Chapter 34: Taking the Initiative to Explain
“… Tredan, mmm… ah” Tredan Davi didn’t even give Octavia Gills a chance to open her mouth to explain, dominating her and fiercely possessing her.
There were no stars in the sky outside the window, and it might be a rainy day tomorrow, but Tredan Davi’s heart was full and not empty. As she watched Tredan Davi sleeping, Octavia Gills can’t help but look at his features, every part of his body, every inch of his skin, she can’t help but draw them into her mind. One day, when she has gone, she could remember exactly what he looked like, how he laughed! The way he cried, the way he got angry, the way he sniggered and the way he was gentle.
It was time for her to go home, and Octavia Gills carefully tucked him in. Octavia Gills picked out a plain shirt and put it on, she was putting on her shoes and was ready to go home.
“Octavia, have I given you permission to leave this room? Did I give you permission to leave the house?” Tredan Davi came out of the bedroom and looked angrily at Octavia Gills, slowly walking over to her step by step.
“I… it’s time for me to go home! It’s late at night! I’ll… go first!” Octavia Gills felt it was safest to run away, the man was not being sensible at the moment. Octavia Gills, who had stepped forward to open the door, was unable to escape Tredan Davi’s clutches and wrenched it back with one hand.
“Don’t you dare take another step forward!” Tredan Davi said gently to her in an extremely grim tone.
Oh my God! What’s wrong with this man today, Octavia Gills shuddered! Her eyes didn’t dare to meet his, they flickered to either side.
“What? Have you got a weak heart? Are you trying to get to that guy?” Tredan Davi was so jealous that he completely lost his good judgement.
“Tredan, you keep talking about that man, who are you talking about?” Octavia Gills felt that if there was a misunderstanding, it had to be said, otherwise the misunderstanding would grow deeper later. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
“Wouldn’t you know that? Or do you have other men besides him and me, then you are something!” Tredan Davi lifted the hair covering his eyes. For Octavia Gills, it was seemingly gentle but it was making her feel unusually horrible.
“How did you hook up with him from the bar and what kind of high-handedness did you use to get him to promote you to treasurer as soon as he took over as managing director?” The large hand stroking her small face lifted Octavia Gills’ chin compulsively so that she could not avoid to look at him eye to eye.
The man Tredan Davi keeps talking about?? is that him? Is it Eddison Davi?
“Tredan, I am not a person who is good at expressing myself, I can ignore what people think of me and say about me, but please believe me! I have no affair with the General Manager, I have a mere colleague, boss-subordinate relationship with him. Can you believe that?”
Octavia Gills was expecting Tredan Davi’s trust, her true love for him is evident as the sun and the moon, and she can accept any kind of humiliation from him, but not this crime of having an affair with another man.
Tredan Davi’s eyes were so clear, Tredan Davi hesitated, she had been called so nasty, why didn’t he dislike her, not even a little, he was afraid she would run away with someone else, Tredan Davi struggled with pain, she was just Lilian Drye’s stand-in, he didn’t deserve this!
Octavia Gills was heartbroken to see Tredan Davi in such distress, letting go of any moral constraints, and at the moment she wanted nothing more than to hold him fiercely and not wish him such pain.
“Tredan, I won’t defend myself; I’ve been like this since I was a child, but I’m telling you once and only once today, and I won’t say anything about it ever again.” She looked at Tredan Davi sincerely, took his hand and put it on her chest, and affectionately said to him, “Tredan, from that night in the hotel, when I was coldly and callously neglected by you, Domino took me to the bar and drank, when I was so sad and upset, and that time, for the first time in my life I got drunk and two hooligans tried to molested me, and by coincidence Eddison saved me, so he and I sort of met in the bar. As for the promotion, I can say that Domino helped me get that promotion. Eddison, challenged me that if I could sign the contract with Grand Property, I would get a fair chance to be promoted. The company’s project leader Woodrow, didn’t you see that too?”
Tredan Davi listened to her detailed explanation of how hurt the woman had been when she spoke of the night at the Christmas Conference hotel, and he had the sadness and guilt of remembering clearly that she had given herself to him completely that night. He vaguely remembered the bright red stain on the sofa.
“I’m sorry!” Tredan Davi tenderly whispered his apologies in Octavia Gills ear before gently kissing her forehead!
Octavia Gills looked at Tredan Davi in disbelief as he told her he was sorry, and she was so happy that she could clearly feel Tredan Davi’s tenderness for her. She cried with joy! The two of them hugged each other.
“Tredan, I’m a cartoonist and I came back to work at Group Davi just for you. Anyone can speculate and doubt me, or even vilify me, but you can’t, and that would be really, really hard for me!”
“By the way, I was going to ask you about your cartoonist status. What’s going on?” Tredan Davi scratched Octavia Gills’ nose and said to her as if to spoil her, “And what’s all this talk of you coming back for me? Why don’t I think I remember anything about you before the Christmas meeting?”
