked.
But then she remembered studying about trusts in her textbooks. She thought she would never have to
deal with them in her lifetime as they seemed too distant from her life. Yet, here Ronan was, having
already set them up.
“Don't get it?” Ronan asked her.
“I get it a bit.” Cordelia sounded slightly insecure. “I just didn't think my children would need one.”
“Indeed, if you had a child with Logan, you wouldn’t need these.”
“It's been so long, why do you keep bringing it up? Is it fun?” Cordelia mumbled, looking down.
“It's not fun. Eat up.”
Cordelia didn't say anything more.
Today, Cordelia was really tired. After dinner, she went to take a bath. Soaking in the tub felt wonderful.
As she was meditating with her eyes closed, Ronan walked in.
He began to undress and joined her in the tub.
Cordelia had been soaking for a while. Her face was a charming shade of peach. Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Ronan began to kiss Cordelia, and she reciprocated eagerly.
She almost slipped to the bottom of the tub, but Ronan caught her under her arms.
With a panicked laugh, Cordelia looked at him, and her expression was completely naïve.
