The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1957

"Business as usual, no profits yet," Lysander didn't try to hide anything.

Zephyr was among the first to know when he started his new venture and had even confronted him about it. It wasn't a secret anymore.

"Aren't the shareholders you brought over from Sinclair Group getting antsy, seeing no profits yet?" Zephyr's tone was casual, as if they were just making small talk.

But Lysander could tell Zephyr was fishing for information.

"They've been with me for years. They know how I operate. If they couldn't wait, they wouldn't have joined me," Lysander replied, taking a sip of his tea.

"You're definitely more capable than Payton," Zephyr suddenly said.

Lysander's hand paused ever so slightly, holding his teacup. It was almost imperceptible before he returned to his usual demeanor as if nothing had happened.

Receiving such direct praise from Zephyr wasn't something Lysander had anticipated, leaving him slightly taken aback.

"Payton's not bad, either. Since those shareholders left, he's started to really focus on Sinclair Group," Lysander said, pouring more tea into Zephyr's cup.

"What's the use of focusing? Without the right investment insight and matching capabilities, no amount of effort can revive Sinclair Group," Zephyr mused, his tone serious.

Those three years, Payton had been too reckless, causing significant losses and weakening Sinclair Group from within. Now, as he tried to turn things around and make it profitable, it wasn't as simple as it seemed. Maybe for Lysander, it would be an easy task, but for Payton, reviving a deeply troubled Sinclair Group seemed almost impossible.

"It's okay, it's still early days. You should have faith in him, give him some time," Lysander said lightly.

"Three more years? If we give him any more time, Sinclair Group will be history," Zephyr retorted, clearly frustrated.

Sinclair Group was his life's work, precious like a child to him. He couldn't stand by and watch it fall apart. If only age hadn't caught up with him, he would have taken the reins himself.

"Then, Grandfather, you'll have to figure something out," Lysander said.

Zephyr's eyes, cloudy with age,

suddenly looked intently and earnestly at Lysander. "Lysander,

your leg's better now. I'm formallet

inviting you back to Sinclair Group to take the position of CEO. As for your new company, you can continue to run it. Managing both won't be a problem for you."

Holding his teacup, Lysander showed no significant reaction to Zephyr's words. He calmly took a sip, then placed the cup down, lifting his deep gaze towards Zephyr. His lips parted slightly as he finally spoke, Grandfather, Payton is more suited to be the CEO of Sinclair Group." Lysander hadn't forgotten the threat Zephyr made to keep him from leaving with Thalassa from his and Rosalind's wedding. He had said if Lysander dared to leave with Thalassa that day, he should never dream of holding any position at Sinclair Group again! Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

His decision was clear. Between Sinclair Group and Thalassa, he chose Thalassa!

It was his promise to Thalassa, his stance.

Having made his stance clear, he wouldn't go back on his word.

"Lysander, are you blaming me?" Zephyr didn't need to finish his sentence; he could guess what was on Lysander's mind. Lysander was indeed blaming him for not standing firmly by his side when he was unable to stand on his own two feet.
