The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1919

Talking, she continued, "I saw Angelina yesterday, holding a little boy as she went into the orphanage director's office. If I'm not mistaken, that kid must be Georgia's."

"What? What did you say?" Hertha was so shocked she was speechless, her hands involuntarily clutching Thalassa's arm.

Seeing Hertha's agitated state, Thalassa tried to soothe her, "Hey, take a deep breath. Don't jump to conclusions. I told you this because something seems off. We should look into it."

"What's off?" Hertha's eyes widened, her expression starting to spiral out of control. "Could it be that Georgia's child was borrowed from the orphanage, and they're pretending he's Alaric's? But Alaric took a paternity test with that child. Why would Alaric keep this from me? What's he trying to hide?"

Hertha was clearly panicking.

Thalassa had barely scratched the surface, and Hertha was already losing it, bombarding her with questions.

Thalassa quickly tried to stop her from spiraling.

"Hertha, calm down. We don't know the whole truth yet. Let's head to the orphanage first and see what's up. Once we have all the facts, we can figure out what's going on."

"When do we go?" Hertha looked up, clear panic in her eyes.

"How about after work? We've still got jobs to do, right?" Thalassa said, trying to calm her down.

Hertha nodded.

Throughout the day, though Hertha was physically at work, her mind was elsewhere, completely off her game.

Finally, when work was over, Hertha grabbed Thalassa, and they practically sprinted out of the office.

Hertha drove, with Thalassa in the passenger seat, heading towards the orphanage.

On the way, Thalassa got a call from Lysander.

"I'll come pick you up," Lysander said on the phone.

Thalassa glanced at Hertha and told him, "I'm not at the office right now, I'm out with Hertha..."

"Put it on speaker!" Hertha, knowing it was Lysander, said to Thalassa.

Thalassa switched to speakerphone.

Even without seeing him, Lysander's deep, cool voice made Hertha's heart tighten inexplicably.

She nervously said, "Hehe, Lysander,

"Call me when you're done," Lysander's low, maic voice came through before he hung up.

His words were directed over Hertha, straight to Thalassa.

"Your Lysander is keeping a closer eye on you, almost clingier than during the honeymoon phase," Hertha joked.

Thalassa blushed, a bit embarrassed, "Focus on driving, no gossiping."

Hertha knew Thalassa too well, seeing right through her shyness. She always was thin-skinned.
