The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 2015

Hertha furrowed her brows, deep in thought. Three years ago, after a night of too many shots with Alaric, they ended up at a hotel. It was a one-time thing.

Could it really have been that night?

Before Hertha could voice her doubts, the receptionist continued, "At that time, Mr. Falconer and you didn't have any ID on you but still wanted to check into the hotel. Normally, we can't allow guests without ID, but I must admit, Mr. Falconer's looks were quite persuasive, and I, maybe a bit too charmed, bent the rules for you two."

"Since you were a man and a woman together, I assigned you a twin room," the receptionist said, stealing a glance at Alaric with a hint of concern. A twin room means there are two separate beds in it.

The receptionist had her own little crush. She was so taken by Alaric's good looks and thought, if she gave them a double bed, would something happen between them?

She didn't want such a handsome guy to end up with another woman, especially not on her watch.

So, with a bit of personal bias, she decided on a twin room for them.

Alaric caught the receptionist's shy, admiring gaze and shot her an annoyed look.

That look was a clear warning-keep those wishful thoughts to yourself.

With the receptionist's story, Hertha was certain-it had to be that drunken night at the hotel with Alaric. The next morning, with her hangover barely faded, she woke up to find Alaric and Georgia in the same bed. That painful, shocking scene was etched in her memory.

It became an insurmountable barrier in her heart, making it impossible for her to forgive Alaric.

And now, here they were, back at the same hotel that harbored such bitter memories for Hertha!

Her breathing became erratic, her jaws clenched tight.

A cold, sharp aura enveloped her.

"Was that woman named Georgia?" Hertha asked, her voice stern.

Back when everything happened, Hertha was too overwhelmed with grief to piece everything together.

So, it was Georgia who had come to the hotel.

The receptionist nodded, "Yes, she's the heiress of the Reed family. She made sure the police knew that."

Georgia's arrogant and haughty

family's status, left a lasting impression on the receptionist.

That's why she remembered her clearly-her name was Georgia.

"Did she go back to the room soon after registering?" Hertha asked, radiating hostility.

The vivid memory of finding Alaric and Georgia together in bed felt like a fresh wound, causing Hertha immense pain.

Alaric, sensing Hertha's growing

anger, was terrified. He feared that

the angrier Hertha would become.

"Cough!" Alaric, his fist to his mouth, coughed loudly, signaling the receptionist to tread carefully with her words.
