The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1927

If Remington and Beatrice found out about the children, they would undoubtedly do everything in their power to take them away!

The more Hertha thought about it, the more anxious she became. She quickly positioned herself to block Beatrice's view and said, "Is there something you needed? If not, perhaps it's time you head back home. Alaric is about to leave."

But Beatrice, persistent as ever, leaned in and said, "Of course we're here for a reason. Let us come in and talk."

With urgency in her voice, Beatrice, holding Remington's hand and gently pushing Hertha aside, made her way inside. Hertha moved to stop them, but the two little ones, driven by curiosity, had already bounced into view.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Tilting their innocent little heads, they looked from the two elderly folks at the door to Alaric.

Helena, ever the lively one, flashed a big smile and asked Beatrice, "Grammy, are you my daddy's mommy?"

Beatrice, her heart blooming with joy at the question, chuckled and said, "Yes, dear. I'm your daddy's grandma, and this gentleman is your daddy's grandpa. We're your great-grandparents."

Standing to the side, Hertha was petrified. That was it. The kids had met Remington and Beatrice. There was no hiding them now. What awaited them next?

Hertha dared not think further, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and panic. Remington, who had been keeping up appearances, couldn't contain himself any longer upon seeing the children. He stepped into the house, his face breaking into a wide smile as he looked at Julian and Helena. "You two are absolutely adorable."

"Ha-ha, thank you, great-grandpa! My brother and I grew up on a diet of charm and wit," Helena, outgoing and easily sociable, said.

She warmed up to Remington as if they had known each other forever. Her comment had Remington roaring with laughter.

"Great-grandpa, great-grandma, come inside and play Legos with us," Helena said, tugging at Beatrice and Remington's hands, eagerly pulling them into the house.

Hertha was in turmoil, utterly at a loss, her anxiety peaking. While she was desperately trying to find a way to get Remington and Beatrice to leave, her daughter had led them straight inside.

Hertha, unsure of what to do next, felt Alaric lean in close and whisper, "Don't worry, my grandparents knew about our kids a long time ago. They promised they'd let us handle it."

Hertha turned sharply to Alaric, her gaze filled with shock and disbelief. Did Alaric mean that Remington and Beatrice weren't going to fight her for the children?

Seeing her incredulous look, Alaric's lips curved into a smile. "What, you don't believe me? Just ask my grandparents later."

With that, Alaric joined the kids and started stacking Legos on the foam mat. His grandparents were far more understanding and reasonable than his mother, more supportive of him Sometimes, Alaric even wondered if he was truly Angelina's child.

Kimberly, seeing everyone settled on the floor with the Legos, approached Hertha with a worried look. "I told you, they'd come for the kids right away!"
