The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1816

This kid, he's taken things a step further than I ever did back in the day.

He actually went and rigged Thalassa's phone with a tracking system, just so he could keep tabs on her every move.

The moment Atticus caught wind of this, he could see that Lysander was steaming mad.

He got all jittery, cautiously saying, "I just missed mom so much, and you know how military school is... they don't exactly let us out for family visits..."

So, that was his way of keeping in touch with Thalassa's whereabouts.

He was just overly concerned about his mom.

Lysander's gaze narrowed dangerously as he leaned in closer to Atticus, his voice low and maic, "You didn't eavesdrop on things you shouldn't have, did you?"

Atticus Sinclair blinked in confusion, not quite catching Lysander's drift at first. But the serious look on his dad's face was a dead giveaway that this was serious business.

Then it hit him, and he quickly held up two fingers, saying, "I would never listen in on mom when she's in the shower or anything. And she doesn't even take her phone with her to the bathroom or shower anyway."

After making his point clear, hoping to show his sincerity, Lysander's expression didn't soften. Those prating eyes still held a hint of suspicion. Seeing his father's scrutinizing gaze, Atticus blinked in bewilderment, clueless about what more Lysander was driving at.

Lysander, seeing the genuinely puzzled look on Atticus's face, felt a wave of relief and ruffled his hair gently, his voice softening, "Good to know. Remember, there's a line when it comes to privacy, especially between men and women. Your mom is a lady, after all."

He was just a kid, after all. There were things he wouldn't understand yet, and judging by his confused reaction, he hadn't overstepped those boundaries.

Lysander then felt at ease.

"Yeah, I get it," Atticus Sinclair nodded, understanding. "We've covered respect and privacy in school, how everyone's entitled to their wn personal space. Even

when it comes to parents.

What Thalassa walked into was this tender moment of Lysander smoothing Atticus's hair and the boy nodding obediently, a picture of fatherly love and filial respect.

It lifted the gloom from Thalassa's heart, and she opened the car door, asking softly, "What are you two chatting about so happily?"

"Uh, mom, we were just..." Atticus Sinclair started.

But a quick glance from Lysander, a silent reminder, made Atticus's smile freeze a bit, and he quickly covered, "Nothing much, just small talk..." Lysander's deep gaze shifted to Thalassa, his voice smooth as silk, "All done?"

Thalassa managed a smile, replying, "Yeah, we were just talking about how Atticus managed to sneak out and find you."

"Callum's a great guy; he's helped mom a lot before. I figured he'd be the best bet for getting things done, and he was more than willing to help out Atticus Sinclair explained why he sought Callum's help.

"Atticus, you're the best for knowing when to seek help. But let's not bother Callum anymore. He has his owndife, and we shouldn't disturb

hip

Thalassa said with a smile.

"Why not?" Atticus Sinclair asked, curious and puzzled.

Lysander replied, "You should just listen to your mom; not everything needs a 'why.""

After saying this, he instructed the driver, "Let's go."

As the car started moving, Thalassa inquired, "Where to?"All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