“I’m a contemporary comic book artist who is quite famous and has produced many good works, but why and how did I come back for you? I’ll tell you when I get the chance, for now it’s a bit of a mystery!” After talking to Tredan Davi, Octavia Gills felt much better!
“And a sense of mystery you!” Tredan Davi said and kissed. “I want you!”
Two restless hands began to roam freely over Octavia Gills’ body. Suddenly Octavia Gills said to Tredan Davi very seriously, protecting the dress, “It’s very expensive, you mustn’t tear it, you see all those clothes on that sofa that you’ve torn off, what a shame, it’s only been worn a few times.”
Tredan Davi was in tears, “It’s just a dress, it’s no big deal, I’ll buy you a new one someday! We shouldn’t spoil the mood over this dress! Right?”
“You’re disgusting!” Octavia Gills was shy as a schoolgirl and snuggled into Tredan Davi’s arms.
The two of them are held and kissed each other passionately!
“Eldwin, is Auntie Elda in? Tell her to come over, I need to see her!”
“Elda seems to have gone to visit her sick son, she should be back soon, I’ll ask her to come and see you when she returns.” Eldwin was the housekeeper of the Drye Family, arranging for the management of all the house affairs of the Drye Family, he is a particularly honest and loyal person who did not bully those under his command, he was widowed at an early age and had a son! Eldwin has never thought of marrying again, but since Elda was taken in by Mrs. Drye, Eldwin has taken good care of Elda and it is obvious to everyone that he is quite fond of her. It’s just that Auntie Elda always says that Eldwin is a good man and doesn’t want to drag him down!
Lilian Drye was not happy about being treated so coldly in Tredan Davi’s office yesterday. She has never been treated like this before, and it’s because of the bitch Octavia Gills, to say that they needed to separate and cool off. She was the princess of the Drye Family and the future successor to the Drye Family, how could she tolerate such humiliation, and she show that bitch, or her name would not be ‘Lilian Drye’. With jealousy and hatred on her face, she looked out of the windowsill of her room toward the entrance to the Drye Family Villa.
“Tredan, if you fail me, I will leave you with nothing. I am the only one who can bring you to the next level in your career, and without me, you will have nothing!”
“Ah Elda, you’re back, how is your son?” Eldwin was back in nagging mode when he saw Elda return. But Elda’s heart was warm, how could she not be aware of the extra care Eldwin had given her over the years, the many difficult and painful days when Eldwin had been there to guide her and comfort her.
“My son looks much better, Mr. Eldwin, you are not standing there waiting for me to return, are you?” From a distance he could be seen walking around the doorway.
Eldwin looked gloomy as he pulled Elda around the corner and spoke to Elda uneasily and worriedly.
“Elda, I have worked in this house for over thirty years and I know the temperament of everyone in the Drye Family very, very well. The Princess was out of sorts when she returned yesterday, after a night of drinking, and being drunk as hell, she asked for you by name early this morning. I have a bad feeling about this. When you go to see the Princess later, be careful in all things! This princess is no better than Mrs. Drye’s kind Lilian, and even Master Drye can’t help her with that temper. No matter what happens later, you bear with it, bear with it and you’ll come through, okay?”
Looking at this Eldwin so nervous, Elda instead laughed at what his worry is about.
“Don’t worry, it’s not like you don’t know me, I’ll take care of it, it’s just that the princess never likes to call on me, so is there something she wants to see me about today?” Lilian Drye had never liked Elda and Octavia Gills since she was a child, but that’s probably how it was with all the famous princesses! It was inevitable that they would be a bit condescending.
“I just don’t feel comfortable waiting here for you because I see she’s looking for you in a fishy way. Well, no more talk, you go over there! Otherwise, the princess is going to lose her temper!”
“Mmmmmm, well, I’m going over there then!” Walking away and turning back to Eldwin, “Mr. Eldwin, take this lunchbox back to the kitchen for me!”
“Good!” Remembering the Princess’ cloudy face, Eldwin looked worriedly at Elda’s back as she went forward.
There was a gentle knock on the door of the Princess’s room. With a “Come in!” from Lilian Drye Elda pushed the door open and entered.
“Princess, is there anything you wish to order of me?” Elda inquired cautiously as she stood beside Lilian Drye in a disciplined manner. Instead of answering Elda’s question, Lilian Drye picked up a piece of white paper with writing on it from the table and headed for Elda.
Snap!
A loud slap resounded throughout the room and Elda was utterly confused as to how the Princess had struck her, Elda looked at Lilian Drye in utter confusion.
“Great… Princess, why did you do that to me?”
Lilian Drye threw the piece of paper right at the center of Elda’s face and shouted at Elda in utter anger, “Why? Open your eyes and see what’s written on this piece of paper, so clearly and plainly, and you have the nerve to ask me why?”
