“First, it’s Daniel becoming a shareholder, then me becoming a shareholder and the third largest, what’s the talk about my Dad, all these are getting too much for me to bear” Everyone could hear Claire give a loud sigh.

Alex held and pressed into her hands before turning on the mic on his seat.

“Please everyone, I want us to decide if my parents, Mr and Mrs Reynolds is to be part of this meeting as Daniel as said before we can correct anything, we should correct ourselves” Alex said as he sips from a glass of water

“This to me seems like a family issue, Mr and Mrs Reynolds should excuse us until otherwise, this is my vote” Amanda said “Also I believe Mr CEO should get ready to give us tangible solutions to these problems”.

Mom, Dad, I can’t keep doing this. This is my company, and I have the final say.

“Alex, we founded this company, and whether we are still the majority shareholders or not, whether we own a share or not, we surely have a say in its direction and we just want what’s best for the company.” Mrs Reynolds voiced her mind

Alex slams his hand on the table, startling everyone in the room. “No! I’ve had enough of your interference. The only say you have here is that you started the company. You can’t keep trying to control every decision I make. This is MY company, and I won’t have you ruining it!”

“We’re not trying to ruin anything, but we’ve invested our life’s work into this. We love you, Alex. We only want to help.”

Alex this time trying to be as calm as possible, “I appreciate what you’ve done, but it’s time for you to step back. I’m running the show now.

James, Alex’s Father stands up, his face reddening with anger, well it could also be noticed in his voice too that he is very angry he raised his voice against Alex “You can’t just push us out like this, Alex!”

Alex very well on his feet responded “I can, and I will. It’s my responsibility now. Leave the shareholders meeting.

“I expected this day but not from you Alex, let’s go dear, I will just head straight to my office outside the city if that’s what you all want” Mr Reynolds said as he left the room.

“You ended up causing us havoc, and disunity is booming in our family because of you, this is who you ready are”. Mrs Reynolds said to Claire as she poured a cup of water on her

“Mom, that’s all good, I guess you remember your part of the contract, we will see after this meeting, you are the ones messing with my life,” he faced Claire “am sorry Claire, am so sorry ”

Alex watches as his parents exit the room, his anger slowly giving way to a mix of emotions.

The room falls silent as the door closes behind Mr and Mrs Reynolds, leaving Alex to contemplate the difficult decision he’s just made.

“Can we shift out of all these drama, I vote for the removal of Mr Alex as the CEO” Mr Collins said

“That’s not what we should be talking about right now” Daniel cut in but he was massively suppressed by other angry shareholders.

“Let’s get this straight” Amanda stood up “I believe we should vote, let’s vote on what our next meeting should be, I suggest our next meeting should be 9:00am tomorrow and in that meeting we will either get a new CEO or get a new Alex”

“I vote for the removal of Mr Alex as the CEO as the agenda in our next meeting” Mr Collins claim

“And why are you bent on doing that, do you want to become the CEO? Daniel said angrily”

“This meeting will continue tomorrow by 9:00am and we will vote tomorrow if Mr Alex will be removed or not and we will talk about the way to stabilize things” Amanda said “Mr Alex, you should take care of this too”, she points to Claire, who is currently dreached.

Alex, who had already taken off his jacket and covered Claire’s body, “since the meeting is over I think I can go now” he stood up and took Claire out of the building, the reporters were still booming, but Alex and Claire were in disguise. The reporters were busy with Alex’s parents and didn’t catch a glimpse until the vehicle started.

In the car, Alex took his phone and told Daniel to go ahead with the plan, they had scheduled a meeting with all the team lead in each department especially those who have close relationship with Claire, they were to meet in Daniel’s house

“What’s going on Alex? Can you just tell me? I have so many questions, I don’t know……” Alex hushed her, “all you need to do for me is to calm down, for the sake of the baby, everything I am doing is for your own good, for our good, and I won’t like anything to happen to you or my baby inside you”

“But it’s hard getting fragments of incidents that I can’t imagine, it seems somehow, how on earth do you want me to think straight”

“Then should I drop you off before heading to Daniel’s” Alex asked with so much concern “No, right now I will rather stay where you are, but still give me hint on whatever is happening” Claire responded looking very down and impatient, “there are many things I have to tell her but I can’t summon the courage to tell her anything”
