The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1909

"Who might that be?" Lysander inquired.

"It's Alaric's mom," Thalassa admitted truthfully.

At that, Lysander couldn't help but glance towards the principal's office. They weren't too far away, but not exactly close either. From their distance, it was impossible to see much of what was happening inside the office.

"Should we say hi?" Lysander suggested.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Thalassa hesitated for a moment, then quickly shook her head, "No need for that, let's get going."

Saying so, she started pushing Lysander away.

Her acquaintance with Alaric's mother was through Hertha.

She didn't really have much interaction with Alaric's mother. Going over to greet her would just make things awkward and uncomfortable.

After Thalassa and Lysander left, Joshua walked into the principal's office, carrying a child in his arms.

He was about to speak with the principal when he noticed someone else was there. He just smiled, nodded, and took a seat on the couch.

Angelina had just finished talking to the principal and handed over the child. Having navigated the business world, she recognized Joshua instantly. Joshua kept a low profile, mostly staying abroad, yet his Whitman Group was renowned both domestically and internationally. Georgia's father was Joshua's cousin.

Georgia's father's success was largely thanks to Joshua's support.

Seeing Joshua, Angelina couldn't pretend not to know him and greeted him warmly, "Mr. Whitman, what a coincidence seeing you here."

Joshua looked up, puzzled, "And you are...?"

Angelina, undeterred by the

awkwardness, introduced herself

warmly, "I'm Angelina, the wife of the Falconer Group's CEO. Our son was once engaged to your cousin's daughter. You've heard of my son Alaric, haven't you?"

Joshua's business was primarily overseas, and after he and his cousin split their focuses between abroad and domestic, their families didn't interact much. Joshua wasn't much involved in his cousin's family affairs, but he was aware of Alaric and Georgia's engagement.

"So, you're Alaric's mother. What a coincidence indeed. What brings you here?" Joshua asked, his gaze shifting between her and another little boy sitting on a small bed in the principal's office.

The boy looked shy and timid, very different from the child in Joshua's arms.

Noticing Joshua's gaze, the boy shyly looked up before quickly averting his eyes, seeming very uncomfortable with the interaction.

Angelina's smile stiffened

momentarily, glancing at the boy on the bed with a hint of guilt, "Just helping out a friend. You're here to see the principal about something important, I presume. I won't keep you."

With that brief exchange, Angelina hurried out of the principal's office.

She had brought the child for Georgia, which ended up being a mess. Georgia, being rather impulsive, had stormed off, leaving the child behind. The child wasn't really Angelina's responsibility, and facing Georgia again was not something she was willing to do. So, she had no choice but to leave the child at the orphanage.

Running into Joshua there was unexpected.

Odd, she thought. Why was Joshua holding a child? Didn't he already have a son?

With her curiosity piqued, Angelina left the orphanage.

Back in the principal's office.

Joshua got straight to the point, "Principal, I need all the information you have on this child. And, I've noticed he seems a bit different from other kids."
