The CEO's Lovely Twins

Chapter 174 Why Would I Purposely Be Here For You

Chapter 174 Why Would I Purposely Be Here For You

This man seemed to be a deep person. He wouldn't accept anything, even if it was money, without any

equivalent exchange. Hayden decided to come to the point, "When you go to the Bevis family again,

take me with you as your assistant. After the deal, you shall offer to walk around the house to see if

there's any other furniture. And I'll be looking for the person that I want."

The man stared at her for a moment.

"Deal."

The man's assistant called him Mr. Sanchez, so Hayden followed the way he called the man. This time,

they entered the Bevis house smoothly, with Hayden following their back. The woman that drove her

away just now happened to be not there, and she had less trouble too.

Hayden examined the bureau and then gave Mr. Sanchez a meaningful wink after verifying it.

Mr. Sanchez looked at the Bevis, "We'll take it at the price you offered."

Arnold’s eldest brother, Edward, who sold the furniture was overjoyed, and he reached out, "Thank

you…"

The assistant on the side walked in front of Mr. Sanchez knowingly to shake hands with Edward, "So,

the fund will be transferred to your account in half an hour and we'll have someone here to take the

bureau away. We still have time. Can we walk around to see if you have any other furniture?"

"Sure. Of course."

Edward was hoping that they could buy more here.

Mr. Sanchez was very generous. Many people came to look at this bureau, but no one could afford the

price that he offered.

Hayden followed Mr. Sanchez and his assistant into the courtyard and pretended to look at the

furniture. After going through the motions, they entered the backyard. Edward followed in and

explained, "This is the place where my younger brother lives. His furniture is new and nothing special

about it."

Hayden sneered, "Could it be that you're hiding some treasures here and afraid of letting Mr. Sanchez

see it?"

"How could that be possible?" Edward waved his hands and said helplessly, "I'm telling the truth. You

can take a look if you don't trust me. I'm just afraid of wasting your time here."

The assistant, who was not far behind Hayden, muttered, "She does really take herself as a secretary."

As he just finished saying it, he raised his head and saw the boss staring at him with a blank

expression, "If you think it's troublesome, I'll be taking Devin out next time."

The assistant felt a chill and embarrassed, "I didn't mean that."

"Then cut the crap."

Hayden smelled the rich milky flavour as she walked into the backyard. Edward at the side explained, Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"My younger brother is a pastry chef who was just retired. He is used to making such pastries and the

smell is strong too. How about we move on to the other places and have a look."

"Making pastries?" Hayden pretended to be surprised, "Is there any that is ready-made? Mr. Sanchez

hasn't eaten yet. If there's any, we can buy some to have it on our way."

Edward waved his hand, "Need not buying it. You can just take it with you. Mr. Sanchez, what flavour

do you prefer? Sweet or salty?"

Mr. Sanchez looked at Hayden and seemed to be questioning her.

This woman was really good at bluffing him. He never said that he wanted to eat. And she was getting

cheeky.

Hayden then blinked at him, wanting him to act in concert with her.

The assistant at the side couldn't stand her anymore and wanted to speak out, but a clear voice

sounded before him, "Show us the way."

The assistant was astonished, raising his head and staring at the boss for a while, with his jaw

dropped.

Was the boss surprisingly acting in concert with this woman?

Hayden gave him a grateful look and thought that the man was so considerate, knowing that the

person she was looking for was in the kitchen.

Edward led the three people into the kitchen passionately, where the bread's fragrance was coming

from. They felt the heat as they entered the kitchen.

Hayden saw a familiar figure kneading dough in the kitchen, and that was precisely Arnold. And he

seemed to have fully recovered.

"Arnold, Mr. Sanchez just came here to buy furniture. I'm bringing them to have a look at the breads

that you made and let them have some."

Arnold nodded without looking back and said, "Sure. Take any you want."

Edward pointed at the table beside the oven, "Mr. Sanchez, this way please."

There were all kinds of pastries, which were the specialties of the ST Hotel too. It was knotty for the

hotel to hire a new pastry chef after Arnold had left suddenly.

"Mr. Sanchez, have a look and see which do you prefer." Hayden recommended to Mr. Sanchez, "This

flaky pastry with duck oil seems good. The place that I worked before had this too. It's their specialty."

As she just finished talking, behind her where Arnold was working had something dropped onto the

floor, making a loud sound. The crowd looked back and saw the sieving tool on the ground, with white

powder scattered everywhere.

Arnold was at a loss, rooted to the spot, looking at Hayden.

"Ms. Downey?"

Edward frowned, "What happened to you? You scared me stiff."

Hayden frowned, looking surprised too, "Arnold?"

A few moments later, Arnold washed his hands and came into the living room. The house was in

silence, and they could hear Arnold’s wife yelling while feeding the chickens.

Mr. Sanchez and his assistant had left. Edward didn't ask about it and led the people out, after knowing

that Hayden and Arnold knew each other. The two of them were left in the backyard.

"Ms. Downey, did you leave your job?"

"Sort of, as I was the one in-charge of the fire accident. As you can see, I'm working for Mr. Sanchez

now."

Arnold seemed to be nervous when mentioning the fire. He was touching his trouser pocket to take out

a pack of cigarettes. As he was about to light up the cigarette, the cursing and grumbling voice of his

wife sounded from the outside, "Keep smoking and you better die of smoking it."

Arnold was embarrassed. He put the cigarette back into the box after hesitating a while and said, "It's

such a coincidence. I thought that you're here for me."

"Why would I purposely be here for you?"

Hayden made a puzzled look as she glanced towards the door, "By the way, that's your wife right? I

saw her this morning but why did she tell me she didn't know you?"

Arnold was startled for a while then stuttered out, "She was quarrelling with me. Didn't you hear it too?"

"Just because of you smoking? That should be. You had caused a huge loss to the company this time.

Just the equipment of the back kitchen had cost tens of millions."

Hayden seemed indifferent, as if she talked about a matter that had nothing to do with her.

Hearing Hayden's words, Arnold lowered his head, feeling gloomy.

"Well, I still have to accompany Mr. Sanchez to have a look at the furniture. I'll leave first."

Hayden got up suddenly.
