The Billionaire’s Pretend Fiancée

Whirlwind of emotions

Roman’s POV

I sighed to myself as I scrolled through the messages Sofie and I had exchanged moments ago. I wondered if she was really doing well like she had claimed or if she was just lying to me.

I had seen how pale and weak she looked before we left home. I didn’t want us to argue in Nathan’s presence, so I just decided to let her go for her classes.

She didn’t have anything to eat for breakfast and when I tried to get her to eat something, she got mad at me and asked me if my purpose in life was to always nag her.

I really didn’t understand the sort of flu that Sofie had that made her so tetchy.

I guessed I’d have to wait for a while before asking her out on a date lest she snapped at me.

There was a knock on the door which made me set my phone aside, “Come in.” I muttered, and one of my female employees walked in with a pile of paperwork in her hold.

“Here it is, sir. The auditing department have gone through everything. The only thing left is your signature.” She said, placing the huge mass of paper on my desk.

“I will go through it again before I sign it, we can’t make the slightest mistake with these documents. On your way out, call Nathan in, you may leave.” I instructed, to which she nodded with her hands professionally clasped in front of her.

“Yes, sir.”

A couple of minutes later, I heard a knock on the door as I inscribed my signature on the pile of paperwork which caused me to look up from the documents to stare at the door.

“Come in.” I muttered, putting the paperwork away and capping my pen.

“You sent for me, sir.” Nathan said as he entered the room.

“Yes, I did.” I mumbled absentmindedly as I sighted an error in the miscellaneous calculation.

I felt the tiniest bit of rage slither in and out of me before correcting the mistake while making a mental note to chide the auditing department later that day.

They had done the same thing two weeks ago, when I asked them to draft an allocation of the new budget they had proposed for me to sign to their department.

“I want you to send some chocolates and other stuff you can gift a convalescent to the house before the day ends.” I said, to which he nodded.

“Alright, sir.” He bowed before exiting the office.

I shifted the paperwork further away from myself as I retracted my phone and tapped on the contact icon. I swiped to Sofie’s contact, and my thumb wavered as an inner turmoil of whether to call her or not whirled within me.

What if she’s busy with a class? Just let her be, she already reassured you that she’s fine. A voice from within seeped into my mind and as I was about to place my phone on the desk, another voice told me to call her, to hear her voice she make sure she was really fine as she claimed and wasn’t lying to me.

I decided on listening to the first voice because I didn’t want Sofie, and I to quarrel like we almost did that morning.

I’d see her at home and I’d know if she had lied to me or not. It was just a matter of hours anyway, I thought to myself before scribbling my signature on the errorless sheets of paperwork and stamping my insignia on them.

I decided that I would observe Sofie’s health and if I saw that she wasn’t improving, I’d take her to the hospital even that meant an argument. If there was anything I hated most in the world, it was seeing the people sick.

I would do anything to the her illness away. Hell, I’d even be sick in her place if that meant I would have my bubbly, less irritable Sofie back.

Lana’s POV

I smiled to myself in satisfaction as I cocked my head out of the car window to inhale lungfuls of the cold air.

I had really missed this country so bad, it had the only person I loved in the whole wide world, it had the love of my life, Roman.

It pained me to refer to him as my ex-boyfriend but I calmed myself with the thought that I’d get him back soon. It was only a matter of weeks or even days before he fell for my charms again, like he always had.

That stupid imbecile that he was parading around America as his fiancée meant nothing to me. I knew his engagement was nothing but a hoax, it surprised me that media outlets bought it.

I mean, how could Roman, the Roman Giovanni, president of GV group of companies, one of the youngest billionaires America had produced, fall for a lowlife like her?

It just wasn’t possible. I wondered how much he must have paid her.

She wasn’t even his type, I knew Roman like the back of my hand, I mean I dated him for three good years before he suddenly broke up with me. I knew how much he loved tall, slender blondes with slightly-tanned skin like me and his other exes.

I was the most beautiul one out of all of them anyway.

It made no sense that Roman would decide to settle down with a petite brunette with pale skin like that bitch, Sofia or Sapphire, whatever her stupid name was.

I made my assistant run a background check on her, and saw how wretched her family were, they couldn’t even be categorized as a middle-class family; they were nothing more than a bunch of poverty-stricken church rats.

“Welcome home, Miss Lana.” A greying, formally-dressed, middle-aged man said to me, as I stepped out of the car and into the premises of my mum’s sperm donor.

When he got wind that I was taking a break from modelling, and returning back home from France after two years, he had gotten through to me and had offered to accommodate me in one of his properties.

I had accepted it of course because even though my mum’s sperm donor was a bastard who abandoned her after knocking her up, it was my right to claim as many of his properties that I could.

“Don’t address me like that, you dumb old man. How dare you call me by first name? You are only allowed to call me Madam Hernandez, do you understand me?” I spat at the man, who looked taken aback for a brief moment before he nodded and bowed.

“Pardon my shortcomings, Madam Hernandez.” He said, to which I scoffed before walking into the mansion where a bevy of maids and two men servants were waiting.

They all bowed silently to me as I further walked into the house. I loved the feeling that came with being above these lowlives called servants.

The butler and a maid escorted me to a bedroom and placed my luggage in the closet before the old man left.

I grinned at my reflection in the mirror, as I sat in front of the dresser with the maid relieving me of my earrings.

I couldn’t hide the excitement sizzling within me at the thought that I was finally going to see the love of my life in person after two frustrating years tomorrow.

“Do you want to yank my ear off?” I spat at the maid who instantly cowered, and bowed to me.Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

“I’m sorry, Madam Hernandez.”

“Good-for-nothing idiot. Get out of my room!” I yelled and she bowed before scurrying away.

“Oh, Roman. I can’t wait to see you again.” I moaned, as I reached for my phone which had Roman’s picture set as the wallpaper before grabbing my vibrating dildo from my handbag, and climbing into bed.

I’d finally have the real thing inside me tomorrow, I thought before fucking myself to a breathtaking orgasm.
